Gee, dubya threw a little bit of a hissy fit last night, didn’t he? You know, if I could ask these assholes questions, I’d ask how come good, god-fearin’ Christians are terrified of swearing an oath – in public – to their God, that they will tell the truth. I mean, lying is a sin (a big one, too – bearing false witness and all that; I don’t claim to be an expert, but I believe that’s one of those commandment thingies they’re always whining about), and they’re all a bunch of fucking holier-than-thou, party of God types, so you’d think they’d be chompin’ at the bit to get out there and rub their greasy palms all over the good book (among other things). Hell, let ’em handle a few snakes and speak in tongues, if it’ll make ’em happy (give ’em some crystal meth and gay hookers, too, for all I care). I guess that’s why they’re always in such a freakin’ hurry to say “b-b-b-b-but Clinton lied under oath.” Yeah, and you assholes know you’re gonna lie, so you refuse. Buncha hypocrites. The only thing worse than a hypocrite and liar is a coward. And you chickenhawk motherfuckers are the biggest bunch of lying hypocrite cowards this country has ever seen. I say, if Rove and Miers refuse to testify in public under oath, hold Bush responsible. Impeach him, convict him, and then throw his ass to the International Criminal Court (just make sure Cheney goes with him).
On the bright side, Al Gore is gonna testify today at a joint hearing of House Energy and Commerce Committee and the House Science and Technology energy and environment subcommittee, and later on, before the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. Hopefully it’ll all be on C-SPAN. Imagine if President Gore were two years away from ending his second term. What a different world we’d be living in. Peace, prosperity due to major investments in green technology, and people like Ralph Nader sniping at him for not doing enough. Imagine, a President not doing enough good, rather than one doing too much evil.
Have a nice day.
First THREE days in a row? Wow.
Good morning, boys and girls. Our word for today is SUBPOENA. Can you say it with me? SUB PEE NAH. Sure, I knew that you could.
Do you know what a subpoena is? It’s a legal procedure that is used to drag nasty boys and girls like our little friends Karl and Harriett into court and make them swear to tell the truth about the horrible things that they have done.
Okay, so our little friend Karl isn’t so little. But you get the idea. Right, boys and girls?
The hard part is that Bad King Chimpy doesn’t want his little friends Karl and Harriett to talk about the horrible things they have done, because they might also talk about the horrible things that he and his Uncle Dickhead have done.
Do you know what we say to Bad King Chimpy, boys and girls?
TOUGH SHIT. Say it with me. TOUGH SHIT.
Sure, I knew that you could.

Bill Press is a bit of a nebbish. He seemed proud of the fact that he spends all his vacation time looking for loose change on bar floors. Apparently it netted him over $200 last year. I can picture him combing the beach with a metal detector.

Bush says advisers will not take part in ‘show trials’
WASHINGTON – President George W Bush has categorically stated that he will not allow his advisers to take part in what he terms are Senate “show trials.” Bush said his advisers will testify, but only in private and not under oath.
He’s trying to bully his way out of this.
“Show trials” referring to Stalin?
Incredible language from those who bristle so much at the mention of the ‘f’ word (fascist) or the ‘n’ word (nazi) or the name ‘Hitler” if it is aimed at them.

The fossil of an ancient amphibious reptile with a crocodile’s body and a fish’s tail has been unearthed in Oregon. Scientists believe the creature’s remains were transported by geologic processes nearly 5,000 miles away from where it originally died more than 100 million years ago.

Remember that statistic next time Fox apologists talk about all the independents and Democrats who supposedly watch Fox News:
Fox News viewers supported George Bush over John Kerry by 88 percent to 7 percent. No demographic segment, other than Republicans, was as united in supporting Bush. Conservatives, white evangelical Christians, gun owners, and supporters of the Iraq war all gave Bush fewer votes than did regular Fox News viewers.
Democrats made the right choice in ditching the Fox News debate, and hopefully the CBC will make the same right choice.

Speaking of statistics, I just heard on the radio that, despite out pitifully slow start, we got more snow than anybody else in the country (with a population of at least 100,000), again (sof ar). Not that that’ll impress our neighbors to the north, who got more snow in one storm than we got all year.

Maybe the Fox apologists are including in their “stats” the comedians who watch Fox for material. Stephanie Miller usually gets at least a couple of segments a day just from O’Reilly and Hannity.
:rofl2:
Gore has been proven to have won. Why can’t we just say bush is invalid, can no longer be Trusted, A TREASONOUS LIAR, and should therefore be released to face charges thus now be exchanged IMMEDIATELY with The True President? Honestly is there Logic for why we can’t do this? We are Americans!

Well I just got my copy of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. so I will be enjoying the gaming goodness for the next couple of days or so, but I’ll try to check in once in a while.
The following is pretty bad.
Los Angeles has a nationally syndicated talk show host named Hugh Hewitt. He recently wrote a book on Mitt Romney. So wanting to sell more books, Hewitt gets on the radio and asks his listeners to create YouTube “commercials” for his book.
Look at this beauty of a commercial (its only 20 seconds long):

was there any good news today at all?
Did anyone get any answer from AAR?
Do we know if Stinton is still there?
WTF is this crap with Delay crawling out of his hole…is that the best they can do???
This is unbelievable…
You go on the road for one day with day old podcasts and everythign goes to heck.
Actually, I had a radio signal up towards Eastern LI, but it has Hartmann and I didnt want to fall asleep at the wheel…they were discussing something like medicare D and the people calling in were so clueless about medicare, medicaid, and any part of that raw deal….
If I croak first, burial will be on the following trash pickup day.
I dunno PJ, if there’s not a new thread in a week, we’d send Seaniesean to check on you.
pjsauter , thank you for posting that new “thread” for AAR. It is nice to know I am not the only one. I was trying to find the time to ask someone ; – ) , but it was low on my “to do” List, so I would just go Mad ๐ก . :rofl2: . But thank you. A wee bit of sanity is 8) cool.
