Is it Wednesday? Damn, w/o my Morning Sedition, I can’t even tell what day it is anymore. I’m having a tough time getting motivated to even look at the news anymore. And when the hell is the Daily Show gonna have a new show on?

I’m lost without MS. I’m still listening to Air America, but I find myself turning to NPR whenever Rachel makes an attempt at humor.
i liked rachel’s show better when it fit into a 37 minute podcast.
the new routines seem forced.
Hey Krista,
On that PHXnews website that you linked to in yesterday’s thread, did you notice that in the poll, where they ask who’s corrupt, it defaults to “mostly Democrats?” WTF is up with that? Who created the poll, Kyl and McCain? :fustrate:
IMPEACHMENT!!!
VIGILANCE!!!
:fire:
THE PIXIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ah, yes, instant weight loss. I lost a lot of weight that way in college. :barf:
hey kevin m – i was thinking WTF when i saw that poll too. but on my computer, the default answer was “no”.
guess we both read too much into that.
Morning Evening. My Morning Sedition coffee mugs got quite a few comments at work. CDs were given to interested folks. :fire:
Morning, MS boat people. I was presented a subscription to the Washington Spectator for Christmas. Found it has a website, which I want to share with free-thinking individuals. Of coarse it leands to the left! Is there any other way? Enjoy!
http://www.washingtonspectator.com/
Hey Kevin, I didn’t notice that. This is a “red” state though so I guess I’m used to that.
Kevin,
That poll defaulted to “Other” pour moi.
Mornin’ / evening Kong,NCBlue, Krista,tom t,Kevin M, pj,
Don’t have much time for bloggin’. I’m trying to edit these Morning Sedition episodes. It’s a real bear!
In the immortal words of Nicki! Circulate those Tapes!! :nixon:
I’m doin’ my best…..:fire:
Good Morning….long week so far…I was happy to see my ipod download Majority Report from last night. I hope it was a new one so I have something to listen to when I head out….Maybe its time to start to download books from audible again…
And, hey, I did listen to XM’s The Loft yesterday to catch the Lyle Lovett thing…it was OK…just OK…
Melina
Couple of folks have commented on how rough MS was at first, how grumpy some of the posts area, and to give Riley/Maddow a break. They have a point, but the new AAR mornings were not produced in a vaccum. By late 2004, MS was a finely crafted machine producing outstanding work. Why do we, the listeners, have to start over and tolerate AAR starting from scratch with their morning schedule? The answer, of course, is we don’t. New :sheep:le turning in may hear Rachael and go “wow”, but anyone used MS will probably just go :barf:. (that sure is a gross emoticon!)
That said, at some point I guess we have to let go. What are the stages of grief again? Is anger before or after depression?
You’re spot on mathaz. Talking heads talking heads talking heads!I love Riley and Maddow. It’s just not MS, and there was nothing on AAR like MS, and they did away with that. Why?
Patience Hatebuzz. I got this email from Jon Sinton a couple of weeks ago.
Hi Krista,
I am going to LA first week of Jan to help get Marc squared away. I hope we have something on the air by mid month.
Thanks for keeping the faith.
Jon
What’s up with the music they’re playing on the stream instead of the commercials….
PS – 1537 shows downloaded from my MS archive. Not bad, considering how few external links it has other than my comments here.
methaz: Are you the sedition party? I downloaded alot of your stuff today if you’re Sedition party…
boy i sure feel crummy not having marc and morning sedition any more. anger and depression and listlessness alternate minute by minute. this is so awful what dg did to marc and mark and all of us. 🙁
ahhh foggyblue….don’t be blue buddy….Marc will be back again!
Montana Governor!:omg:
Transform the political culture.
Take both House and Senate in 0’6.:peace:
Well we have to say one thing…
Rachel, at half-energy had a fucking GOLDEN last half-hour today.
She reported the Raw Story piece on how Scanlon’s ex pulled down the house of Abramoff and put the sex in the story that will give it legs…she’s BLOND!!!
Then she had on Montana Dem Governor Schweitzer and had an interview that was TEN times better — we must admit — than either Mark or Marc could have done. I’m sorry the Goldberg plan was not to make a gigantic 5-hour morning show with all of them. That would have been historic.
Jon who? Who has the inside track on Marc info?:?::jesus:
Oh:omg: That Jon.:doh::bow:
This music on the stream sucks! Give me Golah Richards any day.:omg::sheep:
:sheep::sheep::sheep::fire::omg::holla::40:
:sdavid::jesus::nixon:
How many times in a life do you come across something like Morning Sedition?? I’m so glad I was able to recognize and appreciate its genious while it ran. Some mornings I’d be driving and listening and I would say outloud to myself, “man!, this is a great show!” I just wish it would have lasted longer. Now I see that David Lee Roth has a morning drive show:barf: every morning now, I get up wondering what I should listen to. I’m glad that Marc is getting a new show but I wish it was in the morning. I’ll deal with it I guess but, something unique and special is gone and I doubt that AAR will be able to come up with anything that compares. I hope they prove me wrong but…..:-(
The music on the stream reminds me of Tyger Thom’s! I always hated his theme music! I like his show, but his choice of music……naaaahhhh….
STOP Alito! 😡
STOP Alito! 😡
STOP Alito! 😡
Kristapea-we will be able to podcast the Marc show in the morning from the night before! I cant believe how much happier I get just hearing the news that it seems like the show is happening.
Im glad that Rachel is doing well…I will listen in the car in a bit…I like her and I always thought that DG should have had those 3 do the mornings….Why take the funny out of mornings? Kent is great but he is not enough and his bits are better than his banter. When Riley loses Brendan things will really go downhill.
Have they said anything about Brendan leaving to go to work with Marc?
Hang in there guys…
The tone of this blog is so depressed…its a little worrisome that we could all become so dependent on this little show!…crazy isnt it?…
I just need the funny back in the mornings.
Sometimes IM listening to old shows (Thanks so much Methaz!!) and I find myself laughing outloud like I used to.
Im counting the days till I get that back!

Mining companies ARE malicious, Springer. What an apologist for Big Business.:40:
Profits Are evil, Springer! Root of capitalist evil!:rant1:
I realized that I’d given Riley a chance but never got far enough into it to get to Maddow. So I listned to her today and while her show is no Morning Sedition it is at least enjoyable. I won’t rant about how much I love it or follow her from network to syndication to wherever she goes (she’s cute but not THAT cute) I will probably listen in for the last half hour of the morning. I’m not getting up extra early to hear her, though. I do wish Kent Jones would slip into one of his old characters with her. (Or does he earlier in the show and I’m cheating myself?) It’s not that I dislike Riley but that early in the morning straight news without the funny just won’t cut it.
Speaking of the funny, this about fractured my funny bone.
So…..how long til we start seeing cartoons with “A Woman Scorned” as the caption? Ah, the power of female resentment…it is not a thing to be taken lightly.
I’m a little more than shook up about the whole mine disaster fiasco. My bro-in-law used to be a mine manager in Indiana (he started out in the mines in Pennsylvania and ended up in a suit in Indiana and then ended up in jeans tending the greens at a golf course in Dayton, OH and it’s best not to tell any more of the tale.) Every time one of the mines made the news for any reason my entire family would mobilize just in case. For some reason, even though my sister’s family has totally reorganized and they are not even remotely connected to mining anymore, for this one we did it anyway. So we’re all sick at heart this morning. At least I was the only one to go to bed last night thinking 12 had survived only to wake up and learn that only 1 did. My heart aches for the families.
Okay, in an attempt to end on an up note…PJ, the next Pagan holiday ought to have a candle and/or a cow icon. For the next Jewish one, we should have a noisemaker and/or a hamataschen (tri cornered pastry or if necessary tri cornered hat will substitute.) Gosh, I love icons!
:40: although I’d be drinking coffee…
NickiRose, are you seriously listening to Springer instaed of Hartman? Okay, it’s like the choice between the rock and the hard place (as it were) but still…there’s always books on tape…
:rofl2:
gypsy- some of your baked food recipies are part of what I’m packing to take with me to North America. Thanks for all the mouthwatering posts.
So…. Is AAR going to give Riley a blog of his own some day ?? . LJ seems to be the only familiar face on Rachels blog.
Nicki why don’t you tell us what you really think..:rant1::rant1::rofl2:
Gypsy- Im an old fan of Rachel from Unfiltered and she was so fantastic when she had Lizz Winstead of the Daily Show doing the funny alongside her…you could imagine…they were a powerhouse with Chuck D coming and going depending on his schedule.
Anyway, I guess I am loyal to her from that but I also have learned alot about her and the most important thing is that she is so damned smart and such a newsjunkie that I really like getting my news from her. Kent will likely only do his newscasts with her. I think it would be in bad taste to resurrect any of the MS characters without Marc because he was the ringleader of those writers and performers. We can hope that Marc will bring some of them back on his new show though!
Rachel is how I usually start my days so Im glad that at least she was kept in the mornings…I just wish that they would give both Riley and Rachel co-hosts. They both need them…as does Franken too.
Did anyone see the clip of Letterman going after O’Riley? Letterman doesnt often talk politics but he was pretty good.Oh, in other podcasting news: If you subscribe to the NY Times and get Times Select you can now podcast the op-eds. Im not sure if its the columnists reading their own pieces but its a good thing ifyou like Maureen Dowd or Frank Rich…Frank Rich’s Sunday columns are especially great.
Melina
KK, are you bringing the baked goods themselves or just the recipes? Cuz, like, we have ovens here in N. America, ya know. 😆
I think they’re going to forget about Riley’s blog because they figure no one blogs at that hour of the morning. No one in AAR management is particularly bright, I don’t think… :rant1:
gypsy – with no oven here, I’m taking the recipies back to try.
Riley needs a blog.
Tell me you all saw O’Lielly on Letterman last night!
Aw, man it was frickin’ priceless. :rofl2:
One of the funniest bits was O’Lielly referring to British Intelligence as M one six…..last I heard that’s a highway in England.
Yeah Charles Goyette just played it. What was hilarious was when Letterman told O’Lielly that he couldn’t go head to head with him on the issues but he knows that about 60% of what he said was bull.
“Honest to Christ!”
Letterman is a God!
“60% is crap.” :rofl2: wish I saw it all Patrick.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, BOAT PEOPLE!!
(Thanks NC for the continuation of the arc metaphor.)

Well, back in georgia and listend to rachael a bit today. Yes, I like rachael, but boy oh boy, it is NOT a raison d’etre to wake up in the morning. zzzzzzzzzz
ANY NEWS YET ON THE RETURN OF MARON????
FYI, mr farmerkat is en route to rummy world for a couple months.
PS pj, if you do a cow icon, could it please be a beltie ? 😆
no news from Marc, that I know of. 😥
Hey Farmerkat, good to see you! Maybe the new show could be called The SS Sedition Show. SS stands for Sheeple Shakin’.
Hey there Kristapea – love it – :sheep: sheeple shakin’ On XM they still play Marc’s good morning philospher kings and queens ad — fun to hear!
KK, how long will you be in land of the shameless america?
re: Letterman clip – don’t know if this is the entire bit, but here’s a link until C&L puts up their link. http://www.cbs.com/latenight/lateshow/#
OH – HUFFPO has a bigger clip, I think.
Happy Hump-day :sheep::sheep::sheep:le,
Patience isn’t one of my virtues but thanks for the encouragement KP.
I seem to be winning the war on my cold, but the damn thing seems to be hanging on during its last throes. I’m in desperate need of some laughter. I’ll probably listen to some War on Brains episodes. It is Wednesday after all.
Wake up :sheep::sheep::sheep:le.

Kristapea, you made my day. Sounds like Sinton is the captain of the Good Ship Maron at AAR. If he pulls this off, we should all send thank-you notes, because Goldberg will be loaded for bear.
Riley was really sad to listen to this morning. I like Riley, and my heart hurts to hear all the hating gone on here. Keep in mind it’s not his fault. But still — Marc made HIM better too.
Rachel’s show is better than Mark’s, I’m afraid. I’m thinking that they decided either that no one listens from 5-7, or else they’re trying to set Mark Riley up to fail.
Either way, it sucks, and I miss Morning Sedition more every frickin’ day.
Yes I’m (methaz) trying to run seditionparty.org. If the friggin hurricane season will just END :omg:! ( TS Zeta is still out there churning around. Had an outage for a bit from 10:30-12:30 because the power company changed out a transformer and I took the opportunity to do some maintenance myself. Glad they did; power line was noisy.
brilliant – I don’t think it’s hate for Riley; I think it’s disappointment. Hearing his voice triggers a strong desire for the thought to be finished by Maron, and it never is. It’s got to be tough going solo after having the kind of chemistry they seem to have had.
No, the hate is for AAR:rant1:!
does anyone have information about Mike Martinez, the guy who Marc and Mark inspired to run for Congress in Texas? i’d like to see what i could do to help him out.
Sam Seder is blogging right now over at http://www.majorityreportradio.com and in an answer to a blogger’s question said “the powers are negotiating with maron for a 1 hour show post majority report…don’t know the status.” This is discouraging. Only an hour? And still negotiating?
Well, at least Sam is sticking by his side…
Again, stop dissing Riley. You guys should have heard the audio valium that has been WBAI. They were the only progressive radio around, and the morning guy is boring. Besides the fact that they waste 50,000 watts of power on tiny school board elections in Brooklyn (not that it’s not news, but just not for a drive time show), they really don’t have much coherence or direction. That’s the stereotype liberals have been fighting, and they make the neocons look good.
Oh, man. A one-hour show (37 minutes, sans commercials) is not enough.
I think Marc said something about doing a show right on AAR and maybe a weekend show in syndication. Maybe that’s what Sam is referring to.
But, yeah, an hour? That’s barely warming up time…
I would say this, Gypsy.
One hour of Maron beats the hell out of 3 hours of the alternatives.
Agreed?
Given a choice, I would say that 3 hours of Maron commercial-free and unencumbered by the FCC on satellite radio is better than a “premium” subscription to AAR for 37 minutes of Maron and a lot of other stuff that I’m now having difficulty finding the time to listen to for free.
I second that, pj.
Fer cry’n out loud, AAR, just give us the maron and stop
I know we have to worry about Maron.
I also know that there are big issues, such as Abramoff, Alito and the Sago Mine officials who may have culpability in 12 miners deaths in WV.
I am concerned that we are losing focus on the real issues. Maron is important, but let’s not lose focus on the real issues.
gachplope, please don’t take this too personally but…
Why aren’t they talking about the issues? We’re fighting for our lives here!
I don’t think we’re losing focus. The real issues are addressed here and, even more thoroughly, on blogs dedicated to them. Here we focus on them AND on Maron. And Jim Earl, never forget HIM! (:priest:)
I’m a loyal Seditionista — really! And I miss the insight, the depth, the timing…and the funny.
The point I was trying to make is that Mark and Rachael are having to work under the formula dumped on them from the top. Not an excuse for a product that is not living up to the manner in which we have been accustomed. They are both pros and know how to deliver. And AAR is like any other business where the decent employees take some time to figure out how to work around the goober bosses and actually get the job done despite the interference from the top….
Abramoff dropped (partially) by the bimbo that tried to hustle Powell off the TV interveiw…heh heh heh. Love it.
VIGILANCE!
:nixon:
heres an email i sent to a local development company here in buffalo ny that donated to both the republican and the democratic candidates in the 2004 election cycle
i find it odd that Carl J. Montante donated 2000 dollars to both nancy naples and brian higgins for the 2004 campaign isnt that a conflict of interest somewhere since they were both running against eachother? or was it not a donation to a campaign but a bribe to get them to do something for the uniland development company when one of the two was elected to congress? please explain to me why the president and managing director of your company would be so stupid as to put his money to work against his money if it wasnt a bribe thank you very much for a quick honest response
:bow::priest: i miss milfington
Well, FWIW, I’m officially concerned about bringing our people home from Iraq (some pictures I took at a New Year’s Eve vigil, timed to coincide with midnight in Baghdad, for those interested), the NSA spying on US citizens, and social programs being cut to pay for tax cuts for the uber-rich, while we still have record deficits (among other things). I hope Abramoff sings loud and long, and I hope Scalito’s mediocre public opinion ratings plummet when people really start to focus on him. I’m worried that shit jobs at Wal-Mart are all that will be available for our kids and grandkids, and I’m very, very, hopeful that the Republicans will lose at least one house of Congress in 2005 (even if it IS to Republican-lite).
I’m concerned that there was a chance to get folks – especially younger ones – focused on these issues and many others with the departure of Howard Stern from morning radio, but the idiots – ‘scuse me, idiot at AAR dumped the most informative and entertaining show on the radio, while keeping Jerry (booooooooooring) Springer.
Marc Maron? I’m not so concerned for him. He’ll do well no matter what. I just want to be able to hear him continue to stick it it the Bushies, while making me laugh out loud.
Well, I’m worried about the issues AND I’m worried about Maron, and in both cases I’m concerned about the impact it’s gonna have on me (not the only thing I’m worried about in all cases but something I’m certainly thinking about.)
Hey, KK, here’s another one you might like. This one is from Williams-Sonoma and my friend the chef swears by their recipes.
Almond Scones with Tangerine Curd
Makes 12 scones and 1 1/2 cups curd.
Ingredients
For the tangerine curd:
1 whole egg plus 4 large egg yolks
1?3 cup sugar
Pinch of kosher salt
Grated zest of 1 tangerine
3?4 cup fresh tangerine juice
6 Tbs. (3/4 stick) cold unsalted butter
For the scones:
2 1?2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1?2 cup blanched almonds, finely ground, plus
1?4 cup sliced almonds
2 Tbs. sugar
1 Tbs. baking powder
3?4 tsp. fine sea salt
6 Tbs. (3/4 stick) cold unsalted butter
2 eggs, beaten
1?2 cup heavy cream
1?4 tsp. almond extract
1 egg yolk mixed with 1 Tbs. half-and-half
Directions
To make the tangerine curd, in a saucepan over medium-low heat, bring 1 inch of water to a low simmer. In a stainless-steel bowl, combine the whole egg, egg yolks, sugar and kosher salt and whisk to combine. Whisk in the tangerine zest and juice. Place the bowl over the pan of simmering water and whisk until the eggs are warm and begin to thicken, about 3 minutes. Whisk in the butter 1 Tbs. at a time and continue whisking constantly until the mixture is thick enough to form a thick, nondissolving ribbon on the surface when dropped from the whisk, at least 10 minutes total.
Remove from the heat and strain the curd through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl. Cover with plastic wrap, pressing it directly on the surface to prevent a skin from forming, and let cool. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to 1 week.
Preheat an oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
To make the scones, in a large bowl, combine the flour, ground almonds, sugar, baking powder and sea salt and whisk until well blended. Cut the butter into small pieces and add to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or 2 table knives, cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream and almond extract. Stir into the flour mixture just until evenly moistened.
Turn the dough out on a floured board, form it into a ball and knead a few times just until smooth. Pat into a disk about 1 inch thick and cut into 12 equal wedges. Transfer the wedges to the prepared pan, spacing them 2 inches apart. Brush the tops lightly with the yolk mixture. Sprinkle each wedge with about 1 tsp. of the sliced almonds.
Bake until the scones are golden brown on the bottoms and lightly golden on the tops, about 15 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm, with the tangerine curd.

No offense taken, gypsy. Believe me.
But here’s one.
Let’s not forget about Cindy Sheehan.
It seems to have gone awfully quiet on Cindy. Maybe I’m missing something. (Very possible)
She is a very courageous woman.
Speaking of Cindy Sheehan (and code pink), David Barsamian ran a talk given by one of the founders of Code Pink for his NPR show this week. I don’t remember her name, but it was not Medea.
I posted this without reading the latest messages.
Was is Jodie Evans of Code Pink?
I’ve met her on several occasions in El Salvador in 1982.
She is an amazing person…one you never forget after your meeting.
Daily Rant.
I noticed that few people were blogging on Rachel’s site today. I was #9 (I hate that fucking pretentious, John Cage rip-off song).
2. I was too tired to participate in SEDER’s forum today on the Majority Report blog. That is fair, though. I do not have a regular name there. Mostly a lefty lurker who picks fights sometimes with the stuff-shirts.
3. I am glad that KPOJ has picked up the Riley/Rachel bloc. Yes, I miss Morning Sedition. But until the revolution–or I own a radio station–I will pick and choose. (I like Riley.)
4. Mining Tragedy. So sad.
5. Got to revitalize my art career; I am so oppressed.:omg:
6. Circulate…:nixon:
Afternoon, Seditionists!
Although I’d downloaded 350+ episodes of MS, I only recently uploaded them to my iPod (which, when my husband gave it to me a year ago, I had very little interest in, even after Maron’s conversion) and got an adaptor for the car. Listened to the first archived show, 4/12/04, today. What’s amazing to me is that even though they came such a long way by the end, it was STILL interesting back then. You could hear the seeds taking root . . . some didn’t make it (Sue Ellicot), but others yielded beautiful vines that constantly surprised us. So a belated shout-out to hubby for the gift of MS in the car. Yaaaay!
Anyway, I was doing some things around the house, singing “Mental Disposition,” as I am wont to do from time to time, and I was thinking Marc’s new show should be called “Creepy Weirdos,” a nod to the song. (Not that MM or any of his “crew” are creepy or weird.)
Okay, maybe it’s not such a good idea.
By the way, where IS Brian from Everett, and why doesn’t he blog here?!?
Obsessed tourist ‘marries’ dolphin
British tourist Sharon Tendler has finally made her dream match – by “marrying” a dolphin she has been visiting for 15 years in the Israeli resort of Eilat, the mass-circulation Yediot Ahronot daily reported today.
Tendler, 41, has been visiting the city on the Gulf of Aqaba two or three times a year to spend time with her 35-year-old underwater sweetheart.
“The peace and tranquility under water, and his love, would calm me down,” the Israeli daily quoted her as saying.
Last week Tendler finally plucked up the courage to ask the dolphin’s trainer for the mammal’s fin in marriage.
The wedding took place Wednesday, with the bride, wearing a white dress and watched by amazed spectators, walking down the dock to where the groom was waiting in the water.
She kissed him, to the cheers of the spectators and then, after the ceremony was sealed with some mackerels, was tossed into the water so she could swim away with her new husband.
“I’m the happiest girl on earth,” the bride was quoted as saying. “I made a dream come true. And I am not a pervert.”

Hey, who are we to say?
They love each other.
like all of you still searching for the way to get thru the morning. still have not been able to listen to riley, today i podcast franken from yesterday, it got me thru, and then i finished off with sammy the stem cell clip. boy do we need the laughter…miss morning sedition so much, and yes it is good listening to the old shows, will do that tomorrow….
Brian always sounded as if he was hurting for cash, so it could very well be that he can’t afford a computer and/or Internet access.
Still having power problems. Have a solar system on order – then all critical systems will be off grid – can’t wait!
gachplope – when/where where you in El Salvador? I was in and out of the region in 82-86, but that was when I was working for the dark side (was on detached duty working for Bud McFarlane, if that name brings back memories for anybody, and later the current SECDEF).
As for issues, there are so many areas that conservatives and progressives could agree on, for the betterment of the country and world, if the bitter name calling stopped and a dialogue could be started.
To me that’s why MS was special, and made me consider some progressive viewpoints I hadn’t previously. The humor in MS was funny without being nasty, at least in my view. One other thing that MS did that I don’t see other shows doing is poking fun at progressives – Pendejo was classic. Maron played a key role in that he often expressed doubts and said “I don’t know” – and seemed to mean it. Others on AAR don’t have that quality – and therefore (to me at least) come across as self rightous and mean spirited (Maddow, for instance).
Bat out of Hell!”:omg: I saw Meatloaf on German Television moons ago. (Referencing Randi Rhodes.) Letterman took on O’Reilly last night. Remember how Stern kissed O’Reilly’s butt recently. :sheep: Olbermann has been doing a good job of dismantling Bill. What happened to the O’Franken Factor. That book reading event, a duel between Franken and O’Reilly.:rofl2:
Diapers on horses.:rofl2:
Speaking of Brian: I am going to visit Everett, WA later this month. Perhaps I will run into “Brian from Everett.”:rofl2:
Circulate…:nixon:
Wow! It’s been a long time. Lots has happened. I spent time with my 96.5 year old mother. My father-in-law died while I was there — on Christmas Day. I flew to Pittsburgh for the burial. While shopping at Pitt’s local Whole Foods Super Market, I met Dr. Bonner, a major in the marine corps. Thanks to being shot in Iraq and unsuccessful treatment by the armed forces medical corps, she’d had an entire digestive tract transplant on October 29. She wouldn’t have had this life saving surgery if she hadn’t complained to her congress people. She has strong views about the war that mesh with ours, but I have to sign off now.
My husband and I are going out to celebrate. Yesterday a radiologist gave me scary news. Although my mammogram looked good, my ultrasound looked bad. Fortunately, we have a state of the art clinic devoted to breasts (male and female). They gave me a clean bill of health and even told me that researchers are now questioning if the kind of breast cancer I had three and a half years is really breast cancer.:rofl2:
More on Dr. Bonner later. I’m hoping that my local Pink Code group can help her. She is eager to speak against the war and the way it is being handled.
Still missing Marc — lots, but finally truned on Rachel to exercise to her interview with the guy from Montana.
BREAKING | Sharon Has Massive Stroke
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/010406X.shtml
Wow, I wonder what that means for the Middle East? 😐
If that fat slob dies, it won’t change shit. Sharon is a murderous pig. He wants to keep most of the West Bank and leave the Palestinians fragmented bantustans. None of the major Israeli political figures support international law in regards to the Palestinians’s right to national self-determination. :sdavid::cres::jesus::peace:
I haven’t seen anything here about the email that marc just sent out. here it is:

I am not a regional maronite, so I’m not sure why I got this message, but I am always happy to see the “marc maron” name in my inbox.
god, do I miss MS and maron. it’s such a different tempo, such a different beginning to my day. how I really did love waking up with laughter.
it’ll be great to hear his new show, but I know it won’t be quite the same. no Funny in the morning, and also I don’t even have an ipod (I guess that shows how clueless I am). streaming is my only hope, but it’s pretty inconvenient for my (mommy) lifestyle. sigh.
I’m learning the zen benefits of silence, I guess.
Thanks for posting that. I didn’t get it, and am very happy to hear from MArc, even if I can’t go to a show.

ah, a new Daily Show!
Thatks for the Marc update intended for you Angelenos.
BTW it that ad for “866 510 MEGA” network or local here in Stumptown? If local I may have to “visit” POJ. (I wonder if I can podcast from prison?)
what the hell man!!!!!!! maron is finally doing a gig in LA and it’s 21 and over!!:fustrate::mad:
i hate my age!! can’t wait till March!:nixon:
I MISS Morning Sedition BIGTIME!!!!!
Marc’s heart on his sleeve & fire in his belly approach, along with his knowledge and interviewing skills, are first rate in broadcasting.
And to make me laugh out loud at the same time!! Wow, that’s great RADIO!
I think Mark Riley was great also, but Mark – Marc = not many laughs. When will Marc be on in LA and can we get podcasts or streaming radio?
PS the “comments” form always shows “invalid input!” when I try to use it– just ask me, I know my input is WAY valid!! Hope it gets fixed. Thanks MARC!
