I care less and less who’s on these shows every week. And I mostly didn’t really give a shit in to begin with. But, anyway….

On Press the Meat, it’s the big dog himself, Bill Clinton. Then it’s a roundtable with dickhead Dan Balz of the WaPost, everybody’s favorite Nazi, Pat Buchanan, David “Gilligan” Gregory, and Tavis Smiley.

Over at CBS, Bobby Schieffer hosts Bill Richardson, Lawrence Wright of the New Yorker, piece of crap wingnut Danielle Pletka of the American Enterprise Institute, and Robin Wright (but not the good one) of the Washington Post.

On Fux News Sunday, weaselface Wallace hosts Chuck Schumer, Mississippi cracker Trent Lott, David Yespen of the Des Moines Register, and James Pindell of the Boston Globe. Plus the usual nutjobs.

George Snufalufagus has Newt “not running” Gingrich, plus Bill Clinton once again. Then it’s a roundtable with former Pentagon spokesbitch Torie Clark, Donna Brazile and George :jerK: Will. Plus, Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus.

Wolf Blitzer’s Late Emission might be interesting, as Wolfie had Seymour Hersh in to talk about our upcoming war with Iran.

Later, on 60 Minutes, Steve Kroft does a story on Clarence Thomas (whoopdie fuckin’ doo), Katie Couric does a story on a kid that was killed by modern medicine, and Scott Pelley does a story on Vince Young.

I think you’re better off just listening to Sammy.

Last day of September; make it a good one.

Granny on the march.

March

Big anti-war rally and march planned for today here. It’s supposed to be the biggest anti-war demonstration in these parts since the Vietnam War, and is sponsored by some 60 organizations throughout New York State. It’s supposed to be a beutiful day, weather-wise, so that ought to help the turnout, and there are supposed to be people coming from all over NY, and even places like Vermont and Massachusetts. We’ll see what happens, I guess. Later, after the rally and march, Scott Ritter is leading a discussion panel on “The Peoples’ Response to the Patreaus Report,” with Dahlia Wafsi, and Jimmy Massey. I don’t know that I’ll get to go to that. I feel bad enough about leaving the dog all alone for so long as it is.

It’s always fun to be amongst like-minded people, of course. And there are more and more people who realize what a mistake all of this was. Mostly because we’re not “winning,” of course. If this administration hadn’t been so incredibly inept at everything they’ve done (another reason why I don’t buy the controlled demolition or the Twin Towers theory; these clowns just don’t have the competence to pull it off), 70% of the people would be cheering things on, and we’d be in the minority. But I don’t really expect any of this to change the minds of the people in charge, and I’ve long since lost any hope that people marching in the streets would give the Democrats that much needed spine transplant.

I’d be quite happy to be wrong, though.

Enjoy you Saturday.

Another birthday today, as Janeane Garofalo hits the big 4-3 today. Happy Birthday, Janeane. I was gonna give you the really cool present I got Marc for his birthday, but I didn’t want you to think I was stalking you, either.

Happy Friday everybody!

Happy Birthday to Marc Maron today, as he hits double fours. I was gonna get you a really great present, but I didn’t want you to think I was stalking you, so I guess I’ll just have to keep it for myself. Marc is in good company, as today’s birthdays include revolutionary rabble rouser, Sam Adams, the father of American political cartoon, Thomas Nast, “gangster” George Raft, Watergate Chairman Sam Ervin, the original Matt Dillon (and Bullwinkle narrator), William Conrad, Randy Bachman of BTO, Cheryl Tiegs (whose poster once proudly adorned my dorm room wall), and Meatloaf (not the food, of course, but the singer), among others.

So, Happy B’day, Marc. I hope this is the beginning of a great year for you.

Didn’t get to catch Marc and Sam yesterday, and I probably won’t, as long as they continue to do it during working hours, and in the format they’ve been doing it. Oh well. Maybe they’ll turn it into a real show one of these days. The big question is, should I buy Halo 3?

Just got around to watching last week’s Daily Show, with Bill Clinton. Say what you want about him, but seeing somebody who’s smart, articulate, and charming really made me feel sad about that idiot we have taking up space in DC right now. A damn shame.

Also got around to watching Bill Maher from last week, too. I think it was the best Real Time I’ve seen in a long time, and Janeane was really very good – much better than she was most of the time on Majority Report, IMHO (not that I didn’t like MR, but I just thought she did great the other night).

Oh well, back to work again. Everybody stay safe and healthy, OK?

Some Mondays suck. Like, most Mondays. But today really, really sucks. Why? I don’t know, it just does. This is gonna be one long friggin’ week.

Happy Sunday, and the first day of Fall. The days get shorter from here on out. And, for the first time in a long time, it was actually fun to watch an SU football game yesterday. Hopefully that wasn’t just an isolated incident. Anyhow…

On Today’s Press the Meat, Timmy Potatohead hosts another edition of Meat the Candidate. Today’s meat is Hillary Clinton. Then, it’s an “exclusive” with the sexiest man alive, Alan Greenspan, who will be on to hawk his book.

Hillary’s making the rounds today, and her next stop is with Bush Buddy Bobby Schieffer on Faze the Nation. And Booby will have a couple of hack writers on, in the form of David Sanger of the NY Times, and that schmuck John Harris from the ever-incorrect Politico.com.

Next stop for Hillary is Fux News Sunday, where she’ll hopefully bitch slap Weaselface Wallace around, just like Bill did. As if that wasn’t enough, we’ll also get to hear from that paragon of virtue, Newt Gingrich. There is, of course, the Fux News panel of asswipes, led by Brit Hume Cronyn and Bill Kristol, and then Ken Burns will be on to talk his latest homage to war.

Moving over to the Goebbels Network, it’s – you guessed it – Hillary Clinton. Then it’s a roundtable of E.J. “Grey Poupon” Dionne of the Washington Post, the asshole David Brooks of the NY Times, Cokie “the hag” Roberts and George :jerk: Will. And I guess Hillary and Ken Burns shared a cab over from Fux, ‘cuz he’s on too.

As for Wolf Blitzer’s Late Emission, there’s – believe it or not – Hillary Clinton, HHS Secretary, Mike Leavitt, France’s Foreign Minister, Bernie Kouchner, Chuckie Hagel, everybody’s favorite war criminal, Henry Kissinger, and one of the few guys who looks good with a flat top, Zbigniew Brzezinski. Plus the usual assortment of CNN hacks and liars.

Later, on 60 Minutes, Scott Pelley interviews Iranian President Ahmadinejad, Morley Safer does a story on pot, and Steve Kroft speaks with former chess master (and current political rabble rouser) Gary Kasparov. What, no Hillary?

Have a good one.

Damn, I have a headache. It’s been a while since I spent three days in a row planted in the chair writing code. It’s actually kind of fun, but also kind of tiring. Especially when you’re doing something you really have no idea how to do. This coldfusion shit is kind of annoying. It makes certain things very simple, and it makes some simple things very, very difficult. And then there’s Oracle to deal with (which is fairly straight SQL, but then again, not always). If this makes no sense to you, you’re not alone. It doesn’t make much sense to me, either. That’s the problem with faking your way through life. It tends to give you a headache (greatly exacerbated by progressive lenses, I might add).

So, I got my fancy new glasses with the “progressive” lenses yesterday. Right off, I’d say they pretty much suck. Apparently, you have to look directly at what you want to see. I understood about the up and down part, but had no clue you couldn’t look left or right, either. That sucks. One of my best abilities is being able to look at stuff out of the sides of my eyes. Now, if I wanna check out a hot babe, I’ll have to look directly at her. This isn’t cool. I’m nothing if not discrete. Oh well, supposedly you get used to it. We’ll see.

At least it’s freakin’ Friday.
