I haven’t had a chance to see if the big truce is still holding, but I hope it is (I mean, if they can’t hold it for five hours…). People can pretty much die all on their own in this world, without anybody helping them along. So, whattya say we all try not killing anybody (on purpose, at least) for, oh, I dunno, how about a year? Would that be too long? After that, maybe we can take a vote and see how things worked out.
So, no helicopter attacks on Hamas, no rocket attacks on Israel, no suicide bombing, no IED’s, no invading sovereign nations (even if we don’t really like their leaders), and of course none of your basic daily murder (what the hell, why don’t we call a moratorium on raping an pillaging, too, since the three really seem to go together; a little mayhem on the weekends would be OK, I guess).
I figure with all the money we save from not blowing shit up, we could maybe do some real good (can you imagine if the US Government were to take the $10 Billion a month – that’s 10 Gigadollars, for chrissakes – we’re spending on Iraq, and put it into, oh, electric cars or education or, well, just about anything else). Maybe we could put the Christians to work on it, to keep ’em busy; I think if they just had a little less time on their hands, they might not feel such a need to go fucking with the rest of us all the time (just make sure there’s somebody we can trust keeping an eye on ’em, or they’ll rob us blind in the name of Christ). Plus, think of all the freakin’ time we could save, not having to go through airport security.
Have a good Monday.

I have to feed strays and do wash, but before I go for a bit:
on 60 Minutes, Mike Wallace has a chat with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (that could be interesting), plus they’ll be re-running the Stephen Colbert segment, which is definitely worth watching.
President Ahmadinejad was wonderful and profound — stupid idiot bush:!:
The news on the AAR main channel only did a very negative snip that made the Pres. sound theatening. I saw the part and I saw Wallce manipulating (or trying to) and I saw President Ahmadinejad be “brilliant” around M Wallace negative questions. He showed at least that he has a “brain”.
Then there was replay of Stephen … PERFECT:banana::rofl2:
:neutral:its amazing how intelligent every other head of state in the world comes off when put next to dim-bulb bush! ok well im going sleep sleep later sheeple!:peace::sheep:

Good morning :sheep:le!
I have to back up Sean concerning Robert Schimmel. Funny, funny stuff. I almost blew out a monitor at my last job spewing water while listening to one of his CDs.
Krista, I’m still looking for a cool place to hang that swing. I’m probably not going to find one down here, though. Humidity is still really nasty.:hot:
will look up robert schimmel – I’m in desperate need of the funny. :billcat:
have a good Monday, folks! :joe:
BAGHDAD, Iraq // As U.S. forces conducted a new security sweep in western Baghdad yesterday, five apparently coordinated bombings in a predominantly Shiite neighborhood on the city’s south side killed at least 57 people and wounded 148, an Iraqi government official said.
The death toll could rise, the official said, as emergency workers searched for victims in the rubble of an apartment building that collapsed as a result of the bombings.

Cease fire is in name only .. Israel does not expect it to hold .. mostly because they keep violating it :gate::omg::jason::fist:
Israel intends to abide by the cease-fire when it takes effect on Monday morning, even though senior Israeli officials assume that Hizbullah will not honor it, officials close to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said on Sunday night.
The officials said the working assumption at the Prime Minister’s Office was that Hizbullah would not honor the agreement and that the world would then comprehend Israel’s predicament more than ever. At press time, the Lebanese cabinet had not given final approval to the cease-fire.
“When Hizbullah violates the cease-fire, the world will see who the aggressor is and will understand us,” a source close to Olmert said. “We will insist that the agreement be implemented. It’s a good agreement for Israel and Hizbullah’s opposition is proof

30,000 fill the streets around the White House
Washington, DC
More then 30,000 demonstrators filled the streets around the White House today chanting, “Stop the US-Israeli war against Lebanon and Palestine.”
The New York Times reported today that the demonstration’s “diverse crowd included many Arab-Americans and Muslims, college students and families, as well as veterans of prior demonstrations against the war in Iraq.” The NY Times goes on, “thousands of people rallied near the White House on Saturday to protest what they described as Israeli aggression in Lebanon and the United States’ unwavering support for Israel …At the rally on Saturday, the prevailing sentiments were expressed in signs held aloft by marchers: “Occupation is a crime — Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine.” “Stop Israeli terrorism.” “No justice, no peace.’’
From New York Times today:
Brian Becker, national coordinator of a coalition called Act Now to Stop War and End Racism, a sponsor of the rally, asserted that President Bush had given Israel a green light to crush Hezbollah in Lebanon, then ‘sent cluster bombs to the Israeli Defense Forces to kill Lebanese children.’
This was the largest demonstration in the US since the commencement of the Israeli bombing campaign of Lebanon and Gaza in mid-July.

The problem ANSWER has is that it is made up of a bunch of fringe groups .. even Hartman won’t talk about them..:yuck::eek:
UPJ is a mainline group but no one talks about them either.. I guess the DLC doesn’t think that they have enough money to be a influential force in politics and neither group ever breaks anything. :gate::omg::jason::fist:
I saw thwe interview with the Iranian prez (I can’t spell his name) and Wallace. I thought that Wallace was trying to avoid being called the Al Qaeda Interviewer by being aggressive and disagreeable. I found the performance distracting and the result was that he made Ahm……. look much better than he might have if the interviewer had been more straight forward, with less telegraphing of personal disdain.
ZAHRANI, Lebanon – Hezbollah distributed leaflets on Monday congratulating Lebanon on its “big victory” and thanking citizens for their patience during the 34-day war with Israel.
Supporters of the guerrilla group were seen passing out leaflets to cars heading south on the Zahrani highway, which connects the hard-hit southern cities of Nabatiyeh, Tyre and Sidon.
“Congratulations to you on the big victory, with the support of God, the mujahedeen (holy warriors) and your patience,” it read.
The flyers also warned people not to touch any suspicious objects, which could be unexploded ordnance
Fox reported that there were 5,000 people at the protest. Since the Park Service stopped giving out the official MIScount, everyone is now free to make up their own numbers.
If the US ever got invaded by a foreign army the M$M news would report our great victories clear up until the time a tank and six trucks of troops rolled up in front of their studios:gate::omg::jason:.
Gee, the GOP could start handing out leaflets congratulating us for winning the war on (insert any failed program.)
Exactly who won in the Middle East is not easy to decern. Everyone seems like a loser to me but it’s the Lebanese people who clearly lost the most.
They need a special Miiddle East united nations.

Why did they wait until I was out of DC before having their parade?
Some anchor twit on Fox last night said that if Lieberman-Lamont had been this week after the terror attacks, Lieberman would have won.
What is WRONG with these people?
The problem with most conflicts around the world is that the people in the US whether that is an American watching the news on the TeeVee or a diplomat from the country(s) involved is not there where people are being killed and blown up by bombs or herded into the GAZA concentration camps. .. They treat it much like the Liberal radio callers do by talking about it in the second person and politicizing or making fun of it because it doesn’t directly apply to them.
The US needs to be involved in another war on US soil so that person sitting in their leather lounge chair can experience an air attack on his house or someone in olive drab sticking an assault rifle in his face. They may then understand a lot better and move to solve the problems a lot faster.:gate::omg::jason::jason::fist:
Fred, #43, don’t bet on people’s better nature. I think you will be disappointed. As for wars in the US:omg:
I haven’t seen the 9/11 film, don’t want to and don’t know anyone who does. I watched the whole thing from my roof. It was VERY scary. I waited for someone official to tell us what was happening and what we should do. Expect more attacks? Leave the City? Bush was flying around looking REALLY jerky and Rudy that @$%&^$& got to be a hero for scrambling around his ridiculous bunker that he insisted on building on the 23rd floor of bldg 7 in the World Trade Center.
One of the things that gets me about the Israel/Lebanon conflict is that several nations sent navy war ships to the area while they were evacuating there civilians. The major damage done by Israel to the region was by air strikes and most of those war ships had the ability to shoot down the Israeli aircraft.. Why didn’t some Western European leader have his naval force do that.. It looks like Hezbollah has at least an equivalent capability in not a superior capability on the ground as Israel does. Thy would have equalized the fighting , made a fool our of the Israeli’s , embarrassed George Bush and Loser Lice and probably made a lot of friends in Lebanon and else where in the middle east.
If they are afraid of the US they are going to have to eventually come to the conclusion that we are the problem in the world and not the solution. In six years they apparently have learned very little or world leaders are a social club like the senate is..:gate::omg::jason::jason::fist:
:rant1:When another war does come to America it will probably be either in the form of truck bombs blowing away things all over the place or by several containers with nuclear weapons going off in key places.. The people in the effected cities will be terrified when hundreds of square blocks and hundreds of thousands of people just disappear, they lose power, run out of food, can’t pump gas for their car and have gangs of the poor and misplaced ransacking their 8000 sq foot houses. while the rest of the country will be some what unaffected, unless they lose power and TV services and have to witness long lines of refugees fleeing the no longer inhabitable large metro areas. The refugees will probably come to visit the others at night looking for food and housing.. the greedy rethugs will all sooner or later be disappeared.:eek::eek::rant1:
Israel would have attacked anybody that fired on them, so that’s why nobody did. That really would be the beginning of WW3.
It would have made for a good test of Naval air defenses under realistic conditions.. I remember Margret Thacher ‘s navy had several ships heavily damaged in the Falkland dispute.. they thought they were almighty and Argentina proved them wrong. Israel would have lasted about 30 minutes against the French navy. The French also have nuclear weapons and a delivery capability so I doubt that the US would have confronted them and they were to close to and up wind from israel for Israel to have used any nuclear armaments on them.:eek::rant1::yuck:
No way would France or anybody else be stupid enough to get into a shooting war with Israel. I mean, why would they? You think anybody really cares all that much about Lebanon or Palestine? I’m sure Israel would be more than happy to deploy tactical nukes, or even toss some bigger shit out there if it came down to it, and I wouldn’t underestimate the US aircraft that the Israelis fly, either. It’s not like you have to get all that close these days.
Hezbollah seems to be in a shooting war with Israel and they seem for all practical purposes to have won.
Last spring the French had a serious uprisings in there Muslim community.. With Muslims and several other supporting counties sitting on 80% of the worlds oil a lot of the worlds industrialized nations care about what happens in the middle east.:eek::yuck:
The Russian mig 29 and the French Mirage 2000 are both considered as an aircraft equivalent to the F16. The problem with defending a ship against an air attack is first to be able to see the incoming ordnance and either jam the guidance systems or lock onto the missile fired from an airplane and intercept it with something… American naval ships use a system called Phalanx which is a group of Gatling guns that essentially build a wall of lead for the incoming missile to fly though.. It also blows away any other ship with in a half mile down range of the system..
The best defensive solution is to use war ships built for withstanding naval artillery bombardment, That was one reason the WWII battle ships were put back into action.. A lot of the European nations use WWII or slightly newer American surplus naval vessels ..A perfect defense against the modern weapons.
Most of the US weapons systems are designed to use against an enemy which does not have an equivalent amount of fire power.. Those enemies are becoming fewer and fewer.:eek::crap::rant1:

Thanks for that fred:doh:
The only reason Hezbollah can be said to “win” a confrontation with Israel is because Hezbollah isn’t an actual country. Could anyone suggest that Lebanon is a winner in any of this?
And, again, why would anybody else – a Western European Nation – want a shooting war with Israel (and all the ramifications that would bring)? It isn’t even a question of whether the Israeli airforce would be superior to a couple of Navy vessels. Dunno, don’t care.
Only a freakin’ idiot (say, Bush and the neocons) wants to start a war. Especially for no reason. Certainly, if they were attacked by Israel, there would be a response, but as long as Israel allowed them to evacuate their citizens, why would they provoke Israel (and the US, and suffer the other consequences that would bring – like the disruption of the oil supply, for starters; you can bet Israel would move to do that) by shooting down its aricraft? Because they care about Lebanese civilians? Yeah, right, that’ll be the day.
Two Fox News Journalists Kidnapped In Gaza…
it’s getting kinda ugly over at the Huffpo comment section….
I really don’t consider Hezbollah much differently than I consider the Republicans.. Both are a fringe minority group controlling local and national politics and having a military force. Both groups have gained political control through emotion and fear and in the case of the Republicans illegal behavior.:eek::rant1:
this is really good. may send it to my fascist congressman who just said that “this” is a war of religion:
Since Israel is such a threat to peace in the region and their oil supplies the Europeans should move to isolate them instead they appease them. Russia could easily supply oil to Western Europe while what if any mess caused by a conflict with Israel was cleaned up. :yuck::eek: Western Europe is afraid of the Antisemitism label and the reaction of the SBR more than they are of any Israeli response..:fustrate::paranoid:
The Bush administration is really good at pushing buttons on all their rabid fringe allies.. In many cases pushing one groups button contradicts what they just did with another group.. it seems to show total lack of any subjective analysis on the part of any of the fringe groups.:eek::yuck:

Today, this question hangs in the air: Will MoveOn now poll its membership in New York about whether to make an endorsement in the Clinton vs. Tasini race?
I [Norman Solomon] put the question to the executive director of the MoveOn.org political action committee, Eli Pariser. Here’s his full reply: “We focus on the issues and candidates our members are excited about. We’ve heard almost nothing from MoveOn members on Tasini – New York MoveOn members are more focused on winning back Congress, ending the war on Iraq, and Ned Lamont. As for our formal endorsement process, that’s triggered where there are two viable candidates and where there’s a baseline of interest from our members. Right now, this one doesn’t meet that second threshold.”
But the only reliable way to find out how interested New York members of MoveOn would be in a Clinton-or-Tasini endorsement is to ask them. And, evidently, that’s a question that the people in charge of MoveOn.org don’t want to ask.
On the issue of Clinton vs. Tasini, the current MoveOn stance comes across as a way for its leaders to make sure that MoveOn members in New York don’t get to respond to a poll that would likely result in an endorsement of Tasini.

Here is a Real Deal:
When I announced that I was entering the race for the U.S. Senate, I began with a quote from Martin Luther King, Jr.: “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” I am not a professional politician whose sole goal is to accumulate power so I have the freedom to speak my mind and I will not be silent.
I’ve touched the “third rail” of politics in New York: the Israel-Palestine conflict, the dreadful occupation and the never-ending violence that is spinning out of control, in large part because the United States—and politicians like Hillary Clinton—continue to blindly pursue a one-sided policy in the Palestinian-Israel conflict, a policy that is causing more death and sorrow for civilians on all sides of the conflict and, ironically, is hurting the security of Israel.
From the beginning of this race, I was committed to speaking the truth, whether about the Iraq war/occupation or abusive corporate power or the corruption coursing through our political system. People are simply fed up with the pandering, the triangulation and the inability to speak the truth that is endangering our country’s future, our relations in the world and our well-being at home. We need a real opposition party, a Democratic Party with a vision that has the spine to stand for something authentic and honest. . .

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip – Palestinian gunmen ambushed a car carrying a Fox News crew in Gaza City on Monday and kidnapped two of the journalists inside, according to witnesses and Fox. “We can confirm that two of our people were taken against their will in Gaza,” Fox News said in a statement.
A Fox employee in Gaza, who declined to give his name because he was not authorized to release information about the incident, said the two kidnapped people were reporter Steve Centanni, a U.S. citizen, and a cameraman from New Zealand.
The men, along with a bodyguard, were parked near the headquarters of the Palestinian security services when two trucks filled with gunmen pulled up and boxed them in, according to the employee. The gunmen took the two out of their sports utility vehicle, which was marked “TV,” and drove away, he said.

usually when journalists are kidnapped their network does not even release that there was a kidnapping for a day or even days…they try to get a safe release before it’s public – usually easier and safer for the reporters. fux doesn’t sound too swift to me.
UPDATE: was told that hamas doesn’t usually kill hostages – THAT’s good news.

Sen. Clinton, along with her husband Bill, paid a visit to Israel last fall [2005]. The former President was a featured speaker at a mass rally that marked the 10th anniversary of the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. It was Hillary’s second visit to Israel since she was elected to office in 2000.
The senator did manage to take time out of her voyage to meet with the then semi-conscious Ariel Sharon to discuss “security matters.” Hillary also made her way to the great apartheid wall, which separates Palestine from Israel. As of now, the barrier is nearing completion, and when all is said and done the monstrosity will stretch to well over 400 miles in length.
Palestinians rightly criticize the obtrusive wall on the grounds that it cuts them off from occupied land in the West Bank. Thousands have also been cut off from their jobs, schools, and essential farmland.
Hillary and her Israeli allies don’t get it. When you put powerless Palestinians behind a jail-like wall where life in any real economic sense is unattainable, you wreak pain and anguish, which in turn leads to more anger and resentment toward Israel’s brutal policies. Indeed, the wall will not prove to be a deterrent to resistance, but an incitement to defiance.
“This is not against the Palestinian people,” Clinton said as she gazed over the massive wall. “This is against the terrorists. The Palestinian people have to help to prevent terrorism. They have to change the attitudes about terrorism.”
The senator’s comments seem as if they were taken word-for-word from an AIPAC position paper. They may well have been. Last May, 2005, Sen. Clinton spoke at an AIPAC conference where she praised the bonds between Israel and the United States:
“[O]ur future here in this country is intertwined with the future of Israel and the Middle East. Now there is a lot that we could talk about, and obviously much has been discussed. But in the short period that I have been given the honor of addressing you, I want to start by focusing on our deep and lasting bonds between the United States and Israel.”
Clinton went on to wail about the importance of disarming Iran and Syria as well as keeping troops in Iraq for as long as “it” takes. It was textbook warmongering and surprise, surprise, Hillary got a standing ovation for her repertoire.

6:45 p.m.: Where things stand. Tens of thousands of Lebanese jammed bomb-cratered roads Monday as they returned to still-smoldering scenes of destruction after a tenuous cease-fire ended 34 days of vicious combat between Israel and Hezbollah. In northern Israel, residents emerged from bomb shelters. The fighting left nearly 950 people dead — 791 in Lebanon and 155 on the Israeli side, according to official counts. A U.N. force that now has 2,000 peacekeepers in south Lebanon is to grow to 15,000 troops, and Lebanon’s army is to send in a 15,000-man contingent.
Randi’s favorite presidork was probably the best republican president we had for quite a while..The lieberjerk class of DINO’s need to be completely removed from the Democratic party.. I hope Tasini unseats Queen Clinton that would send all the DLC thugs scrambling for cover.:eek::rant1:
People like Norman Solomon say that, even if Tasini does not unseat Hillary, it is important that he gets a lot of votes. This may deter her from running for president in 2008.

(1) the problems of an unjust and unsustainable world may be rooted in fundamental systems, such as corporate capitalism and the imperialism of powerful nation-states, no matter who is in power, and
(2) the Democratic Party is not only not a meaningful vehicle for progressive politics but, as a subsidiary of that corporate system with its own history and contemporary practice of empire-building, is part of the problem.

Whether we get a democratic house or senate, and some freakin’ investigations with subpoena power, has nothing to do with Randi, or anyone else’s, radio show.
It depends on a whole lot of morons over the age of 18 staying home and not voting.
Its our system. God Bless America. :sammy:
I’m beginning to wonder how smart these terrorists really are with all the holes in our nations security. You’d think they’d have already exploited the lack of security at our ports, our shopping malls, hotels. But wait! I might be there. Hope no terrorists are reading this blog. Would not want to give them any ideas. Maybe they could use one of those katusha rockets to blow AF1 out of the air. Okay perhaps I’m being a little to extreme tonight. But it helps to vent sometimes. I’d just get a lot of satisfaction out of being able to slap Geo W. Bush around a bit. Someone needs to . . . that fucker! It might also be fun to punch him in the belly!
Delusional ppl think God blesses America. Not that I think you’re delusional cresttwo. Never seen you here before. You’re not the one sending morse code messages through my computer speakers are you? Your name Karl by chance?
Don’t everybody talk at once! Gez ppl. Your hurting my ears. :rant1:
I guess everyone ran for cover. So just to let you know. I did another podcast today. I don’t think it came off to well. But who am I to judge? Go here to listen to my podcasts. I’m no Marc Maron, no professional . . . just little ole me, cnickthomas!
I just gave $50 to Oregon Action. :omg:
By attacking the US while a conservative government was in control the Islamic terrorists achieved their objective similar to bating insects in traps where the insect gets poison on him and then crawls back into nest and kills the rest. Its a slow process but very much underway in the SBR.. The people are too stupid or preoccupied to see it happening.. :hubba::hubba:
My head hurts now so I’m gonna lay down for a bit. Damn . . . there goes those morse code messages again! N e one got a decoder book? Later good sheeple!
This is what I get now when I attempt to access articles at znet.

That error message sounds like the data base access engine on the Znet server is not running or your security settings prohibit something it wants to have happen. That could be indicative of a problem on either end.:paranoid:
I get the same error with IE.. I would suspect the problem is on the Znet end.
NickiRose you need to do me a favor and be the first to do a telephone interview for my podcasts. You seem like you would be interesting to talk too. Just a thought. Let me know. Bye again ppl. These coded messages just keep coming. Reminds me of that movie with Jody Foster . . . “Contact!”
I sorta had a fit back there. Sorry about that. I’m just a little tired. Oh, and tired of these pep talks that go like, “Hey, my mom and I like having you here, but get out as soon as you can, ok?
poor travis, someone throwing you out?
Well, kinda, sorta. They were generous enough to let me stay here, but they just like having all this space to themselves- two stories w/ a basement and a huge yard.
Well I’d let you stay here for awhile. But I doubt you’d like Birmingham, Alabama. It would surely be a culture shock.
Thanks, Cnick. I guess I just heard my cue, now it’s time I get my act together.
I thought you and Kristapea were working on something? Or was that Kevin? I get confused. I must confess, I don’t know a lot about most ppl here.
The most I’ve been working on is cleaning this place up and getting tanked
So have you been a bum or something Travis? You sound like a younger guy. But for all I know your an old man. I think it would be helpful if PJ would add a link under everyones name to a bio. So we’d know more about one another. Just a thought. I said I was gonna lay down. I figure Druid is a Wiccan or a witch or both. Her cryptic messages are like those coded messages I’m getting from the ethereal. I stay confused much of the time.
I think I’m the youngest person here. Yeah, I guess you could call me a bum. I’m not lazy, though.
Poor Travis . . . you just haven’t found your place in the world. So you thought about going to college? How ’bout joining the Military. I hear tell they make you a man. No . . . scratch that . . . you’d end up in Iraq. We can’t have our liberal boys fighting in that lame ass war!
You could do a podcast with me, but you’re prolly to lazy to do that huh? O yeah, shy! N e way. You seem pretty intelligent from what I’ve read here. Not some dumbass. Most ppl here seem pretty smart.
Well, I think I have about a year worth of College paid for. But I haven’t had any real help getting to that point. I mean, I think I’d have to have a stable income and an apartment. And, so for, that isn’t something I have right now. Maybe next spring or next year.
I haven’t really been getting tanked all the time, though, ok? I over simplified the situation under which I’ve been spending my time.
I’ll do a podcast with ya’. I’ll let ya’ know when I’m ready.
I figure by “tanked” you mean “drunk off your ass?” I donno why but I never was much for drinking even though I had a lot of reasons to drink. I mean . . . God is against me! What could be worse than that? But I’m not worrying about it Trav. I just throw the shit right back at em. I got student loans to go too college. Majored in Music and received minors in Business Administration and Journalism. For all the good it did me! I work for an Insurance Company now. Go figure. But I do alright . . . ‘cept I spend to much money. Credit cards have got me so into debt. Looking for a rich man or to win the lottery. But I doubt that’ll ever happen. So I guess I’m in the s hole for awhile. I’m having fun though.
Coolness Travis about the podcast . . . I’d like that.
I’m on the ‘s’ list, so we have that in common. I’ve never wanted a credit card.
Good for you about staying away from Credit Cards. You are a smart boy! Well stay in touch my man. I’m gonna head out. We’ll talk again soon. Goodnight sheeple! cnick loves you all.
Later.:peace:
Am I the only one?
Hey blogistas…..anyone around?
I was around…but now I think I’m square:smack:
how you doing Trav?
I’m alright. You?
hey :bong:
I’m watching The Blue Man group on PBS and they are cool. But the shiny blue heads gross me out for some reason. Plus the blue reminds me of smurfs and I was a bit too old to really appreciate smurfs except in a derisive sort of way.
Im just so-so…sorta depressed and not feeling too great
Im listening to cnick’s podcast on this other computer
The sound is really great cnick
Butch is Marc’s dead cat…right?
Hey YO’ Travis- You there?
Todays podcast is all about the blog.
hey sblue!
Hey Melina:tongue:
cnick…we also have some Floridistas…Kevin, at least, and Kat and Mr in GA (though I think Mr is in Iraq again as of today)….and there is a japan contingent but they tend to be around more when Marc resurfaces……
Hey, nick…I think your podcast is good, so far….you have a good voice for radio. You ve got just the right amount of accent…like John Edwards.
I have to stop listening for tonight because Im so tired…but will pick it up again tomorrow.
Yeah.I’m listening to cnick’s podcast.
You know, these crazy jewish ladies at they gym who usually go to Israel every summer are reinstating their trips because they believe in this ceasefire……can you believe that? They are thinking that its OK to travel anywhere now….
I wouldnt personally unless I had to…but thats me.
I also like to bring my fluids with me on the plane…..
Its good, isnt it?…I only got up to the Iranian president…he didnt talk about me either!!!
Travis… wow sounds like you have had a rough day. I hope I didn’t contribute to that with my teasing earlier. You must know I mean well. Sounds like Bill is trying to light a fire under you and is being pressured from “above” so to speak. Please don’t leave the blog- you know I have strong feelings about you being here and not cut off. You have a lot of support here and some tangible evidence of that already… Well I have a lot more to say..I am still tired from the weekend. But I can tell you I was in debt up the wazzoo not so long ago and it took a loooong time to slog out of it and that was with no financial help from anyone but the “universe” and some amazing timing that happened like getting fired….
Did you guys hear about this new talking point calling things Democrat instead of Democratic? they have decided to remove the “ic” and focus on the “rat”…its funny because when you know it you realize how many of them are doing it now….and its an order from on high.
Al was talking about it today.
Travis- youre not really thinking of leaving the blog for a couple of weeks are you?….Why cant you blog and get a job at the same time?
Yeah I think I heard Al say that but he was talking in super slow- mo today. I thought.
Dont leave Trav…please? I like to hear about your travels and I want to know who you meet and wher eyou go out there….
He had on some language person..Al really sux lately…
I think that part of the reason that Im feelign so depressed is that I miss AAR.
Did Sam say anything tonight about the show? This was the day that he was supposed to let us know?…or they were gonna let him know…
Oh,.. I meant that I had to focus on finding an apartment and getting a job. I have to do it pretty quickly, too, so I figured that I wouldn’t be spending time here on the blog. I’m not, like, vanishing for good or anything. Stay cool. It’s alright.
Uh, ’cause I’ll be riding the bus and walking all day.
Yeah Travis- what I think I may do is get out the old kitchen timer and set a blog time limit. Like 15 minutes of “checking” then something productive like say…that income tax extension…
Some appointments to be made.(Those are for me) You could be looking at Craig’s list or calling that phone number. There is also a real “art ” to being a houseguest I learned from my friend on your ipod. Anyway I’m throwing this down but it is better in a conversation. We all struggle with this shit when we would all rather be doing something else more appealing.
One thing we didn’t do yesterday was get your Gmail configured into your Mail program….
Hey, I worked my ass off here at the house. I’ve been an outstanding house guest- except that one night I was drunk and came in late. But the old lady can’t really see it. And she’s pissed that I’m even here. It’s strange to me ’cause someone could live in this house and she wouldn’t even know it.
I’m not sure how to to do that. I’ll investigate the gmail situation
Travis throw it down for a sec if you’d like me to go back and edit.
I get so caught in reading theblog and other blogs too….and, god, when Im writing, forget it.
Ive decided that I have to do my stuff in the morning before I look at email even because Ive been late for everything lately.
And Trav- hopefully you’ll get a job right away…like a barista job…are those available there? Isnt it a place full of coffee houses?
I could help you with it because I have mine set up to come into the laptop- then you don’t have to keep trying to log in on the website.
I’d put a good word in for you at my favorite place there.
Um, ok. I just don’t know anything about coffee. So, I’d have to learn about it.
sblue…so nice….
and Trav, you are a very intelligent and nice guy…if you get a job at one of these places you will meet lots of people and make friends…probably find a room to rent etc…
They totally train you
Some of the Moms round here are taking those jobs when their kids grow u p just to get out and see people….its very social.
Well all I can say is don’t “learn” at Starbuck’s. It’ll ruin you. :joe:
I guess I’ll start hitting the nearest exit from the jobless road tomorrow.
well, guys…enough of my babble…Im gonna have to head to sleep…Colbert is on and very funny….catch it if you can when the time rolls across the country….
dont disappear Travis…I’d worry
Thanks Melina!
It’s too bad I can’t steal the cable from the neighbors, too
nite sblue, Trav, and any lurkers out there….
I don’t usual steal, but these wifi signals are just too easy
Hey I have cable but it is not working- first fox was degraded then MSNBC now CNN.
I haven’t been watching much of anything.
I haven’t really watched much TV lately, but when you turn 89 your hearing goes out the window. So, I hear the TV pretty much from any room in the house:ear:
Did you get to watch V for Vendeta? How was it?
Bill let someone at his work barrow it before I could watch it.
Oh, Cnick. Bill is a friend, ok? Not Butch
Is he talking about Billcat?:billcat:
Uh, I didn’t even think of that! 😯
:omg:Is he talking about Billcat?:billcat:
Double trouble!
On the Majority Report, Sam said there was nothing to say yet regarding the show. Didn’t talk about it. Didn’t go any further.
Well travis- the offer is always there to brainstorm about work and the next steps- And things like…don’t rent anything from Don Kennedy in the U-district.
Hey thanks for that update paintinggirl. Great show last night.
:rofl2:Ok. I guess you’ll have to tell me why later.
Oh an T there was an email from the ex tonight:omg:
I’m gonna go do some stuff the check back at 11 or so- see how Druid’s day went.. See you then?
Mass email, or was it specifically to you?:omg:
OK.
Specifically..:omg:
😯 I guess there’s stuff to do or something, right?
Oh Travis did you get any mosquito bites?
Do they take two days to come out?
Or is there a brown recluse in my bed?
(Well there’s recluse anyway)
Oh other weird thing my dad brought up the one time he met G.
He said he never laughed so hard in his life at that dinner. I just mentioned I had heard from the ex and he brought it up. Spooky:omg:
Well I haven’t even started the project for the baby I am seeing Friday- so yeah:knit:
Yes
Don’t know
Have no idea what that means
And, yeah, G seemed to have a good sense of humor
Hey did you check out the link I sent last night?
Ok there is a mosquito in my house- that explains it…
A brown recluse is a really scarey spider with a bad bite:omg:
Sure, I did. I want to get the Coney Ilsand of the mind book.
Did you find Fiasco yet?
Yeah, Barnes and Noble called and said that they have it in stock, but I just haven’t had enough energy to walk or ride the bus to get it.
Am I bugging you?
No. But I’ve been sitting on my ass for too long.
Ok me too and it is turning into a lardass so i will get up and get my knitting and maybe pop a movie into the hard drive-
Alright. Later.:peace: I should eat somethin’…cuz I don’t think I have today:doh:
Oh, I get it now. You were just writing about bugs:smack: That’s genius!
Hey, Druid. Ya’ there? I was just watching a French movie called Intimate Strangers. I dunno if it’s any good yet, though
:omg:I’ve turned into a blog stalker!:smack:
:hubba:
Have you seen it?
Yeah I think I have…but can’t remember how it ends…
:doh:I forgot, it’s hard to type when your working:knit:
I’m sure they end up together. If that’s like for the rest of their lives…I don’t think so. I guess I have to finish the movie
Well It doesn’t look like Druid has be here..and I have an early morning tomorrow. Enjoy the flick!
Yeah, sure. Thanks. I guess this isn’t classified as being ditched, then, since it’s on a blog… Just kidding.
Hey I haven’t ditched you..
I was just over at IMDB.
Yeah, IMDB didn’t really have a good summary of the movie.
Ok I am going to skeedadle then…Looks like someone else is here though.’Nite Travis.
Nite. Those lurkers better come out from the shadows, or I’m leavin’!
:growl:Don’t think I don’t know you’re there, ’cause I do. Whoever you are!
That’s fine, then. If you’re going to be a blog stalker, at least have the audacity to jump out and post something. I mean, that’s my philosophy.
Maybe I’m not a blog stalker. Maybe I’m crazy, ’cause I’m sitting here typing to myself. :omg:Oh, no… I feel a sleepy-time delusion growing from the depths of the inner-mind! Screaming to be let free. The id and super-ego are battling and grappling it out, for the winner gets the prize of dominance over the body and, by extension, the computer!:omg:
Oh, C’mon. Somebody has to be here to witness this. It’ll be like it never happened if they aren’t.
Hey, type something? You… Yes, you!
M-Me? A-Are you typing t-to… me? :paranoid:
I’m too sleepy to carry this delusion any further.
I hope those neocon dinosaurs would just die, and become extinct, so we could move into their homes. Maybe Moonlightman might think that was funny. No punch-line, you’re right. Oh, well.
“A bucket of laughs”, that’s what Jim Earl would say:nod:
I am here, if anyone else is:cool:
Nice print PJ — And I’m just String’n along:wink:
travisdem_04 re 241   😎
I think I am always “in the dark” when I seem to finally be online for alittle fun:fist::cool::wink: but everyone disappears:no:
Even you Travis  :omg:
Well I got a bitch’n T whatever which says,
Be Afraid
Be Very Afraid
(giggles) with a “tres cool mug” that says “Witches Brew” and it’s a 3 cup Seatle like Tea Mug. Yea:!:
Well I have to go back to wurk’n:tongue: and a bit of lurk’n:hubba:
As Donkey sang, “I’m so along, so all alone. Nobody here beside me…” Donkey’s Song in Shrek.
It’s not just you, Druid. People are the same when I’m on here, too. They like to gawk in the shadows, but they’re not cool.
 Yea Travis 😎
What ya’ wurk’n on?
So what are you doin with life?
It’s sorta the other way ’round. What’s life doin’ to me? That’s a good question.
I am trying do answer….what am I doing… is such a strange dichotomy . My life is many strange stories …. but I spent many years with wolves so kinda “starting” so I guess first level is a children’s book about a wolf and the wild …with a message…but like Mary Shelly about Percy…part 2 in a sec— bizarre
Did you ever go to College, Druid?
That is why I listen to directions from SBlueHeron to you, a “budding writer” … 😉
As Mary said about Percy regarding his poems, “He has them written already, but in his head they are not on paper YET (to paraphrase Mary).”
That is why I say to you, don’t give up…you have lived much for your young age:wink: … I am a misanthrope and at one time speaker for many in L,A, then a recluse now but I am also running for office since “I am in Town now (with a Z with snaps)”
😉
Oh, I see. Well, when you get out of the shade, tell me, ok? Later
I thought you left:doh: Sorry about that
Yes ‘SC, but I lived “wild” so I really want to know were you are , since you are going in the right direction, but I know you feel a bit lost.
:knit2: That’s sums it up.
I don’t know if I’m a budding writer. I mean, I can barely wash a car window. Ask Sblue, she’ll tell ya’. So, if I have trouble with that, I think I’m headed for some major roadblocks. I’m sorta stuck in a rut, as it is.
I am doing well — I know and even had poems published and just have to send things out, but I am like Okeefe, and not wanting to release. Please do not misunderstand me….Iknow MY directions …you are young but are a bit lost and I heard you may move, but Seatle is “bitch’n for you…any I dea where you might travel to….My vote is Seatle. I know some things which you walk and just trying to say YEA to you :cool:
That’s why I wanted “to get you a bit alone”. Did you go to school?
Like, high school? Sorta. I hated every minute of it. The structure is all wrong.
Yes … I was a poor starving student that moved alot and STRUGGLED and always had to work at times FIRST then school and work then…but with a decent ending to begin life with ….soooo how old are you …(I already have directions for you)
Hey, I just turned twenty-one. Don’t you remember?
Talk to me, I will give you “secrets” to success:banana::!:
I’m talkin’ to ya’ right now
I know you are just a babe. That is “secret” one … you are YOUNG:banana:
What are your “dreams”:?:
Uh, 241!
And what are you looking regarding women? I was all that and more (since many told me then but I’m 108 now :banana:)
And what are you looking regarding women…
Um, I think you’re going to have to elaborate a little bit more than that.
But I did marry 10 years younger than me :rofl2:
Why are you sad in Seatle? Answer is this: go to a community college , get GED, and with your energy you WILL FIT
You will meet WONDERFUL women and…
There’s more, right?
You will see clearer directions…even if you do not want to stay at the school
You sound creative but with angst…
You need to channel that energy or it will eat ya up … you might even work out there, if you want…
How are :ear:?
teenage angst has payed off well…
now I’m bored and old
With the lights out
it’s less dangerous
Here we are now
Entertain us
Alright poet, go be #1
(on new stream too)
No. I don’t want to be number 1 either. You can
Nay 😉
Are we done for now? …and that may be it , huh?
Travis you write well…Don’t give up. Another secret is, “Keep a Journal:banana:”
This is my journal. Remember how much I wrote about Anchor Town bringin’ me down?
Travis, 😉
