It was cool of Sam to interview Franken on his show today and acknowledge Franken’s contributions to progressive talk. AAR needs to do cross-promotion and I hope its hosts will never be in lock-step but always show respect to each other.
Franken is no Wellstone, but if he is elected to the Senate from

I think AAR made a tremendous difference. The most important thing it did was made us realize that there were many on the left. Knowing that, it made sense to support, work for and finance candidates.

I sort of disagree that Al’s show built AAR.. I think their Drive time and evening shows did it. Shows like MS, Randi, The Majority Report and Mike Malloy. Like I have said many times I really don’t believe most people get to listen to radio at work so the daytime shows were primarily heard by the liberals lurking around the house .. Now… Al’s monetary contributions may reflect an entirely different story . 😮 😯

Air America Radio, the liberal news and talk radio network, has won bankruptcy court approval to sell its assets at an auction Friday, starting with a $4.25 million bid from a consortium of purchasers formed by the chairman of SL Green Realty Corp.

Comet McNaught Over New Zealand

Explanation: Comet McNaught is perhaps the most photogenic comet of our time. After making quite a show in the northern hemisphere in mid January, the comet moved south and developed a long and unusual dust tail that dazzled southern hemisphere observers starting in late January. Comet McNaught was imaged two weeks ago between Mount Remarkable and Cecil Peak in this spectacular image taken from Queenstown, South Island, New Zealand. The bright comet dominates the right part of the above image, while the central band of our Milky Way Galaxy dominates the left. Careful inspection of the image will reveal a meteor streak just to the left of the comet. Comet McNaught continues to move out from the Sun and dim, but should remain visible in southern skies with binoculars through the end of this month.

I remember in the mountains, the Hale-Bopp Comet was making a wide beautiful appearance and as it’s white flaming crystals lit the dark, star filled sky. In the middle of the dark night a yellow-flaming meteor from the Perseids Meteor Shower flared across the parallel of the comet. In the lower middle of this sight was the 7 sisters, The Perseids shining brightly, like diamonds in the sky. ❗ MAGIC ❗ I did an oil pastel drawing, now hanging in my office. The sight was amazing. 🙁 :bow: of Awe ❗
