Lots to do this weekend, and only a crappy two days to get it done. I’ll be lucky if I get the grass cut, do my laundry, and brew a batch of beer. So, I guess I’d better get busy. With the beer.

Tough night last night. Thought that the headline this morning read:
Jason Giambi regrets joining Iraq Study Group.” :sammy:
Well, if Jason Giambi is joining the Iraq Study Group, he has to bring enough steroids for everyone. It’s only fair.
cresttwo and Kevin M … :rofl2: 😆 :rofl2: 😉
That’s the old version of the slingbox, plus it’s a refurb. The new version (Slingbox Pro) is available at Buy.com (and other places, I’m sure), for $169 ($100 more). Supposedly, the new version offers 400% improvement in the video from the old version. I don’t have any experience with either one, except I knew a guy who had the old one, and he liked it. Depends on if you want to watch your tv from your computer. Seems like it’d be OK from your local network, but from the Internet, it seems like you’d need a fairly decent upload speed.
Morning all. :joe:
:cake: :dancers: :pup: :yippee:   :dancers: :dancers: :cake:
Happy birthday Gypsy!!!
By the way last year’s June 23rd MM show was great.
Marc interviewed martha Wainright and the director of I’m Your Man. :cake:
I remember that show. I was listening to it while driving up to Syracuse from DC. Last summer, I was saving up all of the podcasts for the week, and then spending the weekend listening to them while walking around DC or riding the metro. Or they kept me company on those six hour trips home. They made the ride a lot shorter, and actually quite pleasant. I remember hearing that show as I was driving through the Wilkes Barre PA area.
I miss those shows, and the old AAR. I feel as if I’ve lost a friend. Actually, a bunch of friends.
morning gang!
beer? thank gawd for yeast!
🙁
blue, did you see guss?
wow!
slow day on the blog!
Well, it is a beautiful day and even I am headed to the “golf course” in the park for some barbecue. I am guessing it is glorious in a lot of places, esp. on the Left Coast.
I was looking for Elvis doing one of my favorite songs and this popped out.
Oh, yeah, I know the Monterey Summer of Love 40th Anni was last week but here’s another favorite
It must be the plastic Mac.
noon break!
still overcast here, warm though.
out in the shop today.
Beautiful day here. About 65, sunny, very low humidity. Just perfect. Got the grass cut, and brewed up a batch of Russian Imperial Stout. Now I guess I’d better take the dog out to the park.
Wow, must be nice to be able to venture outside in the middle of the day. There’s no one at the dog park now and if there is they’re CRAZY!
it’s 101 on it’s way to 112 :hot:
The heat must be driving EVERYONE in AZ crazy. Or maybe the meth has something to do with it too. Check THIS out:

It’s better to be baked than branded :bong:
And if it’s 112 degrees outside, you’ll be baked whether you :bong: or not! 😀
Yeehaw! That’s me, turnin’ into the skid! :nana:
The swamp cooler is working good though. I have it on low and it’s just fine in here. humidity is like, 7%.
This is your brain in AZ
I hope that didn’t transgress the unwritten law.
That’s why you gotta wear a hat. :pirate: :rabbi: :santacool: :pope: :cold: :priest:
We”re somewhere in eastern Iowa. Nice cows. In frustration I got USA Today paper ’cause I really miss the Times. Front page is a story about Michael Moore. It says that Moore’s Farenheit 9/11 was a typical pushy liberal film that said that Bush’s war on terror was bumbling and corrupt.
It also said that Sicko was one sided in that it did not mention the good things about our health care system but that there was some truth in it.
Like I said, nice cows.

While driving somewhere north of Eugene on highway 99 a heron flew over the car and then later a black sheep ran across the highway. It was all dolled up and had a number attached to it. I had just come from this! :knit:
Oh…I spoke with gypsy today and she is having issues with the free portland wifi and logging into “certain blogs”
She says hi and should be checking in soon.

There’s only one Ricky Hatton, walking along, singing this song, walking in a Hitman wonderland
WOW!!!!!
Worked the Castillo Hatton fight tonight the british fans were awesome. They were singing the above to the tune of winter wonderland.
Hatton early in the fourth laid a nice right into castillos body, shortly thereafter he got knocked in the face and came back with an uppercut that missed its mark. Hatton followed quickly with a right to the body that sent Castillo down on one knee and ended the fight!
Very exciting fight that Hatton dominated he is now my second favorite boxer right behind Vladimir Klitschko.
Start the warped tour next week Bad Religion every day cant wait!
:pup: hey sweet happy birthday gypsy!!!!!
