Another day, another another poll, another new low for the war president. You’d have to think he’s hit bottom by now, but maybe Karl Rove will actually get indicted this week. I certainly hope so, at least for Truthout’s credibility, if nothing else. One thing I know for sure, though – this sleeping alone stuff really sucks. It’s gonna be a loooooong summer.
What! Me First???? How can that be??? I’m here just outside Toledo just burning up the last of my 2 hours of WiFi.
Minneapolis, here I come:billcat:
Have a good day, all!:priest::fist::knit::banana:
Well no news either good or bad this morning
No Rove indictment..
Riley for the first hour at least hasn’t ticked me off
We haven’t gone to war with IRAN
but
We are still at war with AQ ..err.. insergents… err ticked off Iraqi’s… err…our own CIA (?).. well someone in IRAQ.
Wake Up Seditionistas!! :nixon:
:joe: Hey, PJ. Look at your Trillian IM. Talk to ya later honey. ILY.
Sounds like Pennsytucky had their first experience with electronic voting yesterday..Didn’t work very well so that should insure it will be endorsed by the thugs
It’s the RAGIN’ Granny, man!:omg:Later:yawn:
I mean, I’d throw it down with you all but I’m too tired to think.:smack:
Is a RAGING Granny anything like an old Mothers Cookies Trucker ?? Do you have a penguin for a kid ??
How does the WIFI at the truck stops work.. Do you prepay it or something ??
WTF is Riley babbling about ??? Republicans represent about 20% of the electorate dems about 30% and the rest are confused err.. Independents. Having to use a dart board to pick your candidate to vote for is part of the problem. AND the thugs did not get 51% of the popular vote. When only 63% of the registered voters vote they only got about 31% of the vote.
I don’t get it. There’s a couple of hundred posts on the Marc blogs daily, and one or two on the Riley blog. How’s that show justifying itself? It’s feeling pretty stale to me already.
Are we curious anymore about what’s happening upstairs at AAR or just satisfied that the Maron show has gotten on air?
Good morning sheeple!
Did anyone else watch the News Hour on PBS last night? I had no idea Loretta Sanchez was so fine. :hubba:
did you all see the Daily show on the 15th? The Faux News montage was scary – every Faux anchor said better to be wire tapped than blown to pieces. It was scary for me because my neighbor had said that to me on Fri. and now I know where she got it….no wonder Americans are complacent. :tinfoil: It gets drilled in to them and they don’t even think about it. PLUS Stewart then showed the conservatives who said the letter to bushevik from Ahmadinejad could have been a letter from the Democrats. ARGH! What is happening to this country? :smack:
Being as centrist as Riley is he has to be distracting from AAR’s possible audience.. AAR must hire consultants from the DLC.
We have had some posts about AAR’s management concerning the possible loss of WLIB. Some Clear Channel exec is supposed to be taking control.
I find that most people I talk to don’t listen to anything in the way of the TV broadcast or cable news, or AAR . They might watch Democracy Now two days a week over the Internet and listen to the Channel 9 or 7 nightly news. to get the weather report.
The viewership of the cable news network’s is all like 5 to 8 million per night while shows like American idol get like 30 million viewers.
don’t think we’ll be “satisfied” until Marc rules the airwaves :fist:
pj wrote a good bit for wikipedia about us…. :fire:

So how is the room space heater/Intel MAC notebook coming along ??
Hi KK!
Fred. I’ve got an older powerbook G4 => won’t even cook an egg. Drat!
Who was it that was commenting about how warm their Intel dual processor notebook was keeping them ??.. Maybe it was all a dream.. ??????
you’re not dreaming, Fred, i linked to a Salon story about how hot the new macbook runs…..
My original G3 iMac gets so hot in the summer here, I’m surprised the edjected CDs aren’t warped.
Nice to ‘see’ you FK.
Damn, I missed Raging Granny.
Yeah, pj, I throw stuff at people and miss ’em all the time. I’m not a very good shot, really. 😉
Why were you trying to hit her, may I ask?
Ever since AAR went to Premium, I have not been able to blog there–with the exception of Maron’s show. What is the connection? Coercion?
Hell with blogging.
Good morning sheeple :joe:
About damn time you showed up. How was #5?
Rachel interviewing someone about how loud and oblivious (and arrogant) American travellers are…I honestly don’t know how anyone could travel and NOT want to find things out about other cultures. I’m ashamed of people in my country
NickiRose, I haven’t tried to blog there ib a while, but even after they went $ I could post (and I didn’t send them a dime).
Did you ever try creating a new name for the AAR site? (To Nicki) I had to do that once awhile back because for some reason the first didn’t “read” my password. The site itself is quirky. Give it a try. It’s not a premium member thing, because I’m not a premium member and it works for me now
Susan,
As an overseas American, I see the butthead travelers ALL the time.

I know. It gets me sick. I spent time in Mexico and China and I saw the same thing…and I didn’t want to be lumped with them 🙁
Ha Ha KK! :rofl2:
So, Replay missed part of the show, the end I think. Was there a problem with the stream?
Kristapea- Which day of the show?
re Anti-AAR, but because they are “progressives” who want to see AAR continue to be an important alternative to the conservative programs that dominate the AM airwaves. “Morning Seditionists” has become much more than a “fan” site, and is ripe with poltical talk and humor.
:omg:
Well, it looks like the Repugs are going after Conyers. 😡
Just got this email:
My wife once had to escort a group of rich Texans overseas when she worked for SwissAir (or maybe Lufthansa), and she said it was really, really embarassing. I think she spent the whole time explaining that Texas wasn’t actually part of the US.
My apologies to our friends and lurkers in Plano, Frisco, Austin, and elsewhere in Texas – it’s not you.
Karl Rove has identified me as the number one target of the Republican attack machine.
..a sign that he is being effective. He also rallies a lot of people in the blogosphere, that disturbs them too.

Well they’re scumbunnies (the phone companies). And my rates just went up for DSL. Just feel like ranting against somebody 😡
Ha! I tried to call in Springer; I can never get through.
I called in to C-Span once and talked to Brian Lamb about “No Child Left Behind” 🙂 🙂
It was a missile, Jerry. Ask Malloy.
I used to call in my college radio station, especially whempus security was on.
THE US is updating contingency plans for a non-nuclear strike to cripple Iran’s atomic weapon programme if international diplomacy fails, Pentagon sources have confirmed.
Strategists are understood to have presented two options for pinpoint strikes using B2 bombers flying directly from bases in Missouri, Guam in the Pacific and Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean.
RAF Fairford in Gloucester also has facilities for B2s but this has been ruled out because of the UK’s opposition to military action against Tehran.
The main plan calls for a rolling, five-day bombing campaign against 400 key targets in Iran, including 24 nuclear-related sites, 14 military airfields and radar installations, and Revolutionary Guard headquarters.
At least 75 targets in underground complexes would be attacked with waves of bunker-buster bombs.

Gonzales ‘not clear’ if kin legal
WASHINGTON – Attorney General Alberto Gonzales admitted yesterday it’s “just not clear” if his Mexican-immigrant grandparents settled in the U.S. legally.
The nation’s top cop – who is the first Hispanic attorney general – has become a pointman for the White House on divisive immigration reforms President Bush is pushing.
“Three of my grandparents were born in Mexico. They came to Texas,” Gonzales told CNN.
Pressed by Wolf Blitzer, Gonzales conceded he didn’t know if they sneaked across the border like millions of illegals at issue in the current debate.
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/wn_report/story/418428p-353410c.html
I gather there was no riot and revolution in Denver yesterday although I haven’t seen the Hispanic activists that work here yet today. Maybe the Jeffco sheriffs bus is running late..
The Center for Disease Control has issued a warning about a new virulent strain of a Sexually Transmitted Disease.
The disease is contracted through dangerous and high-risk behavior. The disease is called Gonorrhea Lectim and is pronounced “gonna re-elect him.”
Many victims contracted it in 2004, after having been screwed for four years.
Cognitive characteristics of individuals infected include: anti-social personality disorders, delusions of grandeur with messianic overtones, extreme cognitive dissonance, inability to incorporate new information, pronounced xenophobia and paranoia, inability to accept responsibility for one’s own actions, cowardice masked by misplaced bravado, uncontrolled facial smirking, ignorance of
geography and history, tendencies towards evangelical theocracy, and categorical all-or-nothing behavior.
Naturalists and epidemiologists are amazed at how this destructive disease originated only a few years ago from a bush found in Texas.
I have heard of that disease before.. Just before Nov 2003 it can be dangerous for world health.
Well, Bell South has been added to the class action lawsuit that already had ATT and Verizon, so maybe they can get something interesting out of discovery, at least. If your provider is one of these folks, you should definitely get on board.
Funny how CNN puts that in the “Politics” section, as if it was just a political thing. Seems like it ought to be in the “Law” section.
LOL, that’s great Krista
Hey everyone!
Another day, and at least its a nice day today.
I love my Scooba….what a great thing…the best present I ever got!!
So, Im washing the floors, as I do every other day lately…the water it picks up is just black, even after the housekeeper is here.

University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill stole the work of others, twisted facts to bolster his own theories and repeatedly violated the most basic standards of scholarly research, the committee assigned to investigate him wrote in a stinging report made public Tuesday.
One of the five committee members recommended Churchill be fired. Two said he should be suspended without pay for two years; the two others recommended a five- year suspension without pay.
The final decision will be left to Provost Susan Avery and arts-and- sciences Dean Todd Gleeson, and it is not expected until mid-June.

Paul McCartney and his wife separated….pretty sad, though I’ll be curious as to the settlement as hes got 1.5 bil and they have no prenup.
I dont know PJ…the initial wiretapping investigation was closed because the NSA wouldnt allow the information to be released. I think that the same thing will happen in any class action lawsuit about the phone companies…
Hey Melina…glad to hear that Will is feeling better. I think seeing the birdies is gonna cheer you up too  Going out for chores, I’ll be back a little bit later
Hey, Melina, glad Will’s better. Yeah, the DOJ gave up on their investigation rather rapidly when the NSA wouldn’t give them clearance. Of course, we all know who runs the DOJ. The judiciary branch has been somewhat miffed at being bypassed by all this stuff, so a lawsuit might fare better, but of course if it comes down to the Supreme Court, they’ve got this administration’s back.
Still, if they can keep everything out in the news (to the extent that the “news” deigns to cover it) for the next couple of years, and as more shit comes out (Tice is supposed to testify this week – haven’t heard anything more about it, but he says this is all just the tip of the iceberg). I think you really have to beat the public over the head with this shit to get them to pay attention – it’s finally starting to sink in.

All of those sad songs, and nobody mentioned Gilbert O’Sullivan’s “Alone Again (Naturally).” I mean, it starts out with saying he’s gonna throw himself off a tower, and gets more depressing from there.
The class action law suit against Verizon also went away when the admin said what they were doing was “classified” . I thought releasing records of any kind without a court order whether they were classified or not was a crime.
It looks like the USA Titanic lost another bulkhead the DOW is dropping like a rock this morning.
It hasn’t gone away – the administration filed a brief to that effect, but the suit is still active, and Bell South has been added to it. The EFF suit against ATT is still active as well (where a tech says the NSA installed equipment in secret rooms at AT&T offices in San Francisco, Seattle, San Jose, Los Angeles and San Diego). Right now, the fight is whether the tech’s documents should be unsealed or not.
Hey Melina, my recorder missed from 17 minutes(right after Lewis Black) til somewhere during Nancy Northrup. And then it clipped off the end from right after Jack Boulware. Don’t know the times after the first glitch because it starts over when the recording is picked up again. I had 2 separate files for last nights show.
Hope Will gets better soon.
Being a George aint easy these days.
I guess with George Bush falling through the floor other Republicans are going to drop. Was Pataki ever really popular, though? Yummy, Chinese food for lunch.
NY has been sick of Pataki for a while now – there was no way he’d have won another term, which is why he isn’t running again.
He was really an aberration anyway. Cuomo had just been in for too many terms, I think, and people were tired of him (it was the beginning of the trend toward replacing smart people with dimwits, culminating with our preznit – not that he actaully “won” either election, but it never should have been that close; if it hadn’t been for Gore stealing all those votes from Nader, things would have been different).
Still, he had presidential hopes at one point, and it’s nice to see him go down – he was Al D’Mato’s boy, afterall. When I was a CSEA rabblerouser, we dogged Pataki in a contact fight (he offered us a 0%-0%-0% three year “deal,” and for the first time ever, CSEA state workers rejected the contract – getting severely chided by the union mucks in Albany who “knew” best).
E-mail and the Internet were just getting to the point where nearly everyone had access, and we used both to track his appearances – which he tried to keep secret – and always get at least a few people (and somebody with a chicken suit) to dog him wherever he went. I put up a web page for our local (we were the first CSEA local to have one, and it was much better than the paltry one CSEA HQ had at the time; they came and got my advice on developing one. I was hoping the bastids would hire me to do it, but it wasn’t to be), and I had an e-mail form to set up to send Pataki e-mails. I heard that he got pretty perturbed by the tons of rather impolite e-mails it generated (you could choose a salutation for him; the most popular was “Dear Slobodan Patakovich – hey, it was during Kosovo).
I realize he’ll just go back to Peekskill to make millions of dollars, but it’s still good to see old mushmouth go.
“Replacing smart people with dimwits” Which is why Albany has the reputation it does these days 😛 Still…glad you were involved in trying to mess him up.
No, don’t send him to Peekskill, it’s too close to me 😛 Oh, alright, he lives there, sheesh. His wife would be upset without him I suppose 😮
hey uh this is interesting!
Town won’t let unmarried parents live together
BLACK JACK, Missouri (AP) — The City Council has rejected a measure allowing unmarried couples with multiple children to live together, and the mayor said those who fall into that category could soon face eviction.
Olivia Shelltrack and Fondrey Loving were denied an occupancy permit after moving into a home in this St. Louis suburb because they have three children and are not married.
The town’s Planning and Zoning Commission proposed a change in the law, but the measure was rejected Tuesday by the City Council in a 5-3 vote.
“I’m just shocked,” Shelltrack said. “I really thought this would all be over, and we could go on with our lives.”

Hartman just explained the reason the phone companies have denied they were aiding in the spying.. Bush apparently signed an executive order giving Negroponte control over the SEC so he suspended all laws regarding corporations reporting violations of the law.
Jeez…it figures
Like I said having left sided talk radio is like having the little kid that runs below decks to tell you what deck the water is up to today…while you are locked in steerage unable to do anything about it.. Then there is Franken, and Stephie Miller doing a comedy show as a distraction.
Think Progress had an item up about this earlier (guess Hartmann reads it – or Salon).
I’m not sure it would be better off not to know about this, would it?
Looks like conservatives have figured out neo-cons suck.
I wish there was some organizational activity to prepare at least to do something about it in the case it gets completely out of hand, The thugs would be a lot less likely to go over the edge if they knew there was a high probability of terminating themselves if they do.
Aren’t there any activist groups out there in Colorado? I mean, I don’t see progressive media as the activsits, but as the information source. It’s kind of up to individuals as to what action to take based on the information, but it’s important that the information gets out there. It would be better if the tradional media would do its job, too, but at least there are some places to get information from (until they do away with net neutrality, at least).
Well, it’s official, I’ll be staying in “Little Rome” this summer. They even gigged me over $250 in tax. I didn’t think the Catholics would make me pay tax, but render unto Caesar, I guess.
Maybe I can start going to church and confession again. Not sure I remember the Act of Contrition. Hell, I’d be luck to get through an “Our Father.” I always wondered, if he aren’t in heaven, where are he?
There are lots of UPJ groups but they typically get into arguments over whether they are going to use pink or eggshell construction paper for their signs and whether the police are going to let them march in the street or if they have to demonstrate on the sidewalk.. I think most would be the first to voice the idea that maybe if you let them take you to the camp they would not hurt you.. We have a couple of ex special forces officers that belong to our local group but we wonder if they are spies rather than activists. They did get rather ticked off when the police shot rubber bullets at us three years a go though.
PJ, I don’t know if you’ll be in the DC area in time to be a volunteer for this:
Bummer. But then, CO has kind of a red tinge to it, doesn’t it? How’s this Colorado Progressive Coalition group?
Just because Colorado elected democrats to the state legislature in 2004 does not mean that they are progressive in the liberal sense just not as obtuse as the the thugs are. The Colorado Progressive Coalition is a group of essentially lobbyists to keep the democrats reminded of what the word democrat is supposed to mean.
Krista- Ive got the whole show…can either cut it up later on and email (but you have to send me your email address again as I reloaded my OS and lost some…or sign on to AOL IM and let me know your handle there and Ill transfer the whole thing to you. Its very easy that way.
Does anyone have the code for the Firefox download button…as in to put on my blog so that I can refer people to get it. It seems that in IE my blog loses its sidebar but in Firefox it doesnt…this is a problem all around and I dont know how to change the coding yet. Im looking…but it could be due to a too large picture or some such. Im not gonna pull down each picture and then look to see if that was the one when it looks fine in Firefox.
Anyway, I want to tell people that these blog pages are better viewed in Firefox so I want to place a button in there somewhere.
Hey Melina, you can use one of these.
Looks like you have a bunch of unclosed unordered list tags – <ul> – starting under previous posts. It has the affect of pushing everything over, as if they were unordered lists nested inside another unordered list
Kinda like this:Never mind – WordPress won’t let me do it.
Thnaks PJ
really?
Im not seeing anything unclosed in the html…maybe its coming through in the pics..
I have to take Will to the Dr now but will look at it later on.
Thanks alot!
Yay! All my grades are in. Looks like I get to keep my scholarship. Those two goddamn A-‘s I got last semester (unfairly, I might add) are dragging me down, though.

Why are you talking about immigrants (in NYC) Randi. Didn’t you announce the trump card in how the feds will force illegals further underground? Huge fines for those who hire illegals. Discovery through unnaccountable FICA accounts.
Both bills are fucked, RR.:fu:
How about “Without You.”? Harry Nielsen by way of Badfinger. Very depressing, especially if you know the story behind that band. Good song though.
Actually, Dave Barry has beaten this kind of shtick to death. e.g. dumbest rock song lyrics: “A Horse with no name”, or “I’m so Glad.”

Update on the Rove Indictment Story
By Marc Ash
Wed May 17th, 2006
For the past few days, we have endured non-stop attacks on our credibility, and we have fought hard to defend our reputation. In addition, we have worked around the clock to provide additional information to our readership. People want to know more about this, and our job is to keep them informed. We take that responsibility seriously.
Here’s what we now know: I spoke personally yesterday with both Rove’s spokesman Mark Corallo and Rove’s attorney Robert Luskin. Both men categorically denied all key points of our recent reporting on this issue. Both said, “Rove is not a target,” “Rove did not inform the White House late last week that he would be indicted,” and “Rove has not been indicted.” Further, both Corallo and Luskin denied Leopold’s account of events at the offices of Patton Boggs, the law firm that represents Karl Rove. They specifically stated again that no such meeting ever occurred, that Fitzgerald was not there, that Rove was not there, and that a major meeting did not take place. Both men were unequivocal on that point.
We can now report, however, that we have additional, independent sources that refute those denials by Corallo and Luskin. While we had only our own sources to work with in the beginning, additional sources have now come forward and offered corroboration to us.
We have been contacted by at least three reporters from mainstream media – network level organizations – who shared with us off-the-record confirmation and moral support. When we asked why they were not going public with this information, in each case they expressed frustration with superiors who would not allow it.
http://forum.truthout.org/blog/story/2006/5/17/125248/099
They definitely need to get some more people in the studio and mic’ed. Just get a Pashman laugh loop running or something. What I think would be great is if they could get out and do some live shows around LA the way they did in NYC – even if they have to tape them live, it would be cool. The one show I managed to get to at O’Neils was really great – lots of energy and love in the place. Plus I got to see Jim’s Heather cluck like a chicken (not to mention Lawton Smalls, Ted from Nebraska, and the Milfman himself) right there in person – can’t beat that.
I sure hope the bastid goes down. Not just indicted, but really nailed on something. I don’t think he’ll flip – odds are he doesn’t have more on anybody else than they have on him. But, we’ll see.
Senate Approves 370 Mile Triple-Layer Border Fence
(AP) WASHINGTON The Senate voted to build 370 miles of triple-layered fencing along the Mexican border Wednesday and clashed over citizenship for millions of men and women who live in the United States illegally.
Amid increasingly emotional debate over election-year immigration legislation, senators voted 83-16 to add fencing and 500 miles of vehicle barriers along the southern border. It marked the first significant victory in two days for conservatives seeking to place their stamp on the contentious measure.

Anyone for opening a ladders and tunnels concession in lets say Warez ??
I am getting frustrated with Fitzgerald. It’s looking like he may wait until right before the Memorial Day Weekend to break the indictment news. If there is an indictment I don’t understand how they can get away with not filing the charges.
Did you all watch the pentagon video? The object that hit the building was really low to the ground. Maybe it was a cruise missile. Randi just said they never found any plane parts. Where is the plane if it didn’t fly into the pentagon?
I’ll bet that Ward Churchill can handle himself. This does sound like a political manuever, as fred notes.
I once knew a professor who knew Ward Churchill in the 1980s. He thought that Churchill was CIA. Cointelpro, of some sort.
Yeah, couldn’t see much on the video. My cousin’s kid is in the Army, and was stationed in DC at the time (as one of the tomb of the unknown soldier guards, in fact), and happened to see the plane fly over, very low, and heard it hit the Pentagon and saw the smoke before running over there to try and help. So, mostly I think it was a plane.
Punishing Free Speech
A Travesty of an “Investigation”
By WARD CHURCHILL
I have received the report of the Investigative Committee of the University of Colorado and consider it a travesty. This “investigation” has all along been a pretext to punish me for engaging constitutionally-protected speech and, more generally, to discredit the sorts of alternative historical perspective I represent.
There is blatant conflict of interest involved. Interim Chancellor DiStefano, who has consistently and publicly declared his bias against me, has served from the outset as both “complainant” and judge.
Despite my repeated requests for an investigation conducted by unbiased experts, the committee was composed primarily of CU insiders. Although both were available and willing to serve, the investigative panel included neither American Indian scholars nor persons competent in American Indian Studies.
To all appearances the committee was composed with an eye toward precluding the involvement of individuals knowledgeable in my discipline, as well as the context of indigenous history and belief that I have quite consistently brought to bear in my scholarship. . .
Compromise and Conquer?
Inside the Senate Immigration Bil
By LEE SUSTAR
As George W. Bush called for sending National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexico border, a split emerged in the immigrant rights movement over so-called compromise legislation in the Senate.
The deal–named for its chief negotiators, Sens. Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.) and Mel Martinez (R-Fla.)–has been sharply criticized among activists because it divides undocumented immigrants into three legal categories and includes a guest-worker program demanded by Corporate America.
Yet when Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist announced May 12 that the stalled legislation would be revived, several major immigrant organizations endorsed the bill, including the National Council of La Raza, the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC).
The National Immigration Forum (NIF)–whose top officers include the political director of the UNITE HERE union, Thomas Snyder–issued a statement which declared that the “Hagel-Martinez compromise includes the right architecture for real immigration reform.” The other main union on the NIF board, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), views Hagel-Martinez as “a step forward,” according to a union spokesperson. . .
Eye witness to a low-flying plane… Sounds like you have closure.
Hey! Do you know anybody who was in Dealey Plaza–near the Grassy Knoll–on November 22, 1963?
Are you kiddin’? My mother’s second cousin was Abraham Zapruder.
Wow! I knew there was a connection! So what is her take on the
Single Bullet Theory
?I am getting frustrated with Fitzgerald. It’s looking like he may wait until right before the Memorial Day Weekend to break the indictment news. If there is an indictment I don’t understand how they can get away with not filing the charges.
I’m not holding my breath…
Bush, the Immigration Bill,, and the Opposition Party
http://www.counterpunch.org/smith05162006.html
Hey PJ. Is that you who is talking to Randi Rhodes right now?
I’ll bet you take a lot of people’s breath away, though.
PJ, did you watch the video? Randi’s website has a copy.
After that revelation about Negroponte being assigned presidential powers to conceal the phone company involvement in the wire tapping Bush may make Rove top secret and immune from any prosecution.. I really don’t think our laws are going to apply to these guys until after the revolution or the war witch we lose.
Oswald was a patsy.
Yeah, I saw the video. Not much to see, really. Just something with a pointy nose coming in really fast and the place going “boom.”
LHO was a fine marksman. And that damned bullet…:omg:
Here is a picture of an American Airlines 757-223. The type of plane that supposedly crashed into the Pentagon.
WTF is all this about Oswald? :omg:
Oh, he was in on it. He just had help. That was a classified prototype of a remote guided bullet, capable of making 90 degree turns. They even got it to jump out on the stretcher, where it was collected by a CIA operative posing as an ambulance attendant.
I have never seen the results of flying a large jet plane into a four foot think concrete wall but planes are not really very stout and are certainly not constructed to withstand stopping from 500 mph in a couple of feet. The only thing I have seen that even comes close was that AMTRAK crash in the late 70’s where a metro liner behind a AEM7 electric locomotive hit two diesel electric locomotives at 125 mph. Locomotives are pretty hairy machines and nothing bigger than about two cubic feet was left of the AEM7 and one of the diesel locomotives. The impact made a crater 15 feet deep.
Was Oswald spotted on the Grassy Knoll?:omg:
Yes, he was seen being given a book suppository.
Well Randi the pentagon is not really there it is a holographic projection from the star ship Galactica. This is all a dream and isn’t really happening.. We are all holographic projections too and just have similar experiences that we think are reality…. Sounds about as good as most anything else does right now. :40::alc::doh::rant1:
Image of Pentagon after the attack.
The Randi Rhodes Show!:omg:
MLK: Noam Chomsky himself believes it is likely that the government was involved in Killing the Great MLK.
He takes, as far as I know, no position on either Kennedy assassination.
I shouted out: WHO KILLED THE KENNEDYS…:omg:
I detect someone on this blog who is as burnt out as I am on the JFK Assaassination.
The CIA did it.:omg:
it was you and me???? :omg:
I watched with glee
While your kings and queens
Fought for ten decades
For the gods they made
I shouted out,
Who killed the kennedys?
When after all
It was you and me
Let me please introduce myself
Im a man of wealth and taste
And I laid traps for troubadours
Who get killed before they reached bombay
Pleased to meet you…
It’s You and me, Baby!:omg:
I no longer give a :fu: about who killed JFK :eek::omg:
You heretic!
What’s your take on Ward Churchill being a CIA Agent (Provocateur)?
Well that’s healthy, I’d have to worry about you if you obsessesssesssed with it. Mention of “Sympathy for the Devil” is permitted, though 😉
Worry about me, Baby!:omg:
9/11. 9/11. Shut down all threatening political conversation with 9/11!:omg:
:!::nod::omg::tongue::spank:
What else is permitted?:rofl2:
Ward Churchill is more of a hippie living about 30 years out of phase. Most of his students think he is sincere and that the University is rigged by the same people as the rest of the system.
That turns me on.:omg: Wait a minute, that disgusts me.
.26 GPA! is that one A and four Fs?
Three Fs.
mmm hmm
Have you heard about the fed agent charge?
SmackDown, Baby!:omg:
This is the first time I have heard about Churchhill being a CIA agent.. :tinfoil:
just got the AA stream, they’re really talking about 9/11, sheesh.
The 757 is also not a jumbo jet like a 747 or a DC10 since it seats people either 3 x 3 or 2 x 3 just like a 737. It might hold 200 people because it is so long.. The only mystery I have is where did the engines go ?? They are made out of steel and titanium so they wouldn’t be likely to disintegrate on impact.
Word begets image

The Apollo Bookstore in Costa Mesa is slated to close sometime in June. For those of you that have been there, you know that it has been run by the same amazing couple for decades (with occasional help from yours truly [Jackee L]).The store has a huge selection of used books -they are piled in the aisles chest high. They have received so many donations over the years (and, as true books lover, they refuse to throw anything away) that they haven’t been able to catalog their books or keep them in order. Anyway, Mary Alice and Lesley are nearing 80 and can’t physically or economically afford to keep this longtime labor of love open. I highly suggest that everyone and anyone that is able to go in there go soon and spend an afternoon sifting through their stock (and bring or tell friends.) The store is located off of 17th St. in Costa Mesa, behind Mother’s, adjunct to the parking lot of High Time Liquor. There are treasures to be found, I assure you, and they would really appreciate all the business they could get at this time. Also, they will be having a few big sales, so be sure and give Mary Alice your name and number and she will be delighted to contact you when they get these scheduled. These independent stores are being forced out of business by chains and ebay, so please come down and show your support!

There They Go Again, but Where Do We Go?
As you may have read in a previous letter from me, prior to the May 2 Ohio Primary Election, the Cleveland Plain Dealer printed an editorial in which a Republican candidate for Congress described me as having “communist values” and in the same editorial the Plain Dealer went on to praise the same candidate, saying his “forthrightness was admirable.” Amazingly unaware of the implications of context, the Plain Dealer has reprinted the same red-baiting smear this past Sunday in an article which described me variously as “far left” … “One of the House’s most liberal members” … “by far the most liberal member of Ohio’s Congressional delegation.”
Your support has never been more important than it is now. Ohio’s largest daily newspaper, which has strongly supported President Bush and the war in Iraq, continues its outrageous campaign to smear me, to distort my record, and to try to defeat me for reelection.
Meet the Shock Troops of the Christian Youth
Battle Cry for Theocracy!
by Sunsara Taylor ; May 16, 2006
If you’ve been waiting until the Christian fascist movement started filling stadiums with young people and hyping them up to do battle in “God’s army” to get alarmed, wait no longer.
In recent weeks, Battle Cry, a Christian fundamentalist youth movement, has attracted more than 25,000 to mega-rally rock concerts in San Francisco and Detroit and this weekend they plan to fill Wachovia Stadium in Philadelphia.
They claim their religion and values are under attack but, amidst spectacular lightshows, hummers, Navy Seals, and military imagery on stage, it is Battle Cry that has declared war on everyone else! Their leader, Ron Luce, insists: “This is war. And Jesus invites us to get into the action, telling us that the violent–the ‘forceful’ ones–will lay hold of the kingdom.”
A glimpse at Battle Cry’s Honor Academy, which trains 500 youth each year and preaches that homosexuality and masturbation are sins, reveals a lot about what kind of society they are fighting for. Interns are forbidden to listen to secular music, watch R-rated movies or date. Men can’t use the internet unsupervised and the length of women’s skirts is regulated. The logic behind this, that men must be protected from the sin of sexual temptation, is what drives Islamic fundamentalists to shroud women in burkhas!
Behind their multi-million dollar operation that sends more than 5,000 missionaries to more than thirty-four countries each year, are some of the most powerful and extreme religious lunatics in the country. Their partners include Pat Robertson (who got a call from Karl Rove to discuss Alito before the nomination was made public), Ted Haggard (who brags that his concerns will be responded to by the White House within 24 hours), Jerry Falwell (who blamed September 11th on homosexuals, feminists, pagans, and abortionists), and others. Their events have been addressed by Barbara Bush (via video) as well as former President Gerry Ford. This weekend’s event will include Franklyn Graham who has ministered to George Bush and publicly proclaimed that Islam is an “evil religion.”

Thanks for your participation.:fu:
Patience, I”m eating dinner
No excuses offered any way.:jesus:Out!

:tinfoil: Dems at federal, Greens at local, while you still can…
Actually, it looks like they found plenty of pieces of flight 77 in the pentagon, including some engine parts. Here’s an example.
Battle Cry disgusts me. I want to go to Philly and find their hotel rooms and rig all the TV stations so that they show porn, and pipe “secular” music of the nassstiest kind into the rooms thru the vents. Yes, I have an agenda :alc:

Battle Cry
Marine Corps propaganda novel by Leon Uris.
Battle Cry (1955)
Directed by
Raoul Walsh

I will bet that DaVinci code novel was adapted to a terrific screenplay.
I’ll see it I think
Enough with the grassy knoll crap. The house of state is burning down, and this conspiracy idiocy is worse than a sideshow from the real crimes. [Although the thought of Ted Olsen’s wife being held in a storage shed at a hidden CIA location indefinitely has a certain appeal. Sorry to say this about the dead, but a nastier bitch there never was.]
What Randi doesn’t understand is that because something can’t be disproven doesn’t make it true, and eyewitness testimony is typically less than worthless. The phony expert “proof” must be left over from the last Erik Von Danniken book. I vote with the conservative caller today who mocked her.
GOP Official Faces Sentence in Phone-Jamming
In October 2002, Charles McGee, executive director of the New Hampshire Republican Party, was mailed a Democratic flier that offered Election Day rides to the polls. The circular listed telephone numbers of party offices in five cities and towns.
“I paused and thought to myself, I might find out — I might think of an idea of disrupting those operations,” McGee later testified. A Marine Corps veteran, McGee approached the situation like a combat operation: “Eventually the idea coalesced into disrupting their phone lines . . . [it’s] military common sense that if you can’t communicate, you can’t plan and organize.”

Court Deals AT&T a Setback
Thanks PJ for the pictures inside the Pentagon of the plan wreckage.
Majority Report had David Serota on reviewing his book.. Like a lot of the savours of the left he is is in fantisy world if he thinks we can take 30 more years to rebuild the political system so the corportists are driven out and the the voter once again has some say. I’m sure Nicki will chime in that the voter really never has had any say but at one time these laws the thugs are so blatantly violating were passed by a congress.
Blog Out!:omg:

Congress may make ISPs snoop on you

They want my phone records, my internet records, when are they going to require cameras placed in my apartment?
You could probably charge a subscription fee for that. :hubba:

So PJ…how do I close those UL’s? Do I do it after each line in the template or go into each post’s html and close it there? And would the closure be at the actual end of the post or the end of the title line?
Thanks so much for looking at that. How did you get that code without a password…is it just available?
It’s probably screwed up in the template. Just look for where that set of links is set up in the template, and close the ul tag. Hard to explain better w/o looking at the template.
The code is just from viewing the source of the page. Anybody can see that (‘cuz otherwise your browser wouldn’t be able to render the page).
