oh Mark Twain…..you slay me.:banana::rofl2:
Wake up sheeple:sheep:
It’s been like 10 mins. I stayed up for this, man.
Somebody say something to somebody or something! (Does that even make sense?)
Quietgirl, what’s up?
I don’t get it, Quietgirl. I’m kinda of slow with it though.
Hey Travis Welcome back
Having the sports on makes me ill..:barf:
The News on KPOJ seems to think Alito will be confirmed or the Rethugs will invoke the nuclear option. Stock up on bricks and buy a wrist rocket for the upcoming house/seante campaigns.:rant1::mad:
I get it now. Oh man, I feel stupid.:fustrate:
I think I have brain damage damage from the surgery…no really.
KPOJ has these promotion clips for Franken and Rhodes on in place of some of their commercials. Al’s promotion clip puts me to ssssllleeeeeeep and Randi says privatize when she really means nationalize and that bugs the h out of me. Rhodes also admits she was reading the economist while sitting on the pot in the airplane restroom.. she carefully covers that up though.
Hey Fred, what’s up? This place seems kind of quiet, doesn’t it?
I can’t really type, my head is spinning and my thoughts are lagging. I keep writing stuff, then erasing it and doing it over and over again. It makes me all confused. I don’t know what to do, man. Does it seem hot in here? I’ll be back in a second, I have to get some water.
The Washington DC Dems do not seem to listen to AAR or they would be in information overload on Alito.
If the people on the left don’t know about Alito by now then AAR is a complete failure at getting out the message to the people. I find it amazing at the number of people on the left I have talked to that have listened to AAR but though it was to negative and turned it off. Denying that their is a problem will solve nothing and will certainly never get the people into the streets.
The M$M is good at physiological warfare. If they keep saying that Alito will be confirmed and not telling the truth the people that know whats going on will just get frustrated and turn it off and the truth will never be told. Most people these days live in such isolation that they would have no idea what more than another two or three people are thinking.
Quietgirl, I was thinking about Santa’s slay:santacool:
I don’t have enough energy to stay up (or even think straight), so I’ll be back this afternoon.
trav…..i wrote slay, but santa has a sleigh, dear. but it’s probably just the meds that are messing you up…go get some rest:banana:
oh! Morning Fred…..and hello to any other Seditionist that may come on by…..:alc:
Evening Morning!
Travis- Great to see you in action. (read your posts yesterday)
Yup, I’m spacin’ it. But I think I would have made that strange association high or low. Check it–Santa’s Slay
I’m toast. This is the last post… I’m not making much sense.
ha!! Santa’s Slay looks like it could be an MST3K movie….i’m sure only a few people will get that reference:fustrate:
Mystery science theatre 3000
I think…I’m :bong:
Evening Morning back atchya King King.
hey! you got it Travis!:banana::banana::banana:
now go-beddy-bye
Alright, I’m going, I’m goin’…
Ha! Quietgirl beat me to the Santa’s Slay joke. I was going to say that Wes Craven is coming out with that movie this Christmas.:rofl2:
So if the “annoying troll” law is in effect, am I breaking the law whenever I e-mail my Congressman and senators? ‘Cause when the bankruptcy bill passed, I sent one to Bill Nelson that I’m sure annoyed the hell out of whoever on his staff read it.
John Tierney’s column in the NYT this week concerning the Florida school-vouchers ruling really annoyed me. Can I sue his ass? Or can he now sue ME for posting this?
DOWN WITH SCALITO!!!
IMPEACHMENT!!!
VIGILANCE!!!
:fire::fire::fire:
If you like MST3K, every see Kung Pow: Enter the Fist? :rofl2:
Hello fellow seditionists! :fire:
Well, I stayed up last night long enough to watch the first 45 minutes of the Alito hearings. What a snooze fest that was…I didn’t know they weren’t going to get into the questioning…..
Did you guys read that post by HY yesterday saying that this site was nothing but anti-Riley and that we SHOULD just stick to talking about Maron, and asked why we even listen to the “new shows?”
Alito hearings continue today on C-span at 9:30 EST.
Hey Jason If you have ever watched the senate/house proceedings on C-span you will see that they spend more than half their time in procedural things and very little time doing anything.. and we pay these guys like 150k a year to to that… of course now we are seeing that congress is only their “part time” job.
kevin, isn’t the law for annoying post such as, “you all suck! eat shit and die! neo-cons rule you stupid liberal nut jobs!! ahahahaha”….notice i put the neo-con rule, so i wouldn’t get arrested :fustrate:
i don’t think your emails are illegal……yet.
hey kong, ” call me…..MASTER BETTY!!”
Yeah Fred I’ve watched a lot of Span in the past….just usually not at 2:30 in the morning, I know how boring it can be but there is always chances for explosions…:rant1:
It starts at 9:30 today? Great! The Dems better not back down on Alito!
Kong: The latest Daily Show and Colbert report are available for download over here mininova
:peace:
you guys, the Dems better rip Alito a new one or i’m going to be really angry…..you wouldn’t like me when i’m angry.:yuck: sorry about that little smiley thing, but it was the only one that was green like the Hulk.
Jason are you saying that the house/senate proceedings are something like NASCAR. ?? People only watch it to see the collisions and the fires ??
I think Rachel is Stephanie light.. I listened to Miller yesterday.. it was entertaining but not very informative if you had been listening to AAR very much.
Naahh Fred I ain’t saying that. I’m not so into Nascar. But, I do like a good heated debate…
stephanie is a little crazy. my mom loves listening to her. i like the impressions her voice guy does…it’s a little hyper, but it’s the only way i can get comedy and my news in the morning
Thanks Jason, I’ll download ’em when I change computers (iBook to eMac)
Look here how a third world country like India creates cogent arguments in the law to make abortion and the right to choose as a constitutionally accepted law.
Senators like Coburn who talk about ripping off life while opposing abortion conveniently skirt around issues of unwanted pregnancies due to incest or rape.
I would think that many more people watch the Alito hearings on C-span than you could ever fit into any space in DC. What good does it do the rethugs to make getting into the hearing difficult. ?? Usually the gallery does not get up and throw things at the congress people.
i got to go Seditionists….i’ll come back in the afternoon.
I have noticed that both Hartman and Rhodes are saying absolutely amazing more and more as they watch the rethugs dismantle the democracy.. err.. the republic.. err… the monarchy.. err.. the constitution. I envision them on a bull horn in steerage on the Titanic describing the sinking to the huddled masses in real time.. Randi’s voice keeps getting shriller and shriller as more and more bulkheads are breached. Do you think they will ever say the R word ??
Sorry quietgirl, “MASTER BETTY” hahaha. There’s a copy of it around here someplace. It’s time to watch it again. Steve O’s got a cartoon coming out called Barnyard that looks like Far Side come to life.
========================================
There no longer seem to be links to management on the AAR site, only e-mail forms on specific show pages, which seem to be for those shows specifically.
If Anbody recalls the adress of the “honcho’s” and would like to forward the below message, I’d appreciate it.

Subject:
An Idea for Music On The Stream
My understanding is that Mr. Goldberg has long standing ties to the music industry, has long been “an activist”, & has also been a manager of many artists, such as Air America’s Steve Earle.
Surely this connection can be used to prevail upon SOME artists to “donate” the use of a 1 or 2 tracks each (preferably of political nature).
Personally, if I had to listen to one song over & over, it would be the Clash’s “Know Your Rights”, but I’m sure that a variety of tunes would ensure more people’s listenership in areas where broadcast reception is not an option, even in those periods of “blackout” (I’m assuming these occur when a “local” advertiser’s product is being promoted).
Another Idea would be to get some artists to perform on AirAmerica from time-to-time, and run the recordings of those performances instead of the canned “cleared” music that currently sends me screaming back to NPR after three commercial breaks or fewer.
I simply can’t take it. It must be like the way malls and convenience stores reportedly play music young people find distateful (Mahler, Bing Crosby) to kep them from congregating in their parking lots & entryways. It is a true irritant.
Perhaps as a way of cross-promoting their shows, the “interstitial” music could be programmed by Mr. Earle, Mr. Kyle Jason, and (if he’s still on board with AAR), Mr. Chuck D.
(Sent from Outside the Range of New Haven, CT’s 1300AM.)

Hummmm … Fishguy your long lines of ==== seem to have done bad things. Never mind…. thanks
Anyone know what’s going on with The Sedition Party websight? ❓
Shake up Weeple!
The thing that’s really gonna make me stop listening to AAR is that stupid media player that is also a popup ad. Right now I’m just waiting for Marc’s show but that stupid popup ad keeps interrupting my reading and typing and it’s EXTREMELY annoying. The music sux too, I’d rather hear local ads and traffic. It sounds more natural.
Are we in trouble yet? The media consensus seems to be that after the first day of Benito Alito’s confirmation hearing, that the vast majority of Americans do not care; therefore the hearings are little more than a dog and pony show.:omg:
The BBC said this. So did Morning Edition. Ditto Riley and Maddow.
:fire:Smash:doh:Alito.
stephanie is a little crazy. my mom loves listening to her.
What drives me crazy is that she does the audible shuffling of papers bit. If anyone has ever listened to the pillboy oxycontimoron druggie Rush Limbaugh, you know what I am talking about. The bloated one does the same thing, thinking it gives him GRAVITAS.
Hell with confirmations!
:fire:Alito.
Kristapea- go to the airamericaplace.com and click on Listen live to AAR. You’ll get realplayer to open itself sans ads!
Kong: Do you run on the Tiger for OSX?
yes, sir!
Check this out. I’ve been using it for the longest time and it works great. It’s an AAR widget for your dashboard..here
well that didn’t work hold on….
i gotta say i listen to stephanie miller. i gotta have some “funny” with my politics! sure she’s a lil’ silly but her voice guy jim ward is the absolute best in the business! and they do slam o’liely, rush, and hannity’s daily show rants…and do that well.
and it’s a damn site better than springer radio, that’s for damn sure!
Thanks KK
mjk just contacted me and is also waiting for a new announcement on Marc’s show.
Kong:here
Hey. Did somebody here call the Malloy show last night? Kevin from NY?:omg:
Why don’t mjk and NCBlue blog here? 🙁
Hiya there Nicki! Gonna watch the hearings today? :alc::omg::nixon:
:sheep::sheep::sheep::sheep::sheep::40::omg:
With Alito on the court….gerrymandering of districts….Deoboldt dominionists rigging….Bill Frankenfrist President….more nazis to the SC….:omg: I am having concentration camp nightmares!:sheep::sheep::sheep::sheep:
I need shock therapy! The Dems are caving, just like in 2000 and 2004!:omg:
Krista… You can also right click on the player part of the AAR popup and it will give a drop down menu that says Play with Real Player. Selecting that will open real player and you can close the popup player.
Got it. Thanks, jason.
How’s everything at The Era, a great place for news?
Hey Kong did you see the link? :40:
Watching The Daily Show!
We Can’t wait:omg: Drive out this fascist regime! January 31.:fire:
Thanks Kong! And thanks for leaving messages. I left a fairly lengthy message to ya’ on yesterdays Seditionist thread, but I think you had left by the time I posted it…
About that widget, I’ve really had no problem with it and you don’t have to open real player at all….
:sheep::sheep::sheep::sheep::sheep::sheep:Stampede! Wipe out the bush regime!
Yeah I need to watch it too…..okay…before the Alito hearings…:fire:
I have got to go to the dentist this morning. OH fun!:40:
:nixon:Tapes!:peace:
:sheep::fire:Stampede….
:billcat::rofl2::rabbi:OK enough!:sheep:
Jason, I read this blog and the messages I miss at lunch the next day. Isaw your message. Try to keep your blog going. I ask you about it as a plug.
Oh. God. Springer. Boring.
Can’t get Steph, gonna go listen to a MS archive.

SAMUEL ALITO
Via Majority Report website this important article by Robert Gordon, January 9, 2006 entitled The Basic Case Against Samuel Alito. This is a good summary to help in composing emails, letters, postcards and phone calls to oppose the Alito nomination. I was part of citizens of this country aborting the Bork Nomination. So, it can be done.

There is no excuse for Alito to take such a hostile approach toward as Robert Gordon calls, the “subordinated, excluded and marginalized people” of our country. Gordon continues, “Alito and his comrades went into law to dismantle the achievements of the New Deal, Warren Court and Great Society…a rather pinched and negative set of ideals…”
I will be spending the morning composing my own emails. It puzzles me how someone could grow up during the inspiring civil rights era and hold such ideas. I am four years older than Alito, grew up in a small town in Oklahoma went to a state university and I found the Civil Rights Movement to be a defining moment in my life that opened my eyes to the ideals of Martin Luther King, Jr. It forever changed me. In contrast Samuel Alito saw the Civil Rights Movement as a reason to become more constrictive in his ideas. It doesn’t make sense to me. I do not want Samuel Alito’s vision for America.
My links do not work. Here are the websites I refer to: http://www.majorityreportradio.com and http//balkin.blogspot.com/2006/01/basic-case-against-alito.html.
If anyone knows why I am having trouble with the links, please let me know.
You can view Robert Gordon’s essay from a link on The Majority Report.
Heya, Fishguy. I’m betting hatebuzz (Charlie G on the old blog) still has the info. Hatebuzz, you out there?
isi,I can help if you have Apple. If not stick on Disraeli Gears and turn the computer off and worry about it tomorrow.
KK- I have a PC. If I type out the entire website it works, but when I type a word and then link to the website, doesn’t work.
Alito sounds pretty nervous, understandably, but does he always sound like that?
isi your links seem to link to some other page that does not exist on the morningseditionists blog as apposed to the pages on majorityreportradio.com. How did you create them ??
isi – one hint, write – link button – phrase – link button – write
see if it works.
isi: what browser are you using? Try firefox. I had the same problem with Safari….
Alito? Keep posting. Organizings records and CDs, tonight, so I’m listening.
Patrick Leahy reminds me of the Grandfather in Fargo…
“mmmmmhhhhmmmm No Jean, No Money!” :rofl2:
Anybody get it?
I have microsoft windows. After I typed the sentence I then went back and highlighted the word I wanted to give a link to, clicked on link and then typed in the website.
isi You can just type
http://www.majorityreportradio.com or go to the site and highlight the URL and right click copy then paste it into the blog page. I don’t know what the link tags in the edit window do.
Go through the steps again isi. It might help just to see where you went wrong, what I mean is try it again. What web browser are you using? Seems Fire Fox is safe from bugs
isi: I don’t think anyone is gonna mind here if you keep posting empty links here until it works. That’s what I do all the time. Just do it til it works…:fire:
Jason tnx best idea so far :rofl2:
Who is the woman sitting behind Alito? She’s always there behind his left shoulder. Looks like a little propaganda spot to me…:omg:
isi-keep posting till it works
Thanks Fred, but I’m serious…I’m good :sheep::bong:
Hunter S. Thompson “Good people”
Okay, here is the link to Seder’s website.
Woo-hoo! It worked. Thanks everyone for giving me the confidence to try again.
Worked isi…good job!! :fire:
Isi, if you’re interested, here’s another article about Alito from The Nation: The Case Against Alito
Orrin Hatch! Whatever! Screw you! 😡
Thanks Jason, I will use that article to help me in my letter writing.
There’s another woman that sits behind him on the left side who stares at the back of his head like some sort of android…
I will use that article to help me in my letter writing.
isi: What does that mean? a joke? ?
pretty softball so far. Fifteen minute break pursues….
night, Seditionists Errant.
Night Kong! :peace:
I can probably make an educated guess about contestant number two. He is a software engineer trying to learn how to administer three different databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle) while mastering the ins and outs of XHTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, XSL, ASP, VBScript, JavaScript, PHP, VB.net and C#. Since money is involved he probably finds that stuff takes priority, at least occassionally.
He is also actively involved in the local Democratic Party at the precinct, county and state levels. In his spare time he is an avid Washington Redskins fan, frustrated Chicago Cubs fan and watches the local excuse for college basketball – NC State, Carolina and Duke.
In his spare time, contestant two also cooks, bakes, and dreams of brewing his own India Pale Ales to taste, maybe a healthy barley wine. Until such a time he busies himself consuming as much of said beverage as decently acceptable.
NCBlue!! Nice!! I’m watching the hearings now!
I’m a die hard Cubs fan too!!
Jason, I meant the article could help me in formulating ideas for my emails to Senators urging them not to confirm Alito.
“…die hard Cubs fan…”
Great, now tell me how to get this @#!&^ Oracle database set up properly! It took me only four days to set up the new SQL Server Express 2005 due to undocumented bugs. I hate being on the bleeding edge.
Now where was I. Oh, yeah, a beer for lunch…
isi: Got it, and thanks for posting the other article…
good post…
I have no idea about that NC. I do know that the Cubs have the best bumb armed pitchers in the league though..
Chuck Grassely makes me ashamed to be an Iowan…(from Iowa)
He freakin’ sounds like Orrin Hatch!

How the US Press Squelches Bush Impeachment Drive
By DAVE LINDORFF
Rome.
There are now eight members of Congress who have put their names to a bill calling for a special committee of the House to investigate impeachable crimes by the Bush administration. To date, all of them are Democrats.
So far, you’d be hard-pressed to know about any of this–including the very fact that Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.), the ranking minority member of the House Judiciary Committee, had even submitted such a bill–as well as two companion bills calling for censure of both Bush and Cheney for abuse of power.
Apparently in the editorial cloisters of our official Fourth Estate, where decisions as to what it is safe or appropriate for us in the public to know, it has been determined that we do not need to know that the notion of impeachment of the president is starting to grow.
Most of the major corporate media have yet to let the public know that several respected polls have shown a majority of Americans to favor impeachment if Bush lied about the reasons for going to war against Iraq, which if combined with polls showing that two-thirds of Americans or more think he did lie about those reasons, tells you all you need to know about the public attitude on impeachment.
The same paternalistic and pro-administration mindset was at work when the editor and publisher of the New York Times decided a year ago to squelch for a year a story they had about the NSA warrantless spying program. They felt that we the people didn’t need to know about that story in a presidential election year, even if the target of that spying may well have been the administration’s electoral opponents, just as it was in the 1972 Watergate spying scandal. . .

What happened today? I just turned on the raadioo; Franken is not talking about Alito.
Goddamn Franken supports the war in Afghanistan. He is not alone, of course. Lots of liberals supported going in. How many of you liberals out there supported the US invasion of Afghanistan? How many of you were aware of alternatives to the invasion?
:fire::sheep::sheep::sheep:
Stampede :sheep:le. Wipe out the Bush Regime.
:sheep::sheep::sheep::sheep::sheep::sheep::omg:

“No one is paying attention.”
Randi Rhodes
:sheep: We are in trouble.
Sam Seder is live tonight from Washington DC to cover the Alito hearings. In the second hour Ralph Neas, People for the American Way will take calls.
Don’t blame AAR for the public snooze fest over Alito. It is the MSM that is doing the cool out job. They do not want to rock the boat. (Give your own reasons.) Alito will keep the forces of “disruption” in place.
Anybody catch Alito’s remarks about why he joined those awful clubs at Princeton? He is playing to the Backlash sentiment (of which Thomas Frank writes about so well).
This Alito “Don’t give a fuck” freeze-out reminds us of the work we must do to change the political environment.
(Sitting behind a computer and ranting DOES NOT CUT IT!:omg:)
That’s right. Sam is up on this Alito circus.
Did you hear the AAR ad for the ABC television show (Geena as President) that is the rival of Janeane’s show?:rofl2:
NCBlue, I don’t have a good recipe for IPA but if you ever want a really good porter, let me know.
I’m curious…are there any plans to invade Iran?
Impeach! Stampede! Organize! Democratize! :rant1:
(Not necessarily in that order.)
There is talk about an Iranian invasion. One plan calls for Israel to bomb Iranian nuclear facilities.
We need to impeach this bastard. Jail these neocons and their dominionist allies.:fire:
Franken mentioned on today’s show that “lots” of people on the left disagree with his position on Iraq. I guess we would be many of those people.
I also note that he doesn’t come across as hard-core as he did a year ago, so perhaps his position is evolving. Seeing the soldiers being hung out to dry when he was in Iraq recently may have something to do with that.
Quietgirl, thanks for the clarification on the annoyance bill.
Don’t join the Army, OR MARINES!
Revolt!
Gypsy This is an article I saw last week concerning a discussion Goss had with Turkey about using their air space for a military incursion into IRAN.
You’d think the fact Porter Goss, head broom sweeper at the CIA, recently told the Turkish government the United States plans to attack Iran and Syria would be headline splashing news in the New York Times and the Washington Post. But although the news was carried in the Turkish press, it elicited hardly a murmur here in America, with the exception of United Press International and Reuters. As for the latter, only Goss’ meeting with Turkish officials on the “separatist terrorist organization” known as the Kurdistan Workers Party was mentioned and nothing about the impending attack, while the UPI mentioned it in the fourth paragraph, stating: “Goss said that Iran sees Turkey as an enemy and will ‘export its regime,’ warning Ankara to be ready for a possible U.S. aerial operation against Iran and Syria.”

He needs something to get rid of the I word that’s floating around. Hopefully Putin will wait until congress is back in session to do his urban renewal trick in DC.
Turkey denied this happened but you never know
Join the Grunt Navy! What a joke. A tragic one.
Somehow I don’t see Israel bombing Iranian nuclear facilities. It’s not that I think the Israelis are such noble and upstanding folks. It’s that they’re are way too concerned with public appearances. They have to maintain the appearance of the oppressed rather than the oppressors. That few buy the act anymore is beside the point. They have to make it seem that people cry for them. I can imagine the Israelis doing a lot of things that would piss me off, but that’s not one of them.
OTOH, I’m sure they’d be happy to send agents into Iran to do it from on the ground…
Just MHO.
So am I the only one who thinks that Marc Maron’s new show will never see the light of day, or am I just depressed because 2006 is off to just a sucky start? 🙁
Recall that Turkey did not allow the US to invade from their border at the start of this war. Yes, Turkey is referred to in Planners’ circles as an aircraft carrier–or words to that effect. But they do not always play according to the script. (I can’t find an appropriate emoticon.)
Hope you are right about Israel. Turkey, Our other “strategic asset” in the region did not allow the 4th Infantry Division to stage on their border with Iraq, and so not invade.
Israel is so utterly dependent on the US in many ways, so perhaps they can be manipulated into doing the US’s dirty work. On the other hand, I do hope that Israel tells Bush to dive in a boiling pool of shit. Let him fly into Iran and drop bombs. He does have that Air National Guard training, you know.:rofl2:
Not to gloat, but blogging on AAR is WWWWWWAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY DDDDDDDOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWNNNNNN
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess they shouldn’t have killed the program that jump-started their day.
Good Afternoon, Fellow BloggerInspirationalisti !!!
It has been down a long time. (I don’t know why.) Perhaps it is too much categorization of posts. Give me spontaneous, free-flowing blogs anyday.
Dream on, NickiRose. There will be no diving into boiling pools of shit, even metaphorically. But there will probably be some “ahem..well, ah, Mr. President, we feel our way will be better. Here’s what we have in mind…” and the end result will be similar.
I hope I’m right about Israel, too. I used to totally believe in the concept of Israel. Then I got a better idea of the reality of Israel and lost all respect for it. The idea was a good one. The inplementation of it sucks.

Pig Vomit’s Air America
I don’t like listening to Radio Marseilles, but I do it every day for you. Somebody has to document their treachery. It might as well be me. I can resist their reason-based rhetoric.
Still it isn’t easy to listen to the likes of Randi Rhodes and Sam Seder, but it became a whole lot better when they added Jerry Springer. Sure, Spinger’s as French as an Edith Piaf 78, but he’s the good kind of Frenchman, one who isn’t afraid to show the proper respect for Our Leader’s policies.
Springer might go on a 5 minute diatribe against torture or domestic spying, but as soon as a patriot calls in, he’s quick to note how reasonable such policies are. That’s the kind of opposition we can live with.
Yesterday, Randi Rhodes shared the secret behind Springer’s success. His show is produced by Kevin Metheny, the man immortalized by Paul Giamatti in the movie, Private Parts. Yes, Kevin Metheny is “Pig Vomit.”
I have to wonder if Mr. Metheny has a lot of influence at Radio Marseilles. Firing Liz Winstead and Marc Maron certainly sounds like the kind of smart business move the guy who fired Howard Stern from WNBC would make.

Reports to the General(Jesus’ General)
I am off to the AAP site.:sheep:
IRAN and China have just signed an agreement for Natural Gas and Putin is providing IRAN with technical help in their nuclear program. Putin even offered IRAN a deal where they could move their Uranium enrichment facilities into the southern part of Russia allowing Russia to monitor what was going on and protect it from the US. I think that if Bush or Israel tried to bomb the Iranian facilities it would produce another October 1962 and Putin doesn’t blink very well.
Israel: Don’t be so pessimistic. Israel is still a work in progress. I hold that it can be transformed into a shining example of a Democracy. First, we will have to stop our government from using Israel as our regional wardog. This would stop, for instance, the empowement of people like Ariel Sharon.

What is this “Radio Marsellaise”? Is it a Flying Monkey euphemism for Air America Radio?
No wonder know one uses the AAP blog. It is not very user-friendly.
Got to go make coffee.:omg: Then it’s on to recording those tapes!:nixon:
Shalom!
Barish!
:peace:
Got to go drink coffee. Hopefully I’ll have a recipe this evening. Work, work, work, ya know…

So am I the only one who thinks that Marc Maron’s new show will never see the light of day, or am I just depressed because 2006 is off to just a sucky start?

You’re just depressed. Have a banana!
Something I want to share:
The Urgency of Parecon
By Jerry Fresia
I need not recite the Parecon (participatory economics) analysis; Znet readers can simply click on the links to the left for abundant references. But to make the point generally, what is important in my view is that Parecon provides the growing numbers of discontented Americans with something that is largely absent and urgently needed. It provides the language to understand what is going on, not just in terms of personalities and individuals, but also in terms of institutions. The difference is critical.
When we read the news about Iraq, for example, the language has to do with Bush, terrorism, deaths of innocents and combatants, the opinions of the pundits or members of government, levels of support among the populace and so on. The language and insights of a Parecon analysis would add to this mix such terms as class, property, markets, and participation. Such terms, and there are many others of course, provide an institutional understanding that helps to explain such things as larger economic interests, how just a tiny handful of people are able to make life and death decisions that impact millions and why adventures as Iraq ought to be expected. . .

Landry sponsors recall drive against Blanco
Louisiana politics must be something to observe if your Democratic senator sponsors a recall of your democratic governor.
PatriotBoy at jesus’ General absolutely mocks the right wing by acting as a super patriot. All this stuff about Radio Marseille is in the deep satire category.
Maron could easily get a character like that on his new show. It would be a combination of Lawton Smalls and G. Gordon Liddy or an Ollie North.
Chatty Cathy checking back in!:nixon:
I am an absolute AAR loyalist. I keep it on 1190 WPOJ. Such a loyalist that, even though one of my best friends is now the Evening News Director at KBOO, a Portland Public Radio Station, I keep it on the AAR dial..
I now wish that I had watched the Ster bio movie. Pig Vomit, huh? :rofl2:
When I saw that Howard himself was in the lead role, I lost interest. But on another day, I probably would have stayed glued to the tube. Love/Hate with Howard.
Speaking of whom: Howard has sure done a great job of promoting his new Sirius venture. My mother even knows who Howard Stern is now. “Are you going to get Satellite Radio so you can listen to Howard Stern?”:omg:
In fact, I am a big Art Bell fan.:sheep::rofl2:
Listening to Sam, now.
Stampede that Benito Alito!
:omg::omg::omg::omg: :fire::fire::fire:
Dick Cheney strategy: Outrageous and boring.
Impeach the justices who selected that little ratmonkey president.
:omg::omg::omg::pent::peace::rabbi::sdavid::yinyang::jesus:
Have to go again! Later :sheep:le!:rofl2::omg:
Bork Benito (Alito)!
:fire:
Good evening chatty seditionists. :alc:
DC’s OK, I guess. Saw the presidential motorcade go by this morning, and it turns out our fearless leader was at the hotel I’m staying at. Didn’t get a chance to say hey.
More interestingly, I had some downtime and went to the national zoo, and saw the pandas, and a giraffe and elephants and lions and a zebra and a cheeta and mountain gorillas, and organutans and a hippo, and, well, I guess you get the idea. Very nice.
Another day and a half of boring crapola, and I can go home again. Night all.
PJ. You must work for Sam SEDER. He is in DC, too.
:fire::fire:Alito, :sheep:le!:omg::rofl2:
I’m the only one here (again). Night, now!
Circulate.:peace:
Checking in and checking out.
Good night :sheep::sheep::sheep:le,
I’m eager to hear from Marc.
