Got this new XBOX game I tried to play last night. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Looks really cool, and the voice of the King is Patrick Stewart. It has spells casting and all this other nifty shit. Unfortunately, I can’t for the life of me figure out how to do anything with it. I suppose it’ll come with time. Maybe. I’m kind of an old fart, and this shit doesn’t come automatically to me, the way it does with the young folks. I may just have to call in sick for a few days, to figure it all out.
So, I was watching this movie on Sundance last night called Adam & Paul. The description reads, “Two addicts encounter lowlifes while trying to find drugs in Dubin, Ireland,” so it appealed to me on several different levels. Just a funny goddamn movie. I love the way the Irish say fuck. “Fook.” And there’s a lot of fookin’ sayin’ fook in this fookin’ movie, let me tell ya. Plus, the one addict sounded just like the guy in the wheelchair from Little Britain.
Of course, like any move about addicts, it’s ultimately very sad, too. I don’t know if there’s anything more sad than what addiction does to people. I’ve, personally, known some excellent people destroyed by it. I count myself lucky that I wasn’t destroyed by addiction or compulsion or whatever you want to call it. I never quite became addicted to anything (not physically, anyway, except for cigarettes, which aren’t good for you, of course, but they are legal). Shows you what a stupid system we have.
Anyhow, have a good fookin’ Wednesday.
Oh, and fook Bush! And Cheney, go fook yourself.
Well, let’s see. Right now, I have some Russian Imperial Stout, some Belgian Trippel Pale Trappist Ale, some Winter Warmer Ale, and some India Pale Ale.
Jeezus, is this still going on?
Go get ’em, Jimmy.
Say what you will about Jimmy Carter, but when he was in office (yeah, I’m that old) I never felt the need to worry about the world imploding because someone in the White House said or did something stupid. I remember the night Reagan won the election… I was working second shift at the time and you could have heard a pin drop in the room when the results were announced.
And the world has pretty much gone down the toliet since then, hasn’t it? (I’ve been listening to Hartmann too long, I know.)
And oh yeah, fook Diana. She’s been dead for ten years. Leave her the fook alone.
:fu:
Yeah, I was 16 when Jimmy got elected the first time. By the time I was eligible to vote, I wound up voting for John Anderson in ’80. I wanted him to get matching funds. Now, I kind of regret that (Reagan carried NY by about 165,000 votes, and Anderson got over 467,000).
I felt that nuclear war with the Soviets was very, very likely when Reagan was in office. Now, I fear worse things, at the hands of our own government.
:joe: :joe: :joe: :joe: :joe: 😮 😮 😮 AAAAARRRRRGGGGG
❓ ❓ ❓ ❓ Whatever :sheep: le
Goddamn it, there’s something wrong with my house key.
I think Jimmy Carter was too nice a guy to be president… The IDIOT MORONS never saw the why behind the Iranians seizure of our embassy .. Of course the “media” didn’t do much to tell them either ..
It obviously terrifies the neocons ( including Hillary) that there is now a possibility that all these people we have been oppressing for fifty years are now able to acquire the ability to remove us from the planet . :reaper: :reaper:
Back in the 70’s they built a housing development in south west Denver that only had about three different styles of houses .. Those were the days when people often never bothered to lock their doors and it was not uncommon for someone to come home from the bar and walk into someone else’s house.
I cn only imagine what would happen if that happened today.. :yuck:
I watched the Seder/Maron video thingie on rerun and thought it was compelling even though the editor time-lagged Maron for a full half-minute. A bit of mental gymnastics was required to keep track of statements and response. Thanks Vernon for providing the link.
I definitely will watch Monday’s show off the archives
Ewww Bown
turdback is on C-span this time making out China as the worlds bad guy in DarfurI find it hilarious the way Rush Limpball fans are coming to his defense on certain blogs. From Think Progress, one Jason M. Hendler writes this in defense of Pig Man:
For kicks, I dug up an earlier comment from long ago by the Piglet follower Mr. Hendler. This is his response to a graph somebody showed on some arcane blog:
Can you believe the idiocy of these people? According to Piglet, Jr., Rush is right, but physicists studying how gravity works should probably reconsider centuries worth of work. The mind reels.
Limpprick is obviously the Reich’s champion when it comes to the brainwashing of the IDIOT MORON . Between him and Sean-man Handjob they have some 20 million radio listeners a day.. I think Schultz has a whole 4 million. Its no wonder the SBR is the land of the IDIOT MORON :reaper: :reaper:
ummmmm so pj are you hooked up to xbox live? because i will so kick your ass at othello and mancala and ummmmmm worms yeah download worms so i can kick your ass in worms
:billcat: so maron and mishna arent even myspace friends anymore makes it seem like a really messy break to me
Hey Sean, yep, I’m in my free month of xbox live gold, but I’m pretty pathetic at the games, so I haven’t done any online playing yet. I’ll have to try downloading worms. I don’t suppose it’s free, though, huh?
Yeah, I took down the links to Mishna’s myspace page and blog, ‘cuz I figure you gotta take sides on this, and I’m on Marc’s side, being the loyal stalker that I am.
:rant1: having a hard time finding links to video of marc and sam links please :40:
So, it’s official. Bush hates kids.
nah good fun though
i think its like ten bucks for worms oh you can download marc marons comedy central standup special for like 2 bucks or something
pj my gamertag thingy is “sedition 12 16” so ummmm you can send me a message there so i can add you to my friends list
Re 19 .. This will now give congress a reason to have a ten week dog and pony show to take the attention of the IDIOT MORONS off the fact that we have an illegal occupation that they were elected to end that they are not willing too. :gate: :omg: :jason: :jason: :fist:
I would like to hear Heartman’s Reichwing/Libertarian guests get interrupted mid stream in there convoluted babble by the three guys in sweatshirts and ski masks who break in and take them away yelling and screaming never to be heard from again. :reaper: :reaper: :yuck: :crap: :paranoid: :paranoid:
:cold: they do that to reich wingers now too?
OK, Sean. I’ll send you a message next time I get back on.
Perhaps if every state seceded, we could finally get Bush out of power:
Secessionists meeting in Tennessee
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071003/ap_on_re_us/secessionist_movement_1
At least it would cripple the global war-making machine. Texas can’t do it alone.
The Penatgon strikes again.
NEW YORK Newspapers in Massachusetts have been doggedly digging into the case (covered by E&P on Monday) of a Quincy woman who died in Afghanistan under mysterious circumstances last week.
The military first reported that Ciara Durkin, 30, who served in the National Guard, had died “in action,†then revealed that she was killed in a “noncombat†incident that was being investigated.
Her family was told that she had been killed by a single gunshot near a church. They are charging that the military has been dragging its feet in giving them more details. They reject any chance of suicide and suspect friendly fire or murder.
I was wondering… Since you can’t recall your rep/senator if the state legislature conducted a referendum on an issue ( like the war) and then sent a letter to their congressional official instructing them to vote a particular way and if they didn’t they could then have a special election to replace them. and if they refuse to leave… well . then send their national guard to DC to enforce the election outcome.. :gate: :omg: :jason: :jason: :fist:
That would be like a legitimate Vigilance committee. The resulting firefight between the national guard unit and the SS/ DC police would probably even be televised. :tommygun: :tommygun:
Of course in Colorado (aka the land of the IDIOT MORON) the democratic state legislature is too busy trying to figure out how with 4.2 % unemployment how their tax revenues could be off by 15% :tommygun: :tommygun:
Heartman’s show today is about as entertaining as having a bad case of diarrhea, :yuck: :barf: :crap: :paranoid: :paranoid:
What are all you Xbox users going to do when they shut down the Internets. ( that follows the firefight in DC) :reaper: :reaper:
Sean, here is last week’s video
http://www.samsedershow.com/vod20070927
The VOD link can be found in the upper right hand corner of http://www.samsedershow.com/.
WHT described it well up at #10.
This week is not up yet. I am not sure if they will leave up last week once the new one is posted so watch it soon, before they shut down the internets.
OK, this is old but I hadn’t seen a picture of her. What do you call this? Nazi chic?
If they shut down the Internets, I’ll start an e-mail campaign and online petition, by golly.
The first time I saw that picture, I thought it was the guy from code pink that hangs out in the back of all the hearings.
But never mind “her.” Did you see the story linked on the right side bar of that page?
House Republicans are threatening to launch a discharge petition on legislation that would ensure the future prosperity of conservative radio talk-show hosts but is expected to face opposition from Democratic leaders. On Monday evening, Republicans filed a rule with the House Rules Committee laying the groundwork for a petition that would force action on protecting radio from government regulation later this fall.
The move comes at a time when Democrats have launched a coordinated attack on conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh, accusing him of disparaging American troops critical of the Iraq war as “phony soldiers.â€
Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) has said broadcasters should be required to give listeners both sides of political issues so voters can make informed decisions.
Conservatives fear that forcing stations to make equal time for liberal talk radio would cut into profits so severely that radio executives would choose to scale back on conservative programming to avoid rising costs and interference from the government.

That is why I do not write here — since I feel

Just trying to write something to say something, now.
But, Kevin @, Thank You With Tears In My Eyes FOR WHAT SHOULD BE TODAY!

sorry but I do not know how to post here.) It seems NY is doing something. My City has turned DLC and Republican.
I finally might be changing parties, after my whole life and much work for “dems”…Green, Independent, or Start My Own, because Pelosi, and of course Feinstein, are as usual, voting with “republicans”. IMPEACH — voting threats by numbers (via Net perhaps) might be next. Interesting … just thought of.
(I no longer “respect” those whom do not “respect” most dems voters, like me — and advised many.)

Maybe Sean is wearing the same prescription glasses as the guy in the picture. That would explain the faulty eyesight. 😀
I need to go home. Just finished working out for half an hour. Weights, ab crunches and ten minutes on the bike. I’m officially wiped. And Pilates on the days I don’t hit the weights.
Man, what some people won’t do in pursuit of :cat:
The ironic part is that she’s in better shape than I am (which admittedly is like being smarter than Bush – the bar is set pretty low), and SHE went home sick from work today. Sing, Alanis.
As long as there is all of this faciest/corporatist $$$ in politics it really makes no difference what party you belong too..or.. if you even give $$ to the candidates campaigns The elected elites will vote however the “they” have instructed them to vote ..
Its not likely as long as the Broncos and the Rockies are playing on the same night that the IDIOT MORONS will even know much less care about the outcome of the election,..that is until they fall though that hole in a bridge deck on there way home from the after game party .
Then it will be the democrats fault .. for not fixing the bridge which wasn’t even built the last time they wee in power. ( insert emo of mushroom cloud here)
its like rain………… there ya go
With the Children’s Health Care veto the President showed us a war in Iraq and possibly Iran is more important to him that America’s children. Killing over health care. Compassionate conservatism? Or just plain spite?
For decades the radical right lead by thugs like Rush Limbaugh has been attacking Americans and American society, slandering anyone and everyone they disagreed with. When foaming right-wingers slandered a fine man in John Kerry Limbaugh and other America-hatreds glowed with glee. Now that the left is speaking out about some of those personal and inflammatory comments and actions of such world-famous America-haters as Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly the right-wingers are screaming foul. It isn’t so bad that these deviants are continually attacking our country but when someone no longer is willing to take their attacks lying down they just can’t handle it. Before Reagan gutted our working medical system these people would have been treated. Now we just want them to shut up and go away. With people like them and the Republicans destroying our once-great society from the inside we don’t need any foreign enemies.
Hey, Blue, nice to see ya.
As long as you have these Reich wing talkers and the IDIOTS on the M$M spewing :crap: the typical IDIOT MORON who uses the M$M for there source of information ( or lack of information) know nothing else ..
How is one supposed to counter such an onslot of misinformation. :gate: :omg: :jason: :jason: :fist:
:fustrate: you didnt get halo 3 pj………
bitch just laughed at gravel not that i like gravel but what a C :bf: 😀
No, didn’t get Halo 3 (yet). Maybe if I ever get through Rainbow Six.
I sent you a “friend” request, though. I could actually probably get by on the free arcade demos. At least for quite a while.
Randy Van Horne leaves the past, present, and future 83; his studio group sang ‘Flintstones,’ ‘Jetsons‘ theme songs.
Or should I say Yabba Dabba Done. 🙁 :gate:
I need the soothing consolation of a Remembrance.
