Agreeance with Travis. Gore is doing interviews to sell books. The only way he might get into the race would be if Hillary pulls out early enough for him to get in and pick up the fundraising that would otherwise go to her. Not that they are two peas in a pod, but Gore v. Clinton would seriously implode the DNC.
Hmmmmmmmm…. let me ponder that concept for a while. Because it might not be the worst thing in the world.
Fred, tell me who is going to get elected to anything in this country talking like Noam Chomsky or Alexander Cockburn? Certainly not Mike Gravel, though its nice to hear him say the things that he says.
Of course, Gore’s point would be that there would be a lot more people speaking like Paul and fewer like Rudy if there was a less controlling manipulated media.
And for a candidate for national office to even question how morally pure the good old USA is, would be just dopey. Politics is a dishonest game, because the voters are. We create these people, and many of them are monsters.

Spent last night drinking three drinks as usual. The thing was two were of the strong variety. And I recall more precisely telling a guy that I liked him (which is true)… but don’t recall exactly what the response was back besides “Well, let’s hang out.”
Whatever, I’m still trying to figure out exactly what happened. And I’d be doing the same thing if I hadn’t have been drunk.
And thanks for the support with the open mic. Feel kinda lost about it all right now. Not sure why. Will’ve been doing it for two months next week (for all that’s worth).
fantastic show tonight…Marc is worn out….but even off his game, a small crowd becomes a really fun interactive experience…
great talkative crowd and he was really engaged…very funny.
The 2 other comedians were bad, then better…but just couldnt hold a candle to him….
I’m in a fantastic spot, just by the luck of whatever…really nice room and I’m tempted not to leave here for a good long time…but the little city area is sorta hip in a greenwich village/somerville sorta way…in the newer sense…and it seems like there are lots of little shops and stuff to poke around in.
I miss Will….
Melina forgot to mention what a thrill it was to meet me and how extraordinarily attractive I am.
But all seriousness aside – Marc’s amazing in person. I’m sorry, I got a couple of photos of the club but none of Marc, it felt like he needed some space and I just couldn’t ask. I wanted to say hi from everyone but again I just couldn’t.
Most of it I’d never heard, and then there was all the interaction with the audience, especially the drunk black jewish lady, and some guy he called Oz.
Just got back from the open mic. It went relatively poorly but I’m not expecting much.
Had some really funny conversations with some comics though. That’s progress.
JEALOUS OF PEOPLE SEEING MARON TONIGHT!!!
Though actually, he was mentioned in conversation tonight. People were talking about when NBC or whatever was trying out different hosts for late night and gave Maron a week (I don’t remember this but I believe it happened). Many people commented on how great he was… and then I went into a little “I’m special” feast talking about him.
So yeah…. Sleepy time. And jealous of the mini-maronite meetings going on!

Especially me.
COME ON! I need an ego boost! Let me have this!
Vernon, re 88 the Link does not work for me :knit2:

I only heard the first 1/2 hour of Rachel but a little Angus McFarquar snuck in there.

Guaranteed, this one will cause a double-take.
fantastic show tonight…Marc is worn out….but even off his game, a small crowd becomes a really fun interactive experience…
great talkative crowd and he was really engaged…very funny.
Thanks for the update. Mostly from the standup routine? Or anything politically topical?
Most of it I’d never heard, and then there was all the interaction with the audience, especially the drunk black jewish lady, and some guy he called Oz.
Melina did you get to talk to Marc?
melina stop by here in jersey on the way back to ct!
:pirate: oh pirates…… not so good……

Poof* :smack:
