Looks like our wonderful government is supporting the troops by punishing our wounded soldiers who have live living in rat and cockroach infested conditions. Sounds about right. Seems like it’s about time for a surge – on the White House.

😮 frigging a man! i am having so many problems connecting to some damn dns server! what the hell is a dns server! ugh does anybody know if that is my computer or my isp or websites i try to go to because that is what it keeps telling me everytime my internet connection fails!
so if i cant connect to a dns server would that be sprints fault is what am basically asking…… the number for the dns server my computer gives me is diffferent than the one my xbox has so i am confused i wanted to try to change the dns number thing on my computer to match my xox since it still goes online when my computer fails……
:paranoid: maybe freds head exploded while he was at work listening to C-SPAN or even worse what if fred got in trouble for checking to see if my :boobs: site was working……
:paranoid: speak blog speak!
fine i am going to kill germans……
or get killed anyway back to the trenches……
:reaper:
:tinfoil: maybe the blog is breaking peoples internets and forcing them to go take real action……
I’m leaving Florida by the end of the year. Seriously.
I have had it with the inbred christofascist bigoted redneck assholes who comprise a large percentage of the population of this state.
Unfortunately, I have no clue as to where to go where it will be less annoying. Parameters for a future state are:
1) Snow sucks. This effectively eliminates the Northeast, Midwest and much of the Mid-Atlantic. I already did the Midwest earlier in life anyway.
2) Red states suck. Sorry, Utah and Arizona.
3) California is still on the table, but it’s a fall-back option, as I probably can’t make enough money to live there unless I become Stephanie Miller’s boy toy. And I don’t think she’s in the market for one.
4) I didn’t forget Hawaii, but if I can’t afford Cali, no way I could go island.
So how is Oregon this time of year, gypsy? 😀 Because I think that’s the corner I just painted myself into, unless anyone has another idea.
:joe: :joe: :joe: :joe: 😮 😮 😯 😯
:reaper: :reaper: :sheep: le
I’ll take up some of the slack with the light posting.
Whatever happened to Jill Pike on the Young Turks/Young Jerks/Young Turds show?
Did she go bye-bye like Maron and Riley’s erstwhile British sidekick Siouxie Sue?
 i hope she doesnt end up reduced to giving blowjobs in bathroom stalls for coke or anything……
I think the Turks replaced her with some dudes named Jesus and JJ
Kevin M- Why limit your choices to the US? There are other places, too.
Morning / Evening :yinyang:
But Oregon isn’t part of the US.
Doesn’t Thom Hartmann refer to his town as the “People’s Republic of Portland” ?
Kev…how about New Orleans?
There should be some expansion there as the rich folks take over…but for now you can probably get a good trailer.
Everyone around here is going to north and south carolina for the lifestyle and the cheaper-ness
then there is hotlanta…you can check with Kat…and Birmingham, which Nick seems to love…
I cant stand the heat and I love the northeast…
I would just avoid TX and OK, and probably most parts of AK…
I love MT but its too cold for you….and I hear that Nebraska is great.
Well….. I don’t see anything newsworthy this am
except McInsane is going to announce he is going to run for presidork
:yuck: :yuck: :barf: :crap: :fustrate: :paranoid:
Hartmann can’t be accused of being too dumb. He knows how to flunk physicals — he just made a mistake of not developing a pinoidal cyst.
http://www.wweek.com/editorial/3315/8570/
:barf: thats newsworthy?
AridZona is supposed to have a “growth economy”.. I keep hearing their governor telling every one thats the case .. Its a lot like a Florida with no water :paranoid:
Correction: Pilonidal cyst

Oooh, Melina. New Orleans is a great idea. no snow, red state/blue city, not too pricey. :smack: I should of thought of it.
I wonder if these left sided talkers are aware that they wage physiological warfare on people when they keep pointing out all these problems without suggesting any solutions.. its a lot like telling a heard of sheep that a wolf pack is in the pasture.. the sheep keep milling around bleating but get eaten anyhow. :yuck: :yuck: :rant1:
 should have thought of it…… yep
Yesterday Fat Heady sounded like the DLC had not paid him for January yet . 😮 .What he said concerning the lack of response on the part of the demodorps was kind of surprising .. :paranoid:
I don’t see how any duty in the Air farce can be considered dangerous duty.. The naval air coups on the other had is pretty dangerous if you fly off aircraft carriers .. The biggest danger in the Air force is standing to close to your radar antenna or getting sucked into one of those big turbofans … or.. with rethugs in charge having your airplane fall apart in flight . 😮 😮
:fu: fat heddy!
You know, Fred. We have had no problem with water here in Arizona even though we waste it. In the more than 20 years I have lived here, we have never had to ration water, never. If we can stop some major developers from building in areas where there is very little water(Kingman), then we should be good for another 100 years.
Kevin,Oregon is beautiful! But make sure you have a job before you move there. The job situation there is horrible. It was for me anyways. It’s not too hard to find a job here in Az. But it won’t pay that well. There are many cheap rentals around here now. People bought too many houses they couldn’t flip. I’m seeing 4 bdrm Mcmansions going for $1000-$1200 per month. But they are way the hell out in Queen Creek and Gilbert. Not so close into town and commuting has gotten pretty bad round here. But we have light rail being built as we speak!
I’d love it if you moved here Kevin but summers are pretty hellish. Having a pool really helps. :hot:
Hey Sean, a DNS (Doman Name Service – or System) server is kind of like a telephone book. It’s easier for humans to remember names of websites (like, say, cnn.com) than it is IP addresses. Computers need to know the IP address, though. So, when your web browser requests cnn.com, it needs to get the IP address from the DNS server. It’s like when you look up Joe Smith’s phone number in the phone book.
Most often, your Internet connection is set up for DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), where, when you connect to the network, your computer sayd, “hey, I’m here, and I need an IP address. Any DHCP servers out there?” And the DHCP server says, “OK, dude, you can have 192.168.1.105.” or whatever. And your computer says, “cool.” Generally,n you not only get an IP address, but your computer is also set up to get the DNS server address and the default gateway (that’s the place that your computer will send any IP packets that aren’t destined for a computer on you own local network if you have one) at the same time.
Now, if you have a router for sharing Internet access, the router will be both a DHCP client (get an IP address an DNS information from the ISP), and a DHCP server (give IP addresses to the computers on you local network). It can also act as a DNS server (basically, you ask it for an IP address, and it asks the ISP’s DNS server).
So, you need to look at your connection, and see what the DNS server is, and then find out from Sprint what it should be. Usually, there are a couple, in case one is down.
You can try pinging the IP address of the DNS server, and see if it’s there, or if it’s really slow or whatever. There are some public ones you can try, too, though you may not have a lot of luck with them, depending.
Check out this bargain! http://phoenix.craigslist.org/apa/286460768.html
Oh, this and netstumbler, and you should be all set for a little war driving.
so basically my computer is having trouble talking to sprints servers then…… i noticed my computer and xbox are using different dns numbers so that would explain one working and the other not……
:yippee: i can download episodes of the sarah silverman show onto my xbox!
 i wanna move there krista!
Come on DOWN to the desert! :hot:
i should be there for a week later this month!
Okay, I won’t be moved into my place yet though.
🙄
:pup: its been working for a couple hours now!
Kevin, I hear New Mexico is nice.
New Orleans might be a chancy move. There is a big housing problem there and it actually isn’t cheap, at least by the standards that they were used to. There is a lot of work (not sure exactly what you do) but no place for workers to live. You are close enough to go check it out (often!). Remember that it does get oppressively hot in the summertime
A lot of people here in Cali have headed to Nevada. It is still reasonable and is growing.
If you were to head to NC or SC, make sure to go to a bluer location.
I don’t have to go to work today.
Yes, Albuquerque is a neat town. I really liked it a lot when i was there last summer. It’s kinda funky. PLUS, it’s the hometown of our underdog hero, Marc! :yippee:
querque is pretty cool!
Glad to see fred…I was just lighting a candle for Druid late last night.
Well Kevin, Washington is nice but this year the snow has been trouble. I was going to drive over the pass today but I think not…
What kind of work are you looking for?
😯 i am supposed to drive the pass in two nights
Kevin,
It’s probably a mistake to look at states rather than specific areas within states.
I live in Red Hook, Brooklyn, where conservatives are an endangered species. My daughter, Jenn, moved upstate to Goshen and discovered, to her horror, a hotbed of Rethugs. PJ says Syracuse has a long liberal history. NY is discribed as a liberal state but that doesn’t mean everywhere in NY. So be careful.
Did you ever hear from Kucinich (sp?) about his prolife/prochoice issues?
what snoqualmie sean?
:penguin:
I thought you were heading to california?
Yeah, it really depends on what you want. If you think city life is the way to go, then you don’t want to come here. If your idea of rush hour is an extra five minutes in your commute, and if you like hills and trees and green things, and being half an hour drive away from the middle of nowhere, then this is the place to be. The older I get, the more I appreciate it. I really couldn’t give a crap for “clubs” or “shopping,” and if I want to go to NYC once every ten years or so, it’s only a few hours away. My wife grew up in NYC, and feels very at home here – and doesn’t miss the big city a bit.
ABC News’ Jake Whitman Reports: In today’s Washington Times, Ralph Z. Hallow reports that sponsors of the Conservative Political Action Conference, which begins today in Washington and brings together “thousands of conservative leaders and grass-roots activists,” say Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., “has ‘dissed’ organizers by attempting to schedule a private reception for attendees after rejecting invitations to speak at the event.” http://washingtontimes.com/national/20070301-122231-3780r.htm
“‘It was a classical McCain move, dissing us by going behind our backs,’ said William J. Lauderback, executive vice president of the American Conservative Union.”

just left cali going back soon then to visit krista for a week!
If Giuliani were to win the Repug nomination would that force the right wing to go for a third party candidate and would it destroy the Repug appeal to “values” voters.
Giuliani is not just prochoice, he nominated liberal judges in NY, he’s been married 3 times, dressed in drag and has real live gay friends.
It would certainly be interesting. My guess is that the hardcore wingnuts would probably just stay home, unless somebody like a Pat Buchanan or a Pat Robertson jumped in there as the Conservative Party candidate, in which case, they’d vote for them. If it’s Hillary v. Rudy, the negative campaign ads might actually get pretty entertaining. I hope they tear each other up in the primary, and wind up nominating some Konservative that only appeals to the foaming at the mouth wingnuts, but has no real shot.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Democratic nomination shakes out, too. Right now, Obama sure has a lot of juice. I just wonder if he’s got staying power. Richardson probably has the deepest resume, but I don’t know that that’ll get him anywhere.
I wonder if Gore would wind up being Energy Secretary or something like that.
It’s all quite a long ways away, still. There’s just nobody that seems to have a chance of winning that I’m very excited about.
Evening all.
Albuquerque is nice, it also explains Maron’s disinterest in professional sports.
There ain’t any down there!
Anyone heard from cnick?….big weather and death in his state but Im not sure how close it is to Birmingham
Haven’t heard from Nick in a while. I’ve got his email if you want it Melina.
nah…I have it. hes been pretty busy sowing some wild oats, I think.
Its a little out of my realm. But I hope he is OK….
Problem with those southern states are the freaky destructive storms!
So, I’m faux finishing Vince Lombardi’s nephew’s house. He’s a total control freak! And he has Bill O’ Rile Me books :yuck: He’s been mostly nice but pretty meddling. The painter got so annoyed by him he went off on him on the phone and in an email. :slap:
I see the redness of Arizona when I paint these houses. Otherwise, I hang out with mostly artist and musician types and i live in a college town so it seems more liberal than it probably is.
I think Az is becoming more liberal. With so many people moving here, it just has to be more liberal than 20 years ago.
Vaporware.
I had some friends in college that had something like that they called “The Electric Teacher” :bong: :bong: That was around the time of “Hands Across America” and a friend was having a party called “Beer Cans Across BJ’s Apartment” 😆
Kristapea, did you rent the house and pool?
I’m going to sign the lease on the pool place tomorrow. :yippee: 😯
OMG! There are over 300 Craigslist postings for today, alone for rentals in the Phx area. And there are a lot of awesome deals. Although most of them are Mcmansions on the outskirts of town.
:rofl2: somebody changed ed schultz name for the xm readout to ed shtultzits fixed now but i got a chuckle out of it!
