It’s 7:00 Eastern Standard Time, and Polls closed an hour ago in parts of Indiana and Kentucky, and are closing right now in lots of other places, including Virginia, where we’re all hoping to see Senator Macaca go down, and in majority of Florida (the parts that are in the eastern time zone). We’ve got half an hour ’til the polls close in Ohio, when we can begin to see just how badly the Republican voter suppression machine screwed the people this time around. At 8:00, the polls close in the rest of Florida, CT (everybody keep your fingers crossed for Ned Lamont), NJ (where we’ll be keeping an eye on Menendez), PA (hopefully signaling the end of man-on-dog Sanatorium’s political career), and quite a few other places.
So, anyway, as polls close in your neck of the woods, let us know how things are going – especially in those local races that mean a lot to you, but maybe aren’t going to get a lot of play on the national news. We’re hopeful up here in Upstate New York that we can pick up a bunch of House seats, so hopefully I’ll have some good news on that front not too soon after the polls close at 9:00.
