Oy, back to work tomorrow already, and no Sopranos to get me through the night. At least we have our weekly dose of boobleheads.
On Press the Meat, Timmy Potatohead hosts US Ambassador to Iraq, Ryan Crocker, on to tell us how we’re just about to turn the corner, thanks to Bush’s manly surge. Then it’s WaPost columnist EJ “Poupon” Dionne, Krazy Kate O’Beirne (yet another sad example of what happens when the Irish turn to the dark side), WaPost columnist Eugene Robinson, and flaming asshole, Byron York of the National Review.
Over at CBS, Bush Buddy Bobby Schieffer hosts Mitch “the prick” McConnell, Carl Levin, Li’l Lee Hamilton from the waste of time and money known as the Iraq Study Group.
On Fux News Sunday, Weaselface Wallace boasts an “exclusive” with David Petraeus, who will tell us things ought to be just fin and dandy by the fall (fall of what year, of course, remains a mystery).
Over at Goebbels, George Snufalufagus gets an “exclusive” with Senator MBNA, Joe Biden (tough get there, George), and then sniveling little Lindsey “but I like it in the closet” Graham will be on to whine about whatever Biden had to say. At the roundtable, it’ll be a graduate of the NPR school of hackery, Martha Raddatz, plus David Corn of The Nation and of course George :jerk: Will. Plus, the best president we never really had, Martin Sheen, will be on to talk about restoring the nation’s drug courts.
Over at CNN, looks like the only interesting thing to come out of Wolf Blitzer’s Late Emission this week will be Sy Hersh.
Later, on 60 Minutes, Steve Kroft tells us the story of how over half a billion (with a ‘b’) dollars that was supposed to be used to equip the Iraqi army just kinda up and disappeared. Then Lesley Stahl reports on the clinical trials of a treatment that can make you forget bad stuff (hopefully it’ll be ready for mass distribution by January 2009). And Morley Safer brings us up to speed on what John Daly’s been up to lately.
Happy Father’s Day to all you dads out there.
