Ordinarily, Sundays piss me off (especially when it’s not football season), because all I can think about its that I have to go work the next day. Not today, though, since I have tomorrow off. It’ll be the last day off I get until the fourth of July. But anyway….
On Press the Meat, Timmy Potatohead hosts Bill Richardson (who’s really looking better and better to me as a candidate, though I doubt he’ll win) for the full hour.
At CBS, Bush Buddy Bobby Schieffer has Carl Levin, redneck Jeffy “no the penguin” Sessions, and Kimberly “bull” Dozier.
Over at Fux News Sunday, it’s an all-Republican kinda day for Weaselface Wallace, as he has Mike “Huckleberry” Huckabee, faux moderate Arlen Specter, and the rather disgusting Kay Bailey Hutchison.
On the Goebbels Network, George Snufalufagus hosts U.S. commerce secretary Carlos “don’t call me Alberto” Gutierrez, NJ Senator, Bob Menendez, and some guy named Jim Gilmore, who is apparently one of the forty-seven Republicans running for preseident. Then, at the roundtable, it’s LA Times columnist Ron Brownstein, Donna “it’s people like me that are stopping Al Gore from running again” Brazile, ABC News hack Jake Tapper, and George :jerk: Will. Then we’ll hear from Beth and Michael Belle, whose son, Nicholas, died in Afghanistan on Mother’s Day two years ago at the age of 21.
At CNN, Wolf Bitzer’s Late Emission consists of the always entertaining Charlie Rangel, the ever-closeted Duncan “donuts” Hunter, Senator MBNA Joseph Biden, mouthpiece for the coalition of the willing, Maj. Gen. William Caldwell, Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, and a collection of CNN hacks and professional pontificators.
Later, on 60 Minutes, the hour is devoted to Scott Pelley, who follows around the 1st Battalion of the 133rd Infantry of the Iowa National Guard in Iraq.
No Simpsons, Family Guy, or American Dad tonight. Instead it’s… Fucking NASCAR. Whoo-hoo! There’s also no Sopranos on tonight, but on HBO at nine, it’s the premiere of Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, an adaptation of of the book by Dee Brown, that looks to be very good. I just don’t know if I have the heart to watch it.
Enjoy your Sunday.
