So, how long before our boy Alberto is sent packing? Prior to Rummy’s rather abrupt departure, I’d have thought there was no way dubyas would give him the boot, but now, I’m not so sure. I guess I’d like him to linger a bit longer and eat up a few more news cycles before he decides to spend more time with his family. And if Ginsburg or Souter or somebody happens to croak in the next year or so, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Judge Gonzalez on the Supreme Court. I figure Lieberman will support him, if nobody else.

Of course, whether big Al hit the road or not, it’s all meaningless unless the spying and the torture and the unlawful searches and seizures are all repealed, and habeas corpus is restored and reaffirmed. And it’s time to start working on impeaching Cheney and throwing Rove in prison, too. If there’s any time left, they go after Bush, too.
