No major ice storm here yesterday – mostly just a lotta goddamn rain. I guess we dodged the bullet, since a lot of other people from Buffalo to Albany apparently lost power. Seems to have cooled off a bit, and we’re even supposed to get a little snow. Not much, though. School officially starts up again today, and I’m already way behind. How the hell did that happen?

Before the show started, I snuck in a blog question to Sam regarding Marc’s Letterman appearance which he decided read over the air. I tried to provoke the two of them into an argument by mentioning Sam’s relative youth, but it did not really go anywhere. Alas, too much other things in the news to discuss.

Good Morning. :joe: Well, looks like my wish has come true. I don’t have to stay at this crappy ass job for much longer. A woman I was working for, who recently had a baby, has offered me $21/hr to come back to work for her. She says she has tons of work coming up and doesn’t have the energy to look for help or train help. She has been flakey in the past, though, she can be a big talker. Not about money but she doesn’t have to work every single day, like i do, so she hasn’t been so organized about lining up the work. She said when there’s a lag in the faux finish work, I could work at the office. I’ll have to drive a lot again and listen to her complain a lot 🙄 But she has a good sense of humor and i do like her despite the complaining.

All this snow and cold is not normal for the Denver Boulder area .. Most of the time the winter is very dry with temps in the 30’s at night and the 50s in the day time.. The wind usually blows Hurricane force gales in March and we get a couple of really wet snows in April.. They say that when the rest of country is turning green in the spring Colorado turns white instead.
CU Boulder has a reputation as a party school and if Kat’s son expects to go skiing every weekend he may put Kat in the poor house.
In reality the University is probably not much different than any other big State University 😮
