Jesus died for your sins. Deal with it!
Speaking of sins, on Press the Meat batshit crazy Kate O’Beirne (please, tell me that’s her married name, and she’s not really Irish; it’s bad enough we’re stuck with O’Reilly, Buchanan, and Colin Quinn) joins Timmy Potatohead, along with David Gregory, Judy Woodruff, and Chuck “I never met a Republican I didn’t like Todd. I hate to be superficial, but when I look at Todd, the word “asswipe” jump jumps into my head.
Over at CBS, bush buddy Bobby Schieffer is joined by Mike “Huckleberry” Huckabee, who thinks he’s a presidential candidate, WaPost Deputy Editorial Page editor, Colbert I. King, and Mike Allen, of the perpetually inaccurate (and basically worthless) collection of hacks known as Politico.com.
On Fux News Sunday, weaselface Wallace hosts Chuck and Newt (why Newt? I mean, Chuck is at least a US Senator, Newt’s just a disgraced hypocrite with a really stupid name), plus Bill Buckley’s boy Christopher.
Over at the Goebbels network (home of the “Pelosi’s Syria Visit a Felony?” headline), George Snufalufagus hosts Carl Levin, and Krazy Jon Kyl, plus John and Teresa Kerry on their new book “This Moment on Earth,” (also known as, “Hey, if I write a pro-envionemnt book, will everybody like me the way they like Al Gore again?” and Walter Isaacson on Einstein’s faith (and presumably how he’d probaly not have tried to ban science in schools).
Wolf Blitzer’s Late Emission includes impotent Republican Sen. Arlen Specter, disgusting Republican Sen. Joey Lieberman, Tommy “I got about as much chance becoming President as Mike Huckabee” Thompson, and Vincent Gardenia in drag, Madeleine Albright.
Later, on 60 Minutes, Scott Pelley talks to straight talkin’ (straight out of his ass), brave walkin’ (as long as he’s guarded by 100 soldiers and a few attack helicopters), maverick John McCain. Then Morley Safer doesn a story on Rich Berman, the brave lobbyist who crusades against such evils as animal rights, healthy food, labor unions, and Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Finally, Steve Kroft does a story on success of the French Nuclear Power program (all that, and fast trains too? Bloody frogs).
But of course, we need to remember what’s truly important on this most sacred of days. The Sopranos return tonight at 9:00 on HBO.
I’m gonna go get a drink, cuz I’m firsty!! :40:
[insert your own bad pun groan here.]
Good morning, geniuses! How is everyone today? I don’t know about anyone else, but now the fact that even the fundies in my neighborhood have bunnies and eggies in their windows doesn’t baffle me anymore, not since I watched South Park this week and found out about the Hare Club for men. 😆

Boston Globe has an interesting article on Regent Law school, the school from which Monica Goodling graduated with the notion that there is a constitutional right against testifying.

Happy bunny day!
I love the easter bunny
We colored so many eggs and I think that Will is gonna post on my blog this morning with pics of his very special eggs…
If he does post, Im gonna expect comments from all of you so that he sees the real “fun” of blogging!!
Im a liitle bit more happy today because…well…just because its a little bright outside and cold as hell…and the birds are all eating fresh sugarcane that I picked up in chinatown….
Im just getting used ot the idea of no AAR and thinking of joining Kim Komando’s Klub for podkasts…..
Good morning :joe: So are Mai Tai’s Easterish? I got this bucket of Mai Tai mix that you just add water and booze and stick it in the freezer and you have frozen Mai Tai drinks. I got little umbrellas too! And a floaty, but I think the water might be too cold for me unless I go do something to get all sweaty first. :hot: It’s spose to be 87 today. I usually don’t feel like swimming until it gets over 100.
G’Morning and Egg Day to ALL :yippee: :omg: :yippee:

Try airamerica.com, not airamericaradio.com (though they really should have it aliased so that either one will work).
But we now know that they’re using usa.net for their business e-mail hosting.
pj…if one were to have an external notebook cd/dvd player…portable that powers through the usb or firewire, is it important to have it be dvd rw as well as dvd/cd rw….seems like when the dvd becomes rw then it gets very expensive in the portables…..I cant remember if Ive ever written a dvd here….cant I save all media files on cd?…or would I maybe need to save onto DVD/….this would only be on the road….of course, I could come home and download any movie or whatever onto the main computer.
Also this laptop has a SD slot and that media is really cheapo…
OF COURSE THEY DIDNT…fuck them!! Why should they care if their longtime fans can reach them???
They obviously dont care what we think…
so, yes…Bernstein was bullshitting….
I am gonna not get mad about this again..
McLaughlin is on…ISSUE ONE!!!!
can i go to jail for sending a box o’ dog shit to AAR’s new owners?

I sent an e-mail to Danny Bernberg using both addies and copied Mo Green at both addies and the only one that has bounced back (so far) was the one dbernstein@airamericaradio.com.
I am guessing dbernstein@airamerica.com and mgreen@airamerica.com are working and falling on deaf inboxes. selberg@airamerica.com might also get you some quality ignoring as well.

I figure that they are about as done with us as we are with them and are looking for a better kind of audience. :sheep: :sheep: :sheep:
BTW, this guy does a 2 hour radio show you can listen to here every Sunday morning 9-11 PDT on KGO or on archive for 24 hours after broadcast . I think he is great and would make a good AAR host. Problem is, he used to be a comedian and is also a solo performer.
Never mind.
wvmc3d , re 17 I listened to him in the mountains. I like him. Who am I listening to now regarding “Critical. Mass”?

A.I.V. Lights ….. Journey
The osprey are back on Long Island, sprucing up their nests from last year, and getting ready for this year’s crop of new babies. They nest atop platforms that have been built on telephone poles along the shoreline.
Some of the nests are quite competently built with deep hollows for eggs and gawky babies. Others are but a few twigs that somehow manage to keep the family together, though I don’t know how. They remind me of pigeon nests which are often a plastic fork and a cigarette butt on someone’s window sill.
This morning a harbor seal decided to sun herself on a rock, right off the beach. According to the local paper, seals are becoming more common on the rocks and beaches around here.
Hey …Will posted his first blog entry with his eggs at RIPCoco…have a looky and leave him comments.
vern, try the msgtag program…then you know if the person ignoring you has actually opened your message…its a cool free little app and I love it! Of course you can upgrade to the pay version if you want to go stealth, like me.
Though it seems to me that Bernstein (thats Dave, actually, but Danny is apt) isnot openeing his mail anymore after his little go round with me.
His momentary “wanting to explain in full” seems to be over.
Sunshine Jim!! Good to see ya….as soon as the ground thaws Im planning on getting back to nature myself…though it may be in thr form of building an aviary rather than gardening…too many freakin’ deer here…..
Here Sue??
and speakign of nests…I could burst from anticipation…but the conures will NOT come out to eat so I cant peek to see if we have eggs.
I figure that I DESERVE at least one egg…right?
They apparently lay one per day up to 4 or 5…but it could take any amount of time and they could also be duds….eekkkk!
I’m on Shelter Island, today, Melina.
When I lived in Santa Cruz there was the problem of the seals gathering below the boardwalk restaurants and gorging themselves on the food dropped by litterers….they were considered pest by some. I loved them!
We actually have some in the maritime center up here and everything there is from local waters, so if they are the brown/grey/spotty ones with the big bellies then they are common up this way and maybe just spreading out….though I haven’t seen any in the hudson…and often we get some slightly tropical animals in the current depending on how the warm water is flowing….but we can expect more and more of these more rare animals to be around more heavily as the planet warms and they lose their habitats.
My father’s girlfriend is all worried abotu a new parasite in southern Calif thats from Mexican immigrants and actually killing people…sounds like a Fox news story to me…but she is very liberal…shes the Camejo (of related to Nader’s running mate fame)
ah…isnt it great up there…thats where I got the 2 new conures who are nesting .
I was thinking of going up there again. The guy who I got them from owns a bed and breakfast with a salon in it….
the ferry guys gave me a button with the date of Bush’s last day…because they liked my bumper stickers…cant get better than that!
Do you have a place up there?
D-6er,
That would be Brian Copeland himself. He may be a little MOR moderate for some tastes around here. He may also have to play it that way given the station he is on right now. He has been very successful with his autobiographical one man show and book and will possibly developing a movie and television version with Rob Reiner.
The Critical Mass situation is starting to boil over again here. He obviously is against it as it now rolls as are many. What can one say? Those crazy bikers exhibit Arrogance, Attitude and Vigilance. Too many of them are punks (not in the good sense) and *holes.
I really wonder what the ‘pleasant surprise’ new host AAR is going to spring on us. I cannot imagine any radio veteran who will make anyone happy. I can see them giving Flanders and Pashman ( :reaper: ) a week night slot.
Now it’s time to go put some devil in those eggs.
Buon Pasqua, Y’all and Geaux, Tiger!

really…Pashman and McDonald do a great show together….I’d listen to that.
If you mean a CD burner and DVD player, if you don’t want to burn DVD’s with it, then, no, it’s not important. Especially if you have a DVD burner on another computer. And a dual layer internal dvd burner costs about $30, so it’d be pretty cheap to add to a desktop PC if you don’t have one.
Melina, My parents bought a house here 40 years ago and I’ve inherited it.
you are so lucky sue….I should be looking for a summer rental up there. The drive is just pretty horrid from here.
Thats like this place…my granddad bought it in the 40’s
OK…Im going out on Bunny rounds to sick Ben’s place and to see my firemen who always work holidays (I guess its overtime pay?)
Oh, PJ…yeah…the thing is, do I need a DVD burner on the road?…How far do I get really?
If I go to cape cod for a week, its a long time….
But I should have a CD burner and a DVD player…right?…as far as just driving around.
Im trying to be more mobile and also be able to take work down to Hi’s place…though I have the feeling that for that meeting Ill be lugging the biggest screen I can carry!
My dvd burner on my old Dell laptop no longer works so I just do it on my iMac. I use DVDs to save lots of large music DLs, It takes some swapping out of external HDs but it works for me for now.
I guess I am getting another iMac hand me down G4 soon so I am going to be a regular Rick Wakeman/Keith Emerson here soon. I need a keyboard rack.

Not speaking of talented, I think I’m going to skip out on my David Sedaris ticket for tomorrow night and go to this open mic I checked out last week. I… uh… I think… I think I’m gonna go up and say stuff. That I wrote. Stuff that was written. By me. That’s intention is to be funny.

So Kristen, do we get to see/hear this stuff someday? It’s no fun being funny if you can’t share with your friends.
Or at least give us a capsule review and let us know how it went. They’re forcing me to do sort of a Toastmasters thing at work for the next couple of months, so I know how it feels to stand up in front of people and feel exposed. So to speak. They haven’t actually made me take my clothes off yet. :omg:

I apologize to all the readers of this blog, and especially Krista, for the preceding post. Apparently the Easter Bunny and Jesus conspired to put an overdose of Viagra in my beer last night. I will try to hose myself down before posting again.
(I meant my preceding post, not Vern’s.)
Although as long as I still have the buzz going, I must concur with pj’s opinion on Yvonne DeCarlo. Now I understand why I enjoyed watching The Munsters so much when I was a kid. :hubba:
pj, You know your minions never ask much from the playground master but, as you mentioned on Friday, could you perhaps perform some kind of capture on Sammy Cam this week just in case we might want something for the record or perpetuity?
I also cannot imagine that PG24 would not be making some kind of record, audio or video, of her open mike outing. Hopefully, she will be letting us enjoy it somewhere in the future.

hey guys…Im driving round with an actual laptop connection via a verizon card and typing on a laptop….thinking of how much more worried Vern is about to be!
Do you often find yourself burning DVD’s? Personally, I don’t. Only to back up a DVD, or sometimes to make DVD’s out of stuff I’ve recorded on the DVR.
But if you often archive stuff on DVD, or if you make DVD’s for other people a lot, then I reckon you’d need one.
How much of a difference in price are we talking? I mean, here’s one for $69.99.
You could also consider getting a usb drive enclosure (say, something like this one for $27, though you should shop around), and sticking an internal 5.25″ cd/dvd burner in it (which you can get for $30 – 40, if not less with a rebate). .
Good afternoon all, just got back from easter dinner with my brother and his familia. My niece relayed a story which I have to share, she’s goes to Georgetown -did I mention she got a scholarship-anyway she’s going to the local whole foods which happens to be near DC’s toniest sushi place. A large limo is actually parked on the sidewalk so she has to cut through an alley by the sushi place to get around, when who walks out the side door to to place but our favorite former SEC DEF, Donald Rumsfeld. She recognised him, stops, points at him and yells YOU SUCK RUMMY! Do I even have to explain what a proud uncle I am today. Yes I have much to be thankful for on this holiest of Christian holidays.
Amen

Welcome to the home of forlorn fans of former AAR regulars.
But I think you knew that already.
Hey, Kristin, what happened to your radio show?
You know, gang, there is a lot of pressure on NBC right now to fire Don Imus because of his “nappy headed ho’s” remark. I happen to know of two radio guys, one who just left the biz, the other of whom is being “Miltonized” to Sunday afternoons, either or both of whom would be JUST DANDY in that 6-10 AM slot….

Announcing my new Sunday Show
It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that this week will be the last week of the Sam Seder Show on Air America. As you know, Air America recently came out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy and the new management wants to go in a different direction with the 9-Noon (est) time slot. However, as much as I would like to spend more time with Alberto Gonzales’ family, he will be doing so shortly, freeing me up to do a Sunday afternoon show on Air America Radio. The show is tentatively known as Seder on Sundays and I am excited to get it started.
I am very proud of the three years I have broadcast on Air America Radio. I am particularly proud of the Sam Seder Show. We started the show as AAR was entering bankruptcy, when things around here were pretty hectic and insecure. The Sam Seder juggernaut, as no one but me called us, was able to maintain all of our affiliates that stayed with the progressive format through our bankruptcy. While it’s a bit early to judge, (our first full “book†is out in a couple of weeks) our ratings were looking pretty good and we dramatically increased AAR’s streaming numbers during this time slot. Most importantly, though, was the support and response we received from you, our audience. You’ll never know just how helpful and motivating your comments, calls, emails and letters have been to me and my family and I greatly appreciate it.
I hope all of you will join me when I begin the Sunday show in the next month and a half or so. Of course, I’ll be maintaining this blog and continuing to promise to fix it. ( I mean it this time, I am serious!) I actually have some rather large plans for this site and its offerings but am not prepared to discuss them at the moment.
Anyway, over the next week I’ll be posting more about my plans, this site, Seder on Sundays and reflecting upon the last three years.
My email address is posted in the left hand column of this blog— drop me an email if you want to receive updates in the future. And tune in this week! I really don’t know how I am going to break this to Dewey.

Radio Nation looks like it is going off the air.
Does this mean that Laura Flanders is moving to weeknights?
wvmc3d, thank you, … just to see “Majority” and now “threatened”” with laura :fu: a.i.v. … Save Me … Zero Remy
False alarm, it looks like producer Kristobel is leaving Radio Nation.
I talked to her once and she is quite friendly. Good luck working at NPR. Sorry I won’t be listening.
Making way for Pashman ( :reaper: )
Oh, the guy that does (did) BC died. Died at the storyboard. He was from my area, down in Endicott, NY.
shit, shit, shit….
well, it was a really nice thing for a pretty long time. I cant wait till they anounce what surprises they have in store.
Sam doesnt say how long his sunday show will be.
Jus damned depressing.
So I guess it will be Flanders?
Im not fond of her.
Does that guy who filled in for sam have a regular show?
Maybe Ill podcast that if it exists….
Vern, maybe Ill try that other guy you like….
Hey the pope makes an antiwar statement…but then says that suffering worldwide is trying poople’s faith…well, yeah…I guess that since the archaic teachings of organized religion, and his in particular, causes so much of that pain and suffering…
RIP BC
I think Flanders may just be sitting tight with ( :reaper: ) as her new producer. They need something hot for that time slot against Stephanie and Laura ain’t it. I imagine they have somebody nailed down if Sam has made this announcement.
Of course he ate the Marc Maron egg. It was bound to have the best yolks.
Is it depressing or uplifting that a blog gives me more support than any other group around me?
Andy, Kevin, wvm, Melina, b@b, etc.
i did make a record of tonight’s open mic. An actual record. Waiting for the wax to harden.
No, there’s no record. It went alright. Time went by WAY faster than I thought it would… flashed by. Didn’t get constant raucous laughter but didn’t get complete silence so…
B@B, the radio show got put on hold (by myself) when the school tried to kick me out. Actually, it was a comment from Melina that kinda kicked me in the ass. Said that I really shouldn’t be doing broadcasting and extra shit (not her words) if I’m not doing well with school. Stopped the radio show and the 24 podcast (which was really starting to take off, quality and listener quantity-wise). Oh, I told Maron that when I met him as well. He mentioned Melina and so… yeah.
I’ll talk more about it later… probably. Need to sleep. Also, since this morning I’ve had this odd urge to read the Bible. I’m serious. Strange. Don’t understand it. Not turning into a Christo-Fascist Zombie… still a genius, philosopher queen who pities the progressive utopians with no sense of humor.
Speaking of that, the confirmation of Sam’s show’s demise sucks. Majorly.
Oh yeah, Pashman!
Funny I couldn’t put 2+2 together.
Happy Easter, Seditionists.
Hope you all got to eat some chocolate religious symbols – or a bunny of some type.
I gorged myself silly on chocolate crucifixes and then screamed outloud, Secular Progressive High School Football Rules!
All the best to you this week…and PG…hang in there. Keep up your work and when the time is right we will listen again. Just know that you may have trouble herding cats, but we find our ways back to steal your breath. :cat:
Till then… :sammy:
