Well, my crazy next door neighbor is back in town and cutting the grass twice a day, so the weekend must be here. I almost – almost – went out and did something last night, since the IST Graduate Organization had its end of the year party last night, but then I decided I didn’t really feel like it. I thought about calling up a couple of my classmates to see if they were going, but some of them are foreign students, and I didn’t know how that would look on my “phone pattern.” I need to get a book on using smoke signals or something. I wonder if the Telcos – Verizon, in my case – realize that they appear to have violated the Stored Communications Act, which provides for legal fees and a minimum of $1,000 per violation. Let’s see, one grand times tens of millions of customers, that adds up to about eleventy million bazillion dollars, give or take. Good thing they’ll be able to screw everybody once net neutrality is officially scrapped.

29%!! How low can you go?
Good morning sheeple! :nixon:
Yeah, that 29 percent was incredible. Like some people came THIS far supporting Bush after all the things he screwed up suddenly said “ok, this is the last straw.” Weird.
Did anyone else watch The Office last night? The following bit of dialogue is Dwight, quoting Michael concerning his attitutde toward women. I found it funny, until I realized that it sounded like something Bush would say about the American public. Then it just sounded creepy.
We must DECEIVE them…
In order to NOT HURT them…
and in that way… we HONOR them!
Speaking of deception, full disclosure. I work for one of the TRAITOROUS phone companies that have been leaking your records to the Bushies since 9/11. I’m blogging on their PC right now.
So far there has been no corporate response concerning this treason. I haven’t decided what to do about it yet – the situation pisses me off incredibly, but it’s nice to get a paycheck, so I guess I’ll hang on to it for now until I can find something less objectionable. If that makes me a whore, so be it.
Coincidentally, I have a contribution to Russ Feingold’s campaign ready to drop into the mail. Sometimes shit just works out.

Why wouldn’t Franken discuss election reform? Do you think he doesn’t believe it’s a real issue?

susan, who did the 29 percent poll?
Harris Interactive did the poll. There was a link on http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com in a post as of yesterday, but the link leads to the Wall Street Journal and I don’t have a subscription.
Hey, where is this 29% thing coming from? Lowest number I’ve seen reported was 31%.

Didn’t I see where Washingtonians are discussing raising the national debt ceiling to over $10 trillion this year? He’ll discuss reform but he won’t discuss the Conyers Report, and won’t discuss the idea that the election in Ohio was stolen. And, he is dismissive of people that do. I thought he was going to come to blows with Mark Crispin Miller one time. There is a bit of elitism in his tone, also (like, I know it wasn’t stolen, you mentally deficient schmuck). He is sooooooo cautious in his remarks that I have to turn him off. Rarely listen. I don’t know how he would be as a Senator.
I saw Franken address the question at a talk/booksigning he did in Portland. He said that he had ha experts from MIT on his show who stated that while there were voting irregularities in Ohio, it wasn’t enough to tip the election to Kerry. There was no arrogance in his tone. When pressed, he defers to the experts.
Franken picks and chooses his experts. There are plenty of experts with a different opinion from the guy at MIT, he chooses not to give them air time.
What does Papantonio think of the Fidrakis and Wasserman stuff?

I’m pissed off at him, then. He used to be my second favorite AA person after Marc, because I generally consider him smart and does not go off like a crazy person. But you’re right in that there’s this really cautious (DLC dem thing?) and maybe elitism in his tone. I don’t know.
I’ll still take Al Franken over Randi Rhodes, for instance, if only for the fact I think he researches things more.

I haven’t heard enough Marc shows in the past month or so to know for certain. Marc doesn’t discuss as much politics as some of these others guys though, so if he didn’t I wouldn’t take it to mean he had no feelings on a certain issue. He’s a different kind of talk show person. It’s not strictly a political talk show, if you think about it.
People generally think you’re kidding (or nuts) when you suggest that there should be paper ballots, counted by humans – even if it takes a couple of days to count them.
A paper trail on the voting machines isn’t enough (what, I can’t make the damn thing print whatever I want it to). What needs to happen is, you vote and receipt comes out. You compare the receipt with how you thought you voted. If they match, cool, you drop it in a box. If not, you get a poll worker, they void the previous vote, and you go again. A recount is triggered whenever the exit polls differ from the machine results by more than a statistically significant percentage (not by how close the election was). Then they count by using the receipts.
Or, better yet, just use freakin’ paper ballots, use all the money you saved on computerized voting machines to buy pizza for the volunteers, and have people representing every side observe while the votes are counted. How tough is that?
I just think the issue should be talked about. Whether the voting machines are dependable or not; whether the election was “fair” or not – it should still be discussed. It’s still a major issue, and our whole system depends on what is going on here. If Franken for instance said he thought the Ohio voting was legit I wouldn’t be angry, that’s his viewpoint (if he presented it in an informed way, and he probably would) , I just want to hear it…at SOME point…being discussed.
:billcat:
Hey Kevin. Maybe you can bring down Verizon from the inside. :hubba: I’m really pissed too. I tried to contact Sprint and they have no mechanism to complain. All they have is a street address for corp, media relations, careers and investor relations. Obviously they don’t give a crap about their customers. Qwest has shitty service but at least they have respect for privacy.
Well, you can hear Brad Friedman talk about it with Marc (he’s posted the twelve-minute excerpt on his blog).
It’s not just the electronic machines, either. Here, we use the mechanical lever machines. It’s pretty much an act of faith to think your vote actually registers anywhere. I think I read somewhere that the mechanical machines are actually less accurate than any others (of course, the computerized ones are easier to rig).
Well, isn’t that special. I wonder how the question was phrased? I’ll bet it wsn’t “Do you think it’s acceptable for the government to collect information on every phone call a US citizen places?”
Or maybe, “Do you think it’s OK for the government to break the law as long as they justify it as part of the ‘war on terror’?”
Well, isnโt that special. I wonder how the question was phrased? Iโll bet it wsnโt โDo you think itโs acceptable for the government to collect information on every phone call a US citizen places?โ
Good point about how the question was phrased. Of course some people will just say it’s ok no matter what, sure, go head, do whatever youlike. Let’s face it, this government spent a lot of time and effort into making people scared of terrorism, and if that’s your #1 fear in the whole world, you’re going to look to be protected. Amazing how these people don’t know their history and how this kind of record collecting was going on in Nazi Germany and was a prequel to bigger and more evil things.
God, I hate these people.
Franken and Schultz are intended to make the people in the middle and leaning slightly to the left that are listening in the middle of the day while they are lounging around there pool waiting for their dividend checks to arrive appropriately amused so they don’t cash in their stocks and trade all their dollars for Euros.
I don’t think they are RNC plants but they are as much in denial as most of the center and slightly left is nationally..

Making (Non) Sense of the Funding Cut-Off
Hamas and Israel’s “Right to Exist”
By VIRGINIA TILLEY
To the great consternation of most of the world, the European Union, followed now by Norway and Canada, has halted payments to the Hamas-led government of the Palestinian Authority (PA). The stated reason is that Hamas has not recognized Israel’s “right to exist” or “renounced violence,” but the action so violates all common sense that its logic requires our closer scrutiny.
Let us first be clear: no conceivable good can come from this policy. It will slash the PA’s capacity to govern a shattered and desperate population. It will wreck the capacity of Hamas to mediate and contain tense factional divides. It could even demoralize and destroy the Palestinians’ long-standing commitment to democracy, ruining Palestinian political stability and therefore any possibility of peace negotiations. So why impose sanctions that can only result in dangerous disintegration of the political situation?
A certain withered diplomatic logic does underlie this measure. The PA itself was invented in 1995 to administer Oslo’s implicit two-state solution. Hamas’s refusal to recognize Israel’s “right to exist” would seem to negate the diplomatic agreement that established the terms of its own authority. Until it agrees to those terms, the international community might deem that Hamas has rendered the PA’s legitimacy uncertain.
Unfortunately for its proponents, this rationale has crashed on one glaring pitfall: the premise that Israel itself supports the terms of Oslo or the Road Map. Prime Minister Olmert has openly declared the “Road Map” a dead letter. His stated policy of “ingathering” settlers into the major West Bank settlement blocs is accepted by everyone as signaling Israel’s intent permanently to annex major portions of the West Bank. The advancing Wall and settlement construction are ample material evidence that this plan is Israel’s real program and is already half-achieved. No one disagrees that these developments signify permanent territorial dismemberment of any Palestinian “state.” No one disagrees that the terms of Oslo have vanished like the morning mist. . .

“[I]f Pelosi thinks she and her accommodationist minions–after all the abuse that has been heaped on them by Republicans since 2000–will be able to accomplish anything by cozying up to the president and his party, they are delusional.”
Why not just say, “what we’re looking to do is launch full, fair, and appropriate investingations into 9/11, NSA surveillance programs, and the reasons for invading Iraq, among other things. If the President hasn’t done anything illegal, then of course we wouldn’t move to impeach him.”
I pulled that passage from an article by legal writer Dave Lindorff. He is down with the whole thing.

Larry Johnson will be on with Randi at the bottom of the hour.
He’s been writing some interesting stuff about the CIA.
Pelosi is an idiot.. but so was her predecessor Mr. Dashell. The dems in the house seem to be afraid of offending some of that 30% of the electorate that maybe voted for the thugs in 2004. The idea should be to get the 30 something percent of the electorate who didn’t vote at all in 2004 to vote democratic this time not to try an attract as many rethugs to the dem point of view or worse yet distort the dem point of view for the benefit of the rethugs.. Pelosi may feel that they have it all wrapped up but the populace ( or enough of the populace) could always choose to vote with their 30-06’s. There was someone on Scultz/Marvin who was saying that the thugs are trying to make the Dems look weak. At some point someone will have to come to grips with why 911 happened and our foreign policy since about 1895..so we can begin to make friends with all the people we alienated during the Bush admin.
Well Gold actually went down $13 today but the DOW continued down too. If what Hartman says is true we should see the cost of imports ( spelled WalMart) rising as the dollar becomes worthless. PJ mentioned yesterday that the US stock market may level out or even go up as foreign investors buy worthless US companies to later ship them home for scrap.
Does this sound similar to current events?
In the early stages of WWII the US made a rather intense attempt to stay neutral. The people it seemed wanted to side with Britain and Western Europe but the politicians wanted to stay neutral so that their constituents (spelled Corporations) could sell stuff to both sides. Roosevelt was a royal pain in the side of congress because if we ticked off the Germans they knew all the corporations “stuff” would end up on the bottom of the Atlantic. To this day things that are exported are paid for when they are shipped not when they arrive.
Ewwwww.. Rhodes just said that the American Revolution was won by people like her. I always though it was won by joe citizen solder with a musket, powder and balls ( note dual meaning). We didn’t talk the British into leaving we cost them so much King George was about to go out of business.. I guess we should support the Iraqi resistance if we want to win this one..definitely about to put King George out of business again..
VIENNA, Austria – The U.N. atomic agency found traces of highly enriched uranium at an Iranian site linked to the countryโs defense ministry, diplomats said Friday, adding to concerns that Tehran was hiding activities aimed at making nuclear arms.
The diplomats, who demanded anonymity in exchange for revealing the confidential information, said the findings were preliminary and still had to be confirmed through other lab tests. But they said the density of enrichment appeared to be close to or above the level used to make nuclear warheads.
Still, they said, further analysis could show that the traces match others established to have come from abroad. The International Atomic Energy Agency determined earlier traces of weapons-grade uranium were imported on equipment from Pakistan that Iran bought on the black market during nearly two decades of clandestine activity discovered just over three years ago.

Rove Informs White House He Will Be Indicted
By Jason Leopold
t r u t h o u t | Report
Friday 12 May 2006
Karl Rove told President Bush and Chief of Staff Joshua Bolten, as well as a few other high level administration officials, within the last week that he will be indicted in the CIA leak case and will immediately resign his White House job when the special counsel publicly announces the charges against him, according to people knowledgeable about these discussions.
Details of Rove’s discussions with the president and Bolten have spread through the corridors of the White House where low-level staffers and senior officials were trying to determine how the indictment would impact an administration that has been mired in a number of high-profile political scandals for nearly a year, said a half-dozen White House aides and two senior officials who work at the Republican National Committee.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, sources confirmed Rove’s indictment is imminent. These individuals requested anonymity saying they were not authorized to speak publicly about Rove’s situation. A spokesman in the White House press office said they would not comment on “wildly speculative rumors.”
Rove’s attorney, Robert Luskin, did not return a call for comment Friday.

Last night I got this message from a girl musician:
“Hey, I’m from Bremerton, Washington [about an hour away from seattle] and I drum for The Extinct. We used to have a number of venues to play at locally; The Burrito Connection, Rush’s, The Tiki House.. The burrito connection isn’t having shows for a while because they lose money, Rush’s closed down, and the city closed the Tiki House.
“So, we made our own venue downtown. Sperry’s [our guitarist] parents bought a big place on 4th street and made it into an art gallery/coffee shop/music venue. We got loads of scraps together to build the stage by ourselves – the only things we had to buy were screws and the sheets to go on top. We’ve had about 3 shows there with no problems.
“Today Sperry’s dad got his business liscense taken away on claims that someone called complaining about a flyer that had “Fahk Yeah” on it, a band’s name. Is this not the biggest pile of bullshit ever?
“We’re left with tons of wasted energy, effort, money, and passion that was put into something they’re trying to shut down for illegitimate reasons. I have no idea where to start, and I probably sound just like every other advice message you get.. but seriously, where the hell do we start?”
And here is the message from a blog on the venue’s profile:
“SHUT DOWN……
“Thats the word i just got. The City of Bremerton just came into the Gallery and took away Patrick’s business liscense. They said that someone called in and complained about the flyer for the 19th, they said the complaint is because of the band names on the flyer (Legends on Heroin, and Fuhk Yeah) They took his liscense for the espresso and art gallery away….completely shut down his business. Michael Craze is the man behind all of this; i belive he is Bremertons buidling inspector. From day one he has not wanted ANY live music downtown, and made it very clear he would do whatever it took to keep us from playing shows. I want to have a meeting with the bands around town very soon and figure out what we can do. This is fucked up and i don’t plan on laying down like a bitch and taking it from them. WE MUST FIGHT BACK. I’ll be calling everyone soon. Sorry people.”

My first suggestion was they appeal the decision. I also thought they should contact writers for The Stranger and the Seattle Weekly. This morning it occured to me that they should go over this guy’s head, maybe to a council person. If only Newtopia Magazine was still around I’d write a feature article on censorship built around this.
So what do you all think? Any ideas?

Mishna Wolf! How Jewish is that?:omg:
What does Mishna mean?
The Hebrew verb ‘shanah’ literally means ‘to repeat [what one was
taught] and is used to mean ‘to learn’. The term ‘Mishna’ basically
means the entire body of Jewish religious law that was passed down and
developed before 200 CE, when it was finally redacted by Rabbi Yehudah
haNasi (Judah the Prince). He is usually simply referred to as
‘Rabbi’.
whoa lots of posts! craziness!

I don’t have a Hebrew name. My grandfather knew Yiddish and English only, and he named me
Hey Seanie!
My Yiddish name is Shayna, from the Yiddish “shone” similar to the German “shon” (two dots over the o). Meaning “pretty”
whoa, two hours went fast
Caller: It seems that, Professor Chomsky, you are merely a critic of society and you don’t have a definite program or political alternative or system that you are clearly advocating. In what you write and what you say you give only the barest and vaguest solutions. You talk vaguely of a social revolution or something of this nature, but you don’t say concretely what you believe in.
Another point I’d like to ask you about is the Pentagon budget, which is only about 6 percent of the GNP, and military procurement is only 2 percent or 3 percent of the GNP. If you think that exists to benefit high-tech industries, it seems like it would make more sense for the government to directly fund high-tech industries if they wanted to do that. Probably the public would be even more supportive of it, like they are in Japan. Number three: I’ve heard you criticize and criticize and go on and on about what you dislike about the United States’ political and economic system. Is there anything, anything that you have ever said, or could you say something now, about the U.S.political and economic system that you approve of, that you think is an achievement, a success? I like to hear if you can say anything positive about the politics and economics of this country.
Yeah, it did go by fast. I think I’m gonna go for a walk. I’ll check back in in a little while:bow:
Du bist eine schone madchen!
Did Chomsky answer his question?
You should know by now that I like to leave you dangling.:omg:
I”m going to watch that video again tomorrow
Chomsky: On the first point: You say I haven’t written about what I believe is an alternative. That’s just not true. I’ve written a lot about it. You probably haven’t read it, but then it’s not easily accessible. I’ve written quite a lot about what I think a libertarian society should look like and what it would mean to take the radical democratic ideals of the Enlightenment, for example, and translate them into a form in which they would apply to a modern industrial society. I could go on to describe it. I’ll be glad to give you references, but point number one is just not true.
Point number two: The figures about percentage of GNP are almost totally meaningless. The point is that the corporate managers in advanced industry — this is true of electronics, computers, pharmaceuticals, etc. — expect that the government, meaning the public, will pick up the costly parts of the production process, the parts that are not profitable — research and development. That’s got to be paid for by the public. Furthermore, the public, through the Pentagon, provides a state-guaranteed market, which is available for waste production if commercial markets don’t work. That is a gift to the corporate managers. It’s a cushion for planning. When something can be sold on the market, you sell it. If not, the public purchases it and destroys it. Furthermore, the public pays the cost while the corporation makes the profit. If you take a look at particular industries you can see how this works.
Take, say, the computer industry, the core of the modern industrial economy. I’m kind of smoothing the edges here, but the story is essentially accurate. You can put in tenth-order effect, if you like. In the 1950s, computers were not marketable, so the public paid 100 percent of the cost of research, development and production through the Pentagon. By the 1960s, they were beginning to be marketable in the commercial market, so the public participation declined to about 50 percent. The idea is that the public pays the costs, the corporations make the profits. Public subsidy, private profit; that’s what we call free enterprise. By the 1980s there were very substantial new expenditures required for advances in fifth-generation computers and new fancy parallel processing systems, etc. So the public’s share in the costs went up very substantially through Star Wars and the Pentagon, etc. That’s the way it works. Percentage of GNP doesn’t tell you anything relevant to this process.
As to why the government doesn’t just come to the population and play it the Japanese way, the answer is, in my view, and this has been the answer that business has given and I think they’re right, that the public here wouldn’t tolerate it. This is not a docile, submissive population like Japan. You can’t come to the population here and tell them : “Look, next year you’re going to cut back on your consumption by this amount so that IBM can make more profits and then maybe ten years from now your son or your daughter will get a job.” That wouldn’t wash. What you tell people here is: “The Russians are coming, so we better send up a lot of missiles into space and maybe out of that will come something useful for IBM and then maybe your son will get a job in ten years.” Those last parts you don’t bother saying.
That you do…mystery man ๐
I am listening to a Malloy repeat. Are the Young Turks on any time soon?
malloy! yay! ok i go sleep sleep!
Damnit…the first time I’m able to tune in at regular air time and I FALL ASLEEP and miss the whole damn thing after the intro! ๐ I just woke up! Grrrrrr. :fustrate:
going to have to try an alternate stream, the AA one isn’t working
aww, Gajinda, that happened to me all week…this is the first time I manage to actually hear the show for awhile
I’m getting an Al Franken rerun
First time in weeks I’m up late enough to listen, and the friggin’ stream from la la land kept cutting off, and I had to keep closing out, opening up an new browser page and getting to the listen link again and again to try to listen. Fuck AA/Clear Channel/FCC (let’s hear it for Eric Idle’s
“Fuck You Very Much the FCC, for teaching me that free speech just isn’t free…” (getting into the spirit of the discussion I saw on the other blog on Marc’s page).
I was listening in between Mike Malloy segments anyway, and now Marc is over, and I’m relishing Malloy cursing out Lahey. You go, Mike, curse ’em! How’d you all like mass child murderer Madame Albright on Colbert last night? He dissed the president (sic) excellently, but doesn’t say word one about her most infamous pronouncment, that the hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqi children were ‘worth it’ for the sanctions?? O Steven, why??
hmm, there was nothing sent in that last post, not even emoticons, Nicki…
Malloy is calling the war zionists out.
I tried to post a link for the connection I use to access Maron’s show. Failure!
huh malloy where? i dont here him calling out war zionists?
I can’t get the AA stream. I got an alternate stream from the Majority Report, but I can’t get Malloy.
Then you are not listening–or you are so propagandized that you cannot hear.
I finally caved and got Premium so I can listen whenever, but still it’s the principle!
ahhhh here he goes!
I am listening to KLTk\K.
Go to the March 17th show blog. There. someone posted a link to KTLK. Works like a charm.

Here’s a little number I wrote the other day while out duck hunting with a judge, QUACK
Fuck you very much the FCC
Fuck you very much for fining me
Five thousand bucks a fuck so I’m really out of luck
Thats more than Heidi Fliess was charging me.
So fuck you very much the FCC
For proving that free speech just isn’t free
Clear Channel’s a dear channel
so Howard Stern must go
Attorney General Ashcroft doesn’t like strong words and so
He’s charging twice as much as all the drugs for Rush Limbo
so Fuck you all so very much
So fuck you very much dear Mr. Bush
for heroically sitting on your tush
For Halliburton, Enron, all the companies who fail
Lets send them a clear signal and stick Martha straight in jail
She’s an uppity rich bitch, but at least she isn’t male
So fuck you all so very much
So fuck you dickhead Mr. Cheney too.
Fuck you and fuck everything you do.
Your pace maker must be fake
You haven’t got a heart
As far as I’m concerned your just a pasty faced old fart
And as for Condolezza she an intellectual tart
So fuck you all so very much
So fuck you very much the EPA
For giving all Alaska’s oil away
It really is a bummer
When I can’t fill my Hummer
The ozone a no go zone now that Arnold’s here to say
The nuclear winter games are going to take place in LA
So fuck you all so very much
So what the planet fails
Lets save the great white males
And fuck you all so very much
QUACK
I got it!
The feeling in my body it was so unreal.
Ten thousand volts of courage that’s all I could feel.
Horizontal lightning took me for a ride.
I couldn’t slow it down no matter how I tried.
It went out of control. I couldn’t steer the thing.
Over-dosed on power. My head started to ring.
We just picked up speed. I snapped my seatbelt on.
Around the world in seconds. Man it turned me on.
I’m a warrior. A warrior. I’m an electric warrior.
Interesting ditty, Ex NY person
yummmy
I don’t know why using a different link to get to the same radio stream would make a difference…but anyway, good late night to you all. The near full moonight is shining into my darkened bedroom, as I sit typing on keyboard on my lap, Samsara the cat soaking up moonlight on the carpet, CNN news starting the 1am hour…is the Malloy rebroadcast over now? ๐ That probably means Randi’s next:blech: So I guess I’ll try to fall asleep to music.
That ditty is Eric Idle’s FCC Song, so apropos, even though Ashcroft is superseded by Gonzales…
Wahooo, another hour of Mike Malloy -yes!!!
neat, I sensed a whiff of British humor in that
I like the piece they’re repeating right now, Malloy’s wife Kathy playing Verizon big brother operator giving instructions for how to turn yourself in if you weren’t a Bush voter…”Special loyalty gift free of charge”…”your expected hold time at Gitmo…ten years” Oooooh, yehhhh, woah, is that good. The aclu has a similar piece online about the surveillance state overseeing one’s pizza order…
“How do we get it back short of violence?” Power collected to this degree is NEVER willingly relinquished.
There’s nothing like a Malloy rant! ๐ฎ
Thereโs nothing like a Malloy rant
Indeed. Even for a socialist like me. I just emailed a comrade of mine that I am so in need of socialist talk radio, but that Malloy will do in the meantime. It’ll happen…:fist:
But he’ll always be dear to my heart for coining phrases like ‘cryptofacist death cult’
yeah, he coined a bunch of terms…I liked “Simple Scotty” (who is gone now, so we won’t hear that one much anymore)
this is fucking great!
http://buffalobeast.com/99/chiarelli2.htm
My oh my, Seanie, that was interesting. Did you see the Yes Men on Amy Goodman Friday morning? Got into a conference as Halliburton reps… Not much different from the craven whorishness The Beast staff encountered with the Ottawa mayor’s office…which profession is the one they call the oldest, again? I can’t seem to recall right now…:billcat:
Question: Why the “flying monkey” right? What is the ‘flying monkeys’ phrase in reference to?
Just jumping in here…
aren’t there flying monkeys in the Wizaed of Oz?
Morning / evening all. :yinyang:
arenโt there flying monkeys in the Wizaed of Oz?
Yes, I do remember that. But what’s that got to do with The Right?
Small correction: it’s The Flying Monkey Right, monkey singular. Still don’t understand where the flying monkey comes from.
I wouldn’t invite either in my house?
They both have design flaws?
The poop on those below them?
…
Ok, full moon is coming tomorrow night. Drive safe, Sean and all. Malloy’s over now, and it’s 2am, so I’ve really got to try to go to sleep, but such a radio addict I’ll probably bring the radio to bed and channel surf until I can’t stand the commercials anymore.
Hey, I just noticed this over at one of the forum pages at Malloy’s website, some new rules posted there:
Posts containing extremely profane language will be deleted and the member will receive a warning. A second violation will result in the immediate revocation of membership privileges*. If you canโt say it on the radio, donโt write it here.
That means that quite a few of our own posts here would get us kicked off the Malloy forum. Is a forum different from a blog? I should mention that there are some good rules about not spamming, no threats of physical harm or private email harrasment of fellow forum posters, no racist/homophobic/sexist, etc. posts. But what’s with the no seven dirty words there?
Aaaaagggh – WTF has Randi’s yeast infection got to do with the price of tea in China??? What??? Hey, I’m a woman too, but come on, Randi, how narcissistic do you have to be? Ok, I gotta sign off and start channel surfing on my radio. To bed, to sleep, perchance to dream…:yawn:
