Well, back in DC, a week after I left, and, barring any catastrophes, no more trips back home until this shit is finally over with. Whoopie. At the risk of being called a baby, this sucks. Oh well, only 30 more days to go. That’s about 4 1/2 weeks, 4 more weekends, and 22 working days (not that I’m counting or anything).
I just don’t know what to say about the Marc Show. We waited so long for it, and suffered through the Clippers and every other goddamn thing, and we’d hoped for syndication, and now this.
I didn’t stay up to listen to Marc last night, of course, so I don’t know if there was any more news. I reckon I ought to go over to his blog and see what came up (unless somebody here would like to save me the trouble; I find the AAR blogs difficult to read for some reason – not enough smilies, I guess – and apparently if you go over there and deign to say that you don’t think Eddie Pepitone’s yelling schtick isn’t all that funny, you get accused of being an intolerant neocon or something).
I feel very bad about this shit. I feel bad for Marc and Jim, and everybody else involved with the show. Why do stupid people get to decide how things work? It jus aint right.
Anyhow, have a happy Thursday.
Election Ballots found in trash dump in Veracruz
Members of the Democratic Revolution Party (PRD) discoverd in Xalapa, the capital of Veracruz, election ballots thrown in the trash dump, this was attested and witnessed by a public notary and notification given to the proper authorities.
In a press conference, the PRD’s Chair for the state of Veracruz, Frank Rogelio Castán, confirmed that this incident is evidence of electoral fraud in Veracruz to impede the election of Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador to the Presidency of the Republic.
Here is the earlier story mentioned at the top of this post:
The ballots from three precincts in the city of Nezahuacoyotl – a López Obrador stronghold – were discovered yesterday in the municipal garbage dump. The results from two of those precincts have been missing, since Sunday, from IFE’s vote tallies. An IFE official, ambushed by television reporters, exacerbated the crime yesterday when she blamed the Mexican military: the Armed Forces, not IFE, are supposedly guarding the ballots, she said, in defense of her bureaucracy. This, sources close to the military told Narco News, produced significant anger among the military generals and troops who – if the public does not believe or accept IFE’s final decision – will be called upon to quell the national rebellion that follows.

North Korean missile test to go unpunished after UN split
CHINA and Russia moved yesterday to block attempts to impose UN sanctions on North Korea as the reclusive communist nation fired a seventh ballistic missile.
Britain and the US backed the Japanese call for a mandatory Security Council resolution demanding a halt to testing as well as sanctions on funding, parts and technology for Pyongyang’s missile programme. The three countries’ ambassadors also appeared shoulder-to-shoulder outside the council chamber to send a united message.
“We hope the response of the Security Council will be swift, strong and resolute,” Kenzo Oshima, the Japanese representative to the UN, said.

Two views of world wealth
According to the 10th annual World Wealth Report, the ranks of the planet’s millionaires swelled by more than a half-million last year, to nearly 9 million worldwide.
Despite what you hear about oil-rich Arab billionaires, North America remains Earth’s wealthiest region, with 2.9 million millionaires, with a combined wealth of $10.2 trillion.
Great, huh. For the millionaires perhaps. But there is another side to the world wealth story.
While the number of millionaires increased by more than 500,000 last year, the number of people living in poverty in the United States alone increased by more than double that figure.
The poverty census for the rest of the world is even more appalling. There are an estimated 50,000 deaths each day due to poverty-related causes. That’s 270 million people since 1990, the majority of them women and children.

HOUSTON, July 5 — In yet another bizarre twist to the Enron saga, the sudden death of Kenneth L. Lay on Wednesday may have spared his survivors financial ruin. Mr. Lay’s death effectively voids the guilty verdict against him, temporarily thwarting the federal government’s efforts to seize his remaining real estate and financial assets, legal experts say.

There is a possibility that North Korea will fire additional missiles,” Yonhap news agency quoted Yoon Kwang-ung as telling lawmakers.
The missiles are either short- or medium-range, reported Chosun Ilbo, one of South Korea’s largest newspapers. It cited an unidentified senior South Korean official. Another major newspaper, JoongAng Ilbo, carried a similar report.
The North has also barred people from sailing into some areas off the coast until July 11 in a possible sign of preparations for additional launches, Chosun Ilbo said.
Additionally, a North Korean envoy to the UN has reportedly threatened “all-out countermeasures” if other nations impose sanctions over its test-launch of several missiles.
Japanese broadcaster TBS reports the deputy chief of North Korea’s UN mission in New York says the missile launches were part of a regular military drill.
North Korea test-fired seven missiles on Wednesday, triggering international condemnation. The missiles apparently fell into the sea without causing damage or injuries

CHAPPAQUA — Some 130 protesters chanted, sang and carried signs calling for an end to the war in Iraq yesterday as they marched through the streets of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s home community.
“We wanted to do something patriotic on Independence Day, and there’s nothing more patriotic than exercising our First Amendment rights to protest government policies with which we disapprove,” said Dr. Arthur Grant, 45, who was out with his wife, Dr. Roxan Saidi, a native of Iran, and their 4-year-old son, Cameron.
The rally was organized by the Westchester People’s Action Coalition Foundation; Code Pink, a women’s anti-war organization; No War Westchester, which is affiliated with WESPAC; and Consumers for Peace.
Organizers chose Chappaqua to highlight Clinton’s positions, including her objecting to setting a deadline for troop withdrawal. One sign read “Hillary: Stop supporting Bush’s war.”
“Many people believe that Hillary is against the war, and that’s not the case,” said Susan Friedman, a regional coordinator for Code Pink.
“She is not a friend of the peace movement,” Friedman added.
Ossining resident Donna Barkman, 72, said she campaigned for Clinton when she ran for Senate in 2000, but that since then, “I have found her to be very disappointing in her move toward the right on so many issues.”
Representatives for two Senate candidates who oppose the war — Jonathan Tasini, who is trying to force a Democratic primary against Clinton, and Green Party candidate Howie Hawkins — took part in the protest and handed out literature.
Clinton spokeswoman Nina Blackwell did not return calls Monday or yesterday.
Protesters carried signs that said “Impeach Bush,” “Enough is Enough” and “Bring U.S. Troops Home Now.”
Some wore pink shirts, pink earrings, even a pink Yankees visor, to show solidarity with Code Pink. Mahopac resident Gordon Russell beat a drum accompanied by Todd Eaton on a cowbell, setting the pace for the ralliers, who called out, “Bush lies, thousands die,” “No more killing in my name!” and other slogans. Turning onto Castle Road, they sang, “All we are saying is give peace a chance.”
Walking through downtown and residential streets that were quiet with the Fourth of July holiday, they faced mixed greetings. Two men by one business gave them the thumbs-down sign.
“I believe that we must support the current administration and fight terror and promote democracy around the world,” said Roy Singer. “If we do not do so, we will have to fight it here.”
On Orchard Ridge Road, resident Jonnie Hodgson emerged from her home to show support and became emotional when she saw protesters bearing mock cardboard coffins draped in American flags.
“Anything that can bring attention to this wretched situation that Bush has gotten us into,” she said. When she saw the coffins, she said, “Oh, God, I can’t stand this,” but she kept her thumbs-up sign out for the passing protesters.
Some motorists passing by honked and waved or cheered their support for the cause. Others objected. One complained that they were protesting on Independence Day. Another said they should be supporting the troops.
“Make them come home,” Friedman said, as the car drove away. “They’ll feel better. They won’t get killed.”
Friedman, Nada Khader, executive director of the WESPAC Foundation, and others said they were fasting for the day in support of Code Pink’s co-founder Medea Benjamin and others who the organization said had launched an ongoing fast.
The protesters regrouped at King Street and North Greeley Avenue, where they called out anti-war slogans to passers-by.

Does any Mac person know how to add/remove programs from a Mac? Will was up late last night and he noticed that somehow some sex sites got onto the desktop. Its happened on the PC before through the realplayer or something…but having to do with thise sites that he goes to such as FunnyStuff …
Anyway, it was the same little videos of women peeing etc, which he says he didnt lookat but he was distrubed enough to wake me up and get me to try to remove them in my sleep. The he couldnt sleep because he was worried about them hurting the computer and he wanted them off.
I thought that maybe he downloaded them by accident being curious, but it seems that they appeared. There was also the annoying kid who I took to the origami convention who managed to download all of his music from his ipod all over the desktop. I still am trying to figure how to get those off.
Why am I finding the mac so difficult? The Mac store is opening in my local Mall next month or something…thank god!
As soon as he is out of this school Im gonna sell this thing and get him a PC!

Hey Melina, I believe that with a Mac, you just delete the folder the program is in. They don’t install themselves all over the place and use dlls and registry entries and all that crap. One of the true advantages to Macs. Of course, you should probably check that out with somebody who actually knows something.
Melina,
If the files are just sitting there on the desktop you can drag them into the trash and then empty the trash. If you have OS X go under Finder>Secure Empty Trash just to make sure they’re completely gone from your hard drive.
Hold Israel accountable for its murderous actions
The “Last Taboo” was the title of eminent Palestinian-born writer, scholar and activist Edward Said’s essay written shortly before his death in September, 2003. It was also the title of distinguished author and documentary filmmaker John Pilger’s chapter about Palestine in his important new book Freedom Next Time that’s reviewed and can be read at sjlendman.blogspot.com. Said explained his title in what he wrote: “The extermination of the Native Americans can be admitted, the morality of Hiroshima attacked, the national flag (of the US) publicly committed to flames. But the systematic continuity of Israel’s 52-year oppression and maltreatment of the Palestinians is virtually unmentionable, a narrative that has no permission to appear.” It appeared boldly and courageously in Pilger’s book, and it’s long past time for it be prominent in the mainstream as well to finally expose Israeli crimes and demand they end. It’s especially important now as Israel just began an intensive military assault against the defenseless people of Gaza, which, before it ends, may result in many deaths, great destruction of property and an overwhelming humanitarian disaster even beyond the one already existing in The Occupied Territories.
Oh, and macs don’t get spyware and adware and malware, didn’t you know that? They are also flameproof, floodproof, impervious to heat and cold, and I believe you don’t even need electricity to run them.
07-06) 04:00 PDT Mexico City — The country’s presidential election took a surprising twist early today as left-of-center candidate Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador clung to a small but fast-shrinking margin of victory over conservative Felipe Calderon, who had appeared to have triumphed in the preliminary results after Sunday night’s balloting.
Shortly after midnight, with 94.09 percent of the vote counted, Lopez Obrador had 35.97 percent of the vote, trailed by Calderon with 35.24 percent

All you pretty much have to do is find where the program is located on your hard drive and drag the icon to the trash. At least that’s the way I’ve been doing it, and it’s worked. However, you must make sure there aren’t any related icons and you really disposed of everything associated with the program.

Calderon triumphs in Mexico recount
By JAY ROOT and KEVIN G. HALL
McClatchy Newspapers
MEXICO CITY – Mexico’s conservative presidential candidate Felipe Calderon eeked out a nail-biting victory over leftist rival Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador early Thursday morning in the official ballot recount.
Lopez Obrador had led the recount throughout Wednesday. But his steady 2 percentage point lead dwindled late in the evening and had disappeared early Thursday morning. With 99 percent of the ballots cast, Calderon was ahead by a margin of 0.33 of a percentage point, about 130,000 ballots.
Calderon declared victory. Lopez Obrador, who had left his campaign headquarters before the count was complete, scheduled a morning news conference to discuss his next move.
Wednesday’s official count – primarily a review of tally sheets prepared in local polling stations Sunday night, though some previously uncounted ballots were also tabulated – had shown Lopez Obrador in the lead from the beginning.

There seems to be a real political divide in Mexico between the North and the South, with the North being more conservative. It’s supposed to be a very stark difference. Cripes! Is anyone else having problems getting things to work the last couple of days? 😡 I have been extremely frustrated by ojects ranging from the computer to the hose nozzle. :jason: I’m not a big astrology buff or anything but I’m guessing Mercury is in retrograde again. Everytime it’s like this I find out that Mercury is in retrograde.
I guessed Mercury was going retro about a week before it actually went… mechanical things (esp. computers for some reason) just started breaking or giving problems, communications between people not as easy, things said often misunderstood, etc … I check it on http://www.zodiacal.com (2006 ephemeris) When a planet goes retro there’s a little “dot” next to it…
By the way, what’s with AAR’s stream. It went down during Rand’s show yesterday and still seems to be, as they say, “unavailable.” :growl: Boy, am I glad I didn’t give them money for Premium or to be an Associate (or whatever that little thing was called).
B@B’s link is very good also 🙂
I haven’t been able to get AAR’s stream from the AAR website for a couple of days now. I have I Tunes, and it has a list of radio stations, and i just happened to notice yesterday that it now lists “Air America.” And the stream does work from there, so I’ve been lucky. Meanwhile, listening to WLIB in the car on my way to work and trying not to count the days till it goes off the air for good…

He then points out the foreign auto makers are all up by some percent
========================
Most of the dorpuses at DU seem to see this as result of poor quality and not making cars that fit the American market place.. That may be some of the problem but ….
All the automakers see the US market collapsing because the baby boomers who have purchased their c* for the last 30 years begin retiring into utter poverty.
They then see China and India as potential markets with 10 times the number of consumers.
They spend billions on building new plants in India, China and Mexico.. to get them both closer to the new emerging economies and also to reduce labor costs.
The combination of these expenses and laundering their books make it look like they are going bankrupt which allows them to break American labor contracts and off load commitments made to retiring American workers.
Another contributing problem is the lie about the US unemployment rate.. If it is really 14 – 20 percent that might also be reflected in these poor sales numbers.
How may wealthy people do you know who buy Fords ??
One solution might well be to nationalize them and send their CEO’s to GTMO.

The Real Reason Behind Israel’s Excursion into Gaza
Jonathon Cook
The Alice Through the Looking Glass quality of Israeli disinformation over the combined siege and invasion of Gaza — and its widespread and credulous repetition by the Western media — is successfully distracting attention from Israel’s real goals in this one-sided war of attrition.
The current destruction of Gaza’s civilian and administrative infrastructure is reminiscent of the Israeli army’s cruel rampages through the streets of West Bank cities in the repeated invasions of 2002 and 2003, and the Jewish settlers’ malicious attacks on Palestinian farmers trying to collect their olive harvests.
The relative absence of these horror stories today is simply a reflection of the terrible success of the wall Israel has built across Palestinian farmland and around Palestinian population centres in the West Bank. Settlers no longer need to plunder the olive harvest when the fruit is being left to rot on the trees because farmers can no longer reach their groves.

I finally turned that fucking Ed Schultz off and am streaming AAR. Have not had a problem streaming AAR.
Does anyone know why Marc’s KTLK show is going off of the air? The bump in streamers when the show comes on….Hey. When I go to LA, I will buy from Rock Honda, just like Stephanie demands.
Obrador rejects recount
The leftist leader alleges voting irregularities as results show conservative Calderón with slim lead in Mexican elections
MEXICO CITY – Leftist leader Andrés Manuel López Obrador refused to concede defeat Thursday in Mexico’s closest-ever presidential race, after an official recount showed conservative candidate Felipe Calderón ahead by less than half a percentage point.
Alleging irregularities in the electoral process, Mr. Obrador promised to bring claims to a special electoral court and urged supporters to join him in the streets Saturday for a protest in the Zocalo, Mexico City’s main square – raising the fear of violence in an already polarized nation with two distinct visions for the future.

Olympia, WA. Community Rallies Against NAZI Group
by Peter Bohmer; July 06, 2006
Olympia, WA–On Monday, July 3rd 2006 in Olympia, more than 600 concerned community members from Olympia and the surrounding Puget Sound region rallied to oppose the presence of a neo-Nazi group called the National Socialist Movement (NSM).
Our rally began at 1:30 p.m. at the Washington State Capital, campus, near the steps of the Legislative Building and concluded a little before 4:00 p.m., when the NSM left. The NSM had only 13 members for their rally although they invited their members and other white supremacists from California and the Northwest to join them. Their main speaker was Sean Stuart, a member of the NSM, running for the Montana State Legislature as a Republican. A waste of taxpayers money and unnecessary were the 150 state police who guarded them and the fence the police put up to separate the NSM from our peaceful rally. This is the fourth time these neo-Nazis have targeted Olympia and their small turnout shows their utter failure to recruit new members and to mobilize other racists. Hopefully, this is the last time they come here.
We turned our backs on them and turned their rally of hate for Blacks, Jews and immigrants into one for justice, diversity and equality. Anti-racist clowns attended, making fun of the neo-Nazis. The Olympia Movement for Justice and Peace, a long-time justice and anti-war group, played a central role in spearheading the organizing necessary for our rally. Other organizations and individuals joined us in seizing this opportunity to demonstrate, with a fundamental goal of building a sustainable and ongoing movement working for racial, economic, and social justice. We challenged and will continue to challenge the Nazis and all forms of racism and inequality, whether it comes from inside our community, from the corporations or from the White House.
Maybe Shultz is an investor in Talkers Magazine ..:gate::omg:
His discussion of blowing NK off the face of the earth got him no where .. No one called in..:jason:
No, I don’t think anyone has said the reason why Mar’s show is being killed. It hasn’t been on long enough to know if the numbers in LA are really low, I don’t think. Maybe one book has come out, but that’d be about it. No time to build an audience, with the show being pre-empted all the time anyway.
They never even tried to syndicate it, as far as I can tell. We know at least Phoenix was interested. It just sucks, IMHO, and no time to really even try to do anything about it (not that that worked out so well last time, but we gave ’em hell for a while, anyway).
This is on Marc’s blog today. Too funny.
Latest Poll
WASHINGTON, May 11 – President Bush appears to be losing support among a key
group of voters who had hitherto stood firmly with the president even as his
poll numbers among other groups fell dramatically.
A new Gallup poll shows that, for the first time, Bush’s approval rating
has fallen below 50% among total fucking morons, and now stands at 44%. This
represents a dramatic drop compared to a poll taken just last December, when 62% of total fucking morons expressed support for the president and his policies.
The current poll, conducted by phone with 1,409 total fucking morons between May 4 and May 8, reveals that only 44% of those polled believe the president is doing a good job, while 27% believe he is doing a poor job and 29% don’t understand the question.
The December poll, conducted by phone with 1,530 total fucking morons, showed 62% approved of the president, 7% disapproved and 31% didn’t understand the question.
Faltering approval ratings for the president among a group once thought to be a reliable source of loyal support gives Republicans one more reason to be nervous about the upcoming mid-term elections.
“If we can’t depend on the support of total fucking morons,” says Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA), “then we’ve got a big problem. They’re a key factor in our electoral strategy, and an important part of today’s Republican coalition.”
“We’ve taken the total fucking moron vote for granted,” says Rep. Tom Feeney (R-FL), “and now we’re paying for it. We’ve let the Democrats control the debate lately, and they’ve dragged discourse back into the realm of complex, nuanced
issues. So your average total fucking moron turns on his TV and sees his Republican Congressman arguing about Constituti onal law or the complexities of state formation in the Middle East, and he tunes out. He wants to hear
comforting, pandering, flattering bromides and he doesn’t want to hear a logical argument more complex than what you’d find on a bumper sticker.”
For Feeney, the poll is a dire warning that Republicans can ignore only at their peril. “This should send a signal that we have to regain control of the debate if we want the support of our key constituencies in the coming election and
beyond. We need to bring public discourse back into the realm of stupidity and vacuity. We should be talking about homosexual illegal immigrants burning flags. We should be talking about the power of pride. We should be talking about
freedom fries. These are the issues that resonate with total fucking morons.”
But some total fucking morons say it’s too late. Bill Snarpel of Enid, Oklahoma is a total fucking moron who voted for Bush in both 2000 and 2004. But he says he won’t be voting for Bush in 2008.
“I don’t like it that he was going to sell our ports to the Arabs. If the Arabs own the ports then that means they’ll let all the Arabs in and then we’ll all be riding camels and wearing towels on our heads. I don’t want my children singing
the Star Spangled Banner in Muslim.”
Total fucking moron Kurt Meyer of Turlock, California also says his once solid support for Bush has collapsed. “He invaded Iraq and all those soldiers died, and for what? We destroyed all their WMDs, but now their new president is making fun of us and saying he’s going to build nuclear bombs and that we can’t stop him. Well, nuclear bombs are even worse than WMDs, so what did we accomplish?”
Laura McDonald, a total fucking moron from Chandler, Arizona, says she is disappointed that the president hasn’t been a more forceful advocate of Christian values. “This country was founded on Christia n values,” she says, “but you’d never know it looking around and seeing all the Mexicans running around.
I thought Bush was going to bring Jesus back into the government. Instead, Christians are being persecuted worse than ever before in history, because all these Mexicans come here and tell Christians that we have to respect their religious beliefs. So now it’s illegal for children to pray in school. Soon it will be illegal for them to speak English.”
Not all total fucking morons have turned their backs on the president. Jeb Larkin of Topeka, Kansas says he still fully supports Bush. “He is doing a great job. He is a great president. He is a great decider. I have a puppy. His tail sticks straight up and you can see his butthole.”
And not all Republican lawmakers are concerned about the poll. Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN), for one, does not find it a cause for anxiety. While he agrees that his party should not t ake total fucking morons for granted, they “really
don’t have anywhere else to go. They’re never going to be able to understand someone like Al Gore or John Kerry or anybody intelligent and articulate who wants to talk about substantive issues. Just try having a conversation with one
of them about global warming. They’ll say, ‘Oh, but Rush says volcanoes consume more ozone than humans do.’I mean, they’re morons! Total fucking morons!”
“They’ve got nowhere else to go,” Alexander reaffirms with a smile, “and they always vote.”
:rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:
Hey Kev, good luck on the job thing, even if it isn’t (much) mo money. Hold out for a corner office, at least.
Well Mom is saying that the mornings are so incredibly bad on AAR that it has to be that they are retooling mornings.
From my listening to last night’s show, it seems like the suits and Marc are really far apart…Im not too hopeful…but they would be smart to do anything they hasve to to keep Marc…
Debate is now on MSNBC!!
What can they really do, though? The trust is gone. The thrill of doing something for the cause is gone. Give up your life and home (again) for a basket full of promises? I dunno. I would love to see (hear) Marc back on mornings again, but how much shit is he supposed to take? What about Jim? He just picked up and moved out there, too. Now his life is AFU, too.
I think they ought to hold out and insist the show be done from brand new studios in Syracuse, NY. Low cost of living, not exactly a terrorist target, but still in the Eastern time zone. Plus, talk about being big fish in a small pond, and less than an hour away from NYC on Jet Blue for those Conan appearances, and a whole bunch of colleges on the area. And I’m willing to give him a couple of cats, too.
Debate also on CSPAN.
If you can stand listening to Liebermann. Fucker.
You tell him Ned!
“I have loyalties that are greater than those to my party,” said Joe Lieberman, who last December made the anti-democratic claim that, “We undermine the president’s credibility at our nation’s peril.” And those loyalties include first and foremost total support of the neocon agenda.
well, Mom is saying that they have fixed Joe up…but there is only so much you can do…
the new thing outta Rove is “whiny”…so they have obviously tried to fix joe up
Had to turn it off. Joe makes me want to puke, or kick the TV screen in.
Ned started nervous…but now hes hot hos stride…all Joe can do is sputter and try to attack Ned
Pj…youre missing the good part!
The AFL-CIA supports Lieberman!:omg:
This is an example of all the upcoming races…its gonna be a big barometer…and what Ned is saying is really important to get out there, even if it only becomes some sound byte of example of what most of us wanted.
This is a real challenge to the whole Bush tyrany, and Ned is saying that we are not going to lay down and take it anymore….it may be too much for some people…but Joe is discombobulated as far as I can see…
ok, i’ll try again.
THE RUNAWAY BUNNY
:omg: Where is She?:rofl2:How about the brown bunny?
all top democrats in CT supportED lieberman …and they are all backpedalling along with Hillary. They will support Ned if he wins. They wont support Joe running independent.
Joy shook her glittering pinions as she flew;
The shout of rapture and the song of bliss,
The sportive titter and the melting kiss,
All blended with the smile, that shone like early dew.
:nixon:
Oh, this is just f#$%@ great
I’m on vacation but working this week- I’ve had to watch the sad little clown chuckle through his birthday ALL day on CNN, the sorry republican b*%@# filling in for Matthews on Hardballz do her minstrel show and now I’m supposed to swallow an online petition for sorry-assed AAR to make up their G*%!?%mn minds about doing the right thing for Maron?………, sorry, just have a little ‘tude about everything today.

Thats was a good debate…
Joe, using Ronnie’s line “there you go again”…
Ned was really good in his manner and content.
Well look on the bright side art we are missing all the tornado, flash flood and heavy thunderstorm alerts … so far.:fustrate::tongue:
Good to see Lieberjerk being blown out of the water… Lamont will make the congressional demodorps curl up in fetal positions under their beds and suck their thumbs.:fist:
Ned reminds me of Dean in how he says what he believes and doesnt care about the political fallout or who has the power.
I see a major shakeup a coming to DC!!
I was scheduled to phonebank for Lamont on Saturday but Will’s surgery tomorrow will probably get in the way depending on the meds he gets and if my Mom will stay here or go back to the city.
77% think that Ned Lamont won….sorta like bush’s numbers;-)
I heard Lieberman affecting Lloyd Benston’s “You’re no Jack…” by sayng “I am not George Bush.” Lieberman is one slick politician.
I heard Lamont mention Harding High School. Is that Warren G. Harding High School?
:omg:
Lieberjerk certainly lost .. He proved himself to be an absolute idiot.. That should make him perfect for all the thugs that were watching.. Hey man he’s one of us..:barf::yuck::eek::shock:
Struggle for affordable healthcare in Oregon
Local Chapters
Local chapters are getting started in Pendleton, La Grande, Roseburg, Ashland, Medford, Grants Pass, Eugene, Corvallis, Salem, Silverton, Beaverton and East Portland. If you would like to join one of these chapters or help start a chapter in your area, please email Liz Baxter, Archimedes Movement project director, at liz@archimedesmovement.org. You can also check the Archimedes Movement website for a local chapter near you and stay involved.
Once we have the local chapters in place we can start the process of tying to put all of this into a draft “legislative concept” that we can use to advance our ideas through the legislature and/or on the ballot. We will have another series of meetings later this summer and early fall to work together on this legislative concept.
Thank you for your commitment and ongoing support.
Sincerely,
John Kitzhaber, M.D.
Lamont volunteers to teach there Nicki, he has been doing this volunteer teaching thing for a long time.

Hey Melina…I’m trying to catch up on news….
”I have loyalties that are greater than those to my party,” said Joe Lieberman, who last December made the anti-democratic claim that, “We undermine the president’s credibility at our nation’s peril.” And those loyalties include first and foremost total support of the neocon agenda.
Grrrrrr. The words of fuckface Neocon. Anyone reading this should know where Lieberman’s true political heart lies.
Well, nbc30 has it 80/20 Lamont. MSNBC has it 83/15 Lamont.
its so great….I hope this is a wave that sweeps the whole country!
This wasnt solely a liberal fringe audience…this was the freakin Hardball audience!! They are middle to right these days…real liberals are too angry at Chris to watch it anymore….only us diehards wanting to suss out the bad guys on the Imus front…eekkkk…
Did I tell you all that Imus was all “Lieberman is my boy” this morning…”who is this Lamont guy?”
Well, I wish Id be aorund for IMus tomorrow (though Mom will have it on her lil radio that she keeps in her ear all day) He may have to learn Lamont’s name….Charles too!
now MSNBC has 83% Lamont…I hadnt voted there yet…and a video posted called “is Lieberman in Trouble?”
Good thing Joe has that INdependant run thing to fall back on….not!!
Ok, IM off to bed with a sleeping pill because I have to get up at 4 to get to the hospital. I hope to be back early tomorrow afgternoon with a boy on lots of drugs.
The surgery nurse said that this is a particularly painful surgery. I knew it because the surgeon said it to Will and they usually dont unless its gonna be really bad.
