I have to admit, I don’t watch Fux News Sunday (shocking, I know). There are lots of reasons not to, of course, but one of the best reasons is that they give one of the biggest fucking schmucks on the the planet air time. By that, I mean William Kristol. Here’s what he had to say yesterday, in regard to the SCHIP program, and his boy dubya’s intention to veto it:
First of all, whenever I hear anything described as a heartless assault on our children, I tend to think it’s a good idea. I’m happy that the President’s willing to do something bad for the kids.
Kristol is the epitome of the neocon movement. A bunch of pretentious pricks who consider themselves “intellectuals,” and who have, in fact, been so stellarly wrong on everything that it’s simply unbelievable. We all know even a broken clock is right twice a day, but these callous assholes haven’t been correct about anything. They’re like Graham Nash’s song, King Midas in Reverse. Everything they touch turns to shit. Unfortunately, they keep touching our country, our plant, and our lives.
I only wish I believed in hell, because I think they’ll go through this life never understanding how truly evil they are. Arrogance and ignorance are a terrible combination, and these people have it in spades. I really do hate these people.
Hey, KP, this Woot’s for you.
How the hell is it October already? Wasn’t is just August? This is obviously a neocon plot to advance the calendar.
:omg:
Thanks PJ. I got a barracuda already. What I NEED is a pool heater. The water is a chilly 74 degrees and that’s pretty nipply for this desert rat :cold: I saw a couple of pool heaters on Craigslist for cheap but then I was thinking about the heating costs :smack: Then, I got an idea to run pvc pipe or a hose zigzagging across the top of the veranda and redirect the water through those to warm it. Maybe use black hose or black pipe. Just gotta figure out what size pipe to use.

Or What happens.??. Will they cut off the fortune cookies ??? :yuck: :crap: :paranoid: :paranoid:
KP just learn to swim in your long johns.. 74 is warm pool water .. Pool heaters around here are like having a gas fired water heater X 1000 😮 :omg:
These dim wit lefty talkers are still are saying War with Iran.. but its being held up by disagreements within the administration.. :omg: I keep wondering what all those diplomatic pouches/diplomats from the Russian and Chinese embassy’s have to do with anything. :reaper: :reaper:
I know you snowbirds think 74 degree water is warm. You guys wear shorts when it’s 35 degrees! That’s how we spot the out of towners around here. :tommygun: 😉
😕 Whoever chooses the sound bites for Randi’s promos really needs some help picking out comments that are actually funny. :jerk:
I think Clear Channel designs their commercials so that it makes the lefty talkers out to be comics so no one takes them seriously…or thinks they are stupid … In the case of Stephie however they are correct. 😮
This reminds me of the stories of the Cuban missile crisis where the “media” showed our military build up in Georgia and Florida .. We were going to go in and rid ourselves of the communist menace .. yep .. yep .. sure enough…. It wasn’t until ten years later that we learned about Russian bear bombers flying over georgia and that the Russians already had missiles ready to launch in Cuba.. The question is who really blinked .. Kruschev or Kennedy ?? 😮 😮
:tap: Hey, you leave Mama alone.
Woman gives birth to own grandchildren.
Gee, I’ve been having trouble sleeping. I wonder if a C-section would help?
I have to wonder why Heartman has these Reich/Libertarian IDIOT MORONS on his show .. I keep wanting to call in forward air support. :yuck: :crap: :fustrate: :fustrate:
Any time you go under the knife in this fascist medial system you may find yourself taking a very long nap. :reaper: :reaper:
I think Heartman will still be uttering Absolutely amazing right up until the time his shews begin to fill with water. It will be interesting to see what he says then .. perhaps he will :crap: in his pants.. That should be interesting on the radio. :yuck:
Well, Sheeple-
Its what we’ve all been waiting for–Marc Maron and Sam Seder together again. The last couple of Tuesdays Sam and I have been trying to work out the kinks on a live webcast. I am on the deck here in LA and Sam is in his silly upstate office. We’ll talk about stuff for an hour or so and I might even show you one of my cats.
Go to

at 11:00AM ET tomorrow, Tuesday Oct. 2. It will be a regular thing. We are still working out the technoproblems but it seems like its coming along. So, this is your invitation to join us live on Tuesdays at 11:00AM ET. You can watch any time after that on Sams site I think but live will be funner.
Maron
Yay, let’s hear it for Apple!
The audacity of people paying outrageous sums of money for an iPod with a shitty cell phone attached to it thinking they should actually have the right to choose what cell network they use.
Gee, how very Microsoft-like.
Sam is filling in for Malloy 10/8 to 10/12. I hope he has Maron as a guest.
I have learned the layout of the cavernous superarket around the corner and discovered that their prepared food is pretty good. :yippee: . I’m still looking for the parmesean cheese though. This place has a whole shelf section, top to bottom shelf, devoted to olive oil. There is also an olive oil taste testing station but for some reason that is located with the prepared food section, several bays away.
The supermarket is in a huge 1850 warehouse and because of this some parts of the supeermarket are not accessible from others. A couple of “You are here.” maps would make things easier.
Hubby is not happy with his immobility but we are managing pretty well. The steep, narrow staircases in the house are a very difficult obstacle to navigate on crutches. But, it really could have been so much worse that I am very grateful.
I was talking with someone who is into community WIFI .. Apparently there is an embedded Linux system that runs the radio’s on some 80% of the installed systems.. The RCS/bug tracking system has apparently been posting like three bug reports and two fixes a day for the last 6 months. There are like 60 independent groups all working independently and fixing things with little interaction.. that sounds like a place where a monopoly could actually come in handy 😮 😮 😯 😯
When you have been quite active to get laid up is a real bummer.. Just be sure not to modify the daily routine any more than necessary. and still try to get in some exercise if you can.
Here’s an interesting thing.
re#19
I’m pretty happy with the iPhone.
I won’t be installing that update however since I don’t go to Starbucks and the darned thing really isn’t a good iPod as you can’t skip ahead without looking while driving.
:knit: just don’t hate me PJ :knit2:
I think the iPhone looks cool, but Cingular/ATT around here stinks for reception, so there’s no way I’d buy one. Plus, I would be ticked off if I had to subscribe to their slow data network, when they have a much faster network available. I also really, really don’t like the fact that they don’t allow third-party apps (really locks it out of the enterprise market). And I have no desire to use iTunes, so there’s no allure for me there.
I’d like to see the iPhone-style interface incorporated into a tablet coputer, though. That would be pretty cool.
But can you imagine if M$ “coincidentally” released an upgrade that just happened to brick your fancy new phone? People would be screaming bloody murder.
Maron/Seder Vidcast finally up ❗
 :rabbi: :menorah: :sdavid: :sammy: :fire:
Yeah…you are right. But happily for me the service is better than Sprint’s and I am paying 40 less per month and have rollover minutes galore.
Talked to Roxie just now
She is locked out of her MDA so can’t get on line. She sounds good but tired. Also talkin’ to Druid :cat:
I apologize. But several reasons why. PJ and OR ANYONE PLEASE, Roxie’s Computer says no.
AKA it keeps asking for her password, but when she puts in … it says it is wrong. Any logic to this madness ( 😡 ness)(I miss your EMOs PJ — hard for me to talk. A!I!V! :dancers: Tea Cheers in a Tankard (Yum)
Since I am here for this moment in Time S.BlueHeron
PJ and RAGING Granny … Great looking protest. Yet, I keep saying, “What has happened to My California? ahhh Pink = Cool
but can I be an Arsenic and old Lace type? Mwah HaHa
And where does one find the really Cool 8) Hats … 😆
Fred, … IM’s I even go out feeding pigeons or strays … (yet never together :rofl2: LBH  ) and start laughing. Someone told me I did not understand what (in computerese) IM’s were. I laughed and said, “Oh yes I understand ALL meanings. :rofl2: “.
I keep snickering, even today …
and Thanks Vernon, re Marc & Seder’s Carnival. 😆 😉
A!I!V!
OOPS, sorry on Maron/Seder link #27. It is only the first 9 minutes but it was what I could not see that day and lots of Maron.
If they ever get it up…
31 (not 2 😳 🙄 ) :rofl2: sounds a bit Bill Riley
— also I believe two days ago Fernando and Sunshine Jim put up for someone yesterday morn (I think). (I just saw quickly) the link also … but it was the cleaned one (I believe F. did) :dancers: A!I!V!
Can’t think of why Roxie is having trouble with her password, assuming it’s the correct password, of course.
cap lock/num lock accidentally on? I seem to remember having that problem from time to time, usually after IT calls.
It doesn’t take a PC for something to go wrong.. go wrong.. go wrong… go wrong.. go wrong..
Is the password perhaps case sensitive ??
Did Roxie drop it ??
Did Roxie microwave it ??
Did Roxie put it in the same pocket with her cell phone ??
Its like the flight control computers that fly all Boeing jets since the 757,.. The are redundant and even vote on critical issues ..yet the flight engineer still has a big red reset button for each one. 😮 .. A later revision added another protected switch that caused the computer to reload its programming from an EMI protected flash part. 😮 😮
Now wouldn’t you really rather ride AMTRAK :reaper: :reaper: ..
Oh, cool. If you do a Google for “syracuse anti-war,” my diary over at Kos comes up in first place. For now, anyway.
Yup, it sure does, PJ
