They’re calling for a “major ice storm” coming my way today, including the possibility of “widespread power outages.” Hopefully, it’s a whole lot of talk that won’t turn out to be as bad as they always seem to want to make it out to be. But, if sedition radio and I are off the air today, that’s why. I’d much rather have a couple feet of snow.

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY is in effect until 10 this morning for Cheyenne, Kit Carson, Yuma Prowers, Bent, Las Animas and Baca counties. Wind chill readings were in the -20 plus range overnight. It’s cold too in the mountain valleys where temperatures near 25 below zero were recorded.:eek:

A friend’s son-in-law was just notified that he won’t be home in Feb from Iraq, the new date is August. His bride is heartsick. And to think he thought he was done with his service before he even went to Iraq. thanks to stop-loss and rummy, 👿 that was not to be.

I was listening to my MLKJr CD this morning and seriously weeping. This speech that travis just put here is not on it but I notice that it is popping up here and there and it does not help me feel much better. He could have said it this week.

I read my 4 1/2 year old daughter a book about MLK. I cried my eyes out. Thank goodness the book was short.

Yeah, I should listen to the speech again too. I wasn’t able to hear it completely because I became feed-up with trying to tune out the teeth-grindingly awful, horrible sound of the furnace, which I’m no more than four feet away from here in the dungeon.The low temperatures in Seattle have put that machine into over-drive.
I’ll try and put the MLK speech on my Creative Zen and after the Diane Rehm’s show I’ll listen without interruption- hopefully.
