Sunday already? Shit, that means I gotta go to work tomorrow. Oh, well, at least I have the Sunday talking heads to comfort me. Speaking of which….
On Press the Meat, it’s Jim Webb, on to kick li’l Lindsey Graham in the mansack (assuming he actually has one), over the failure known as Iraq. Then it’s a rountable, with Mr. Judy Woodruff, Al Hunt, yet another example of what happens when the Irish go bad, Republican “strategist, Mike Murphy, Count Novakula (in a rare daytime appearance; I guess if they give him a blood transfusion he can handle an hour or two in the sun), and Democratic “strategist” (and all-around asshole) Bob Shrum.
Over at Faze the Nation, it’s Natonal Security Adviser Stephen Hadley (must be a tough job, pretending you’re doing something to protect the country, while trying to keep everybody cowering in fear at the same time) Tennessee cracker, Lamar Alexander, Time’s Karen Tumulty (a third-place “worst person in the world” award winner, and runner-up as the female who most looks like John Kerry), and another Tome magazine hack, Dan “got no” Balz.
On Fux News Sunday, weaselface Wallace has recycles Stephen Hadley, and then he’ll berate Carl Levin for a while. Plus, “can the surge succeed?” When in doubt ask a neocon. In this case, it’s the “genius” who came up with the plan in the first place, chickenhawk Fred Kagan.
At the Goebbels network, it’s an all Republican kinda day, as George Snufalufagus hosts Stephen Hadley (again), John”what the hell was Liz thinking” Warner, and the aptly named “Dick Lugar. Plus, at the roundtable, it’s Time Magazine hack, Mr. Claire Shipman, Jay Carney, Mrs Jay Carney, Claire Shipman, Sam :omg: Donaldson and George :jerk: Will.
On CNN…. Fuck CNN! Until they give Michael Moore an apology, CNN is dead to me. I hope Wolf Blitzer’s Late Emission isn’t covered by his HMO.
Later, on 60 Minutes, it’s a buncha friggin’ rerun segments.
Enjoy your Sunday, and don’t waste your time with these idiots. If something good happens, it’ll be on Crooks and Liars.
Ah!
Dog O’clock!
doggers went off when the paperkid
left the paper on the front porch around 4:30…
but we don’t get the paper on sundays! went out a while ago
and the paper was gone… think the paper kid is smoking his shoelaces?
Lady Bird’s Funeral :gate:
I guess the bush boys couldn’t be bothered, or was it fear of Moyers?
Hopefully, the deaths of the bush wives and nancy will be treated with as much indifference but I am guessing a more Diana sort of thing since they are royalty.
Her name was Claudia? Who knew?
melina:
cool story on npr weekend edition about rehabbing parrots :
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=11989027
Good Morning :joe:
Damn roxie, we’re about to have another Winehouse moment :40: if I can find video of a parrot doing “Rehab”.
Actually I was intrigued by the story on the Detroit Cobras.
pj, we haven’t had any new emos lately. I thought for sure we would get a lemon emoticon soon.
Alright, I’m getting sick and tired of Nellie bringing dead birds into the house. Literally, one minute she’s playing with her rubber chicken bone or her jolly ball and the next, I turn around because of a weird smell and there’s a slobbery dead pigeon on my favorite rug, RIGHT BEHIND ME! :fustrate: :holla: :holla: :holla: :holla: :holla: :holla:
How did I not see her bring it in! The doggie door isn’t even 8 feet from where I’m sitting! Plain sight. WTF!
so why was it called “lemon whatever?”
Looks like I’ll be getting a Rug Doctor today. :jerk:
I was wondering that too, Roxie. Is it because they’re puckered old men?
maybe, ya got me,
kp: old purported way to break dogs from killing chickens — take dead chicken & fasten around dog’s neck (wire mesh cage or whatever). let it get really ripe. dog never looks at chickens again.
❓ :yuck: :barf: :pup:
That image has haunted you too, huh Roxie. 😯
Morning Rememberance with Thirl Ravenscroft :rofl2: :rofl2:
Oh boy, I don’t think I’d be able to look at chickens or birds again either. :yuck:
yeah! i like my porno a little more romantic. it would be ok in costumes with soft lighting….very soft lighting!
Yay Jim Webb…catch him of you can! He has balls…
How does Novac even get on TV any more? Shouldnt he be keeping the cot warm in the cell for Cheney?
I doubt that chicken thong would effect my Lola or Angie at all…dogs love dead rotting stuff and would just assume roll in em and take them home to their bed…
Maybe my chihuahuas would be upset, but then even my boy Buck is totally terrified of my lovebird running across the bed and biting his ear.
Its the flapping that gets them…
At the bird store, they make the puppies lay down in a prone position and let the birds walk all over them…they have these huge breed dogs and one person there has a new puppy of the same breed who could care less about the birds, flappy or otherwise.
That was just wrong *
Lemonheads
Sorry :spank:
More edit- Just watching Faze Time’s Karen Tumulty (a third-place “worst person in the world†award winner, and runner-up as the female who most looks like John Kerry) :rofl2:
Watching some reports on fires up at Grand Coulee and thinking about Woody Guthrie and the remembered this Dylan thing still timeless and scarily current.
Happy Sunday, the Ides of July?

On Press the Meat, it’s Jim Webb, on to kick li’l Lindsey Graham in the mansack (assuming he actually has one)
From what I’ve heard, Graham’s mansack might be up for a little manly activity. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Have also heard rumors concerning Fred Thompson’s manliness that so far I have been unable to substantiate. And yes, I’ve seen pictures of his wife. The search for truth continues.
Again, not that there’s anything wrong with that. But I would loooooove to see how the Repigs would try to spin something like that.
“this Dylan thing” 🙁 *poof*
Bush plans to veto the new child health legislation which would extend coverage to more children. He doesn’t like raising taxes and he’s afraid people might take gov’t insurance instead of private insurance.
Bush knows that government is for spying on Americans NOT helping them. What’s wrong with these congress people?

🙁 :fist: 🙁 … A!I!V!
Sue,
I bring back this from bush in Cleveland
I’m a strong believer in medical liability reform. We’ve got a legal system which is driving up the costs of medicine, because docs are practicing defensive medicine and driving good doctors out of practice. And it makes no sense to have a legal system that punishes good medicine. And therefore, I strongly believe that the Congress ought to pass federal medical liability insurance for our doctors and our providers.
We can’t have national health insurance yet his solution to the health care crisis is federal medical liability insurance for the ‘good docs’ and providers?! I thought there was private insurance for that. Oh, too expensive!?
And I was So Sad then *
:yippee: It’s National Ice Cream Day :yippee:
Ice Cream of the Crop
By Vera H-C Chan
Fri, July 06, 2007, 7:05 am PDT
Warm up the metal scoopers. July is doubly delightful thanks to National Ice Cream Month and National Ice Cream Day on July 15. President Ronald Reagan thought the sweet occasion needed the double scoop of emphasis.

Almost Sammy time. The Senator Harris is scheduled to appear.
What is a wild pigeon ?? I haven’t seen any pigeons in the wild just in the center city where they get welfare at the brew pubs outside seating areas :paranoid: and bomb people taking short cuts down the alley. :yuck:
Dogs killing chickens 😮 Where do you guys live where they allow you to have chickens .. :omg: Our magpies attack dogs .. :reaper: :reaper:
Tea :joe: Cheers, Fred :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:
re 34   :omg:   (I looked 😮 my bad :spank: )
I think you can have chickens here. I know someone with chickens anyways. Maybe she gives her neighbors eggs to keep their yaks shut about it.
I could see Miami as a place where chickens in suburbia would be the norm but then Tancredo says Miami is a third world country..but then by normal measurements so is the SBR. :reaper: :reaper:
God, these Lionel promos really, really make me want to listen to his show.
Midwest Towns Sour on War as Their Tolls Mount
TIPTON, Iowa — This farming town in Cedar County buried Army Spec. Aaron Sissel during the Iraq war’s ninth month. It buried Army Spec. David W. Behrle during the 51st. Along the way, as a peaceable community’s heart sank, its attitude toward President Bush and his Iraq strategy turned more personal and more negative.
…
“It’s hitting all around us,” said Jim Allen, a salesman and former Bush voter at Fields Mens Wear on the town square. “Once we got there, I thought, ‘Let’s get it taken care of.’ Now it’s dragged on and on. It’s just every day, you hear of more casualties.”
I suppose I should be more sympathectic to their plight, how horrible must it be to bury your son or daughter or wife or husband? But godammit!! these are the same people that voted for bu$h….twice!!, that supported this occupation without question, and now they’re upset that their kids are being killed. Well what the FUCK did you expect!! ……..further vtriol has been edited out.
Gov’t insurance for doctors. That way they can knock us off and not have to worry about their premiums going up. Wow, that makes me feel much better. Thanks, Vernon.
I think we’re allowed to keep chickens in NYC, but not roosters. Roosters are deemed to be too noisy, unlike early morning garbage pick-ups, street cleaning and traffic. But, there are still people in Red Hook who keep chickens and occasionally a rooster crows.
 RFKJR (now on replay of Ring of Fire) (except some views) A!I!V!
Jeeze…I have NO shows from last thursday on because of this horrible dell problem. Today got a new router to prove to them that it was not the router…and now am missing RoF again and sammy from Thursday and Sammy from today, which I couldnt even tune into because I am so behind and busy from spending too much time on the line with tech support.
I guess I can download from AAR site and burn to a CD on the laptop and listen that way (I just cant get into the whole move the ipod thing…though I do want to get rid of the ipod at this point because of the itunes problem…)
eeekkkk…
deos anyone have the mp3 of thursday night’s malloy show. I have bits of it but its all skippy.
I could probably take it through AIM or some such.
pj…have you got that secret thing from before?
I cant get RoF because IM not a premium member?
Maybe have to go through itunes, but Im not sure that I have itunes on this laptop…argh!!
so I guess that everything is in premium now?
why can I still get some of it on itunes…or I could…
Eek!
I do not think I can help, but if I find links I’ll pass on……….but someone else should respond to help.
I cant get RoF because IM not a premium member? and I was just going to quit AAR………However, I think one can get One Show “passes”………… A!I!V!
Yyyyyarrr! :pirate: Nellie the squab eater!
so…there is a sam seder show from today but you have to look for the “free” sam seder show as opposed to the other sam seder show which comes through in 3 pieces of about 8-10 minute snippets each…like, most is missing…? Look under free shows and see if you can find the 2 hour one as opposed to the 3 part one.
I got it…just dont have the malloy show from Thursday.
Ring of fire I can get from itunes when its posted…
I cant even find a torrent of thursday malloy. Does anyone have it…pj??
It may be that the problems Ive been having is from some very fancy malware…I finally got a smart networking specialist at Dell and he managed to get the thing online and use a new dellconnect tool to look at it until he actually saw the problem happen a few times.
Its either that or a corrupted tcp/ip sector or some such…will know tomorrow after I do a pc reset and see if it still happens.
