Back in 1975 – right around this time of year, as I recall – the NY Daily News ran the headline, “Ford to City: Drop Dead.” I’d like to see them run a new headline today: “Bush to Kids: Fuck You.” They won’t, of course. For one thing, William J. Brink is dead. And “screw you” might be a bit more likely, but they won’t run that, either. It would be nice if the Democrats would press that point – that Bush hates kids, and values insurance company profits above kids getting healthcare. Maybe they will, and maybe the traditional media will get that message out. But I doubt it. It’s pretty fucking disgusting, if you ask me. If we can’t ensure that every American can have healthcare, can’t we at the very least make sure every kid in this country gets it? I guess not. There might be a loss of profit.

Thus lefty IDIOT ( aka the not so young jerk ) making fun of the SBR bombing and killing people and then just saying but hey thats the American way . :gate: :omg: :jason: :jason: :tommygun: :tommygun:
Sorry, Sean. Had to get ready to come to work. We’ll have to give that a try again when I have more time to figure it out. Just make sure I can respawn when I get killed, ‘cuz I’m not very good.
I chuckle at these rethug wingnuts who sound like they are gonna cry when they speak about the “great issues of our time”. My two favorites are Joe Lieberman and Michael Ledeen, who also happen to sound very much alike, and coincidentally hate Iran with a passion not heard of this side of Debra Kagan. No disrepect to Alf’s Dad and Droopy Dawg, who not only happen to sound like those 2 characters, but who also only have concerns about issues within a cartoon world.
My first question is, is there some genetic trait that both Ledeen and Lieberman share that causes their cry-talking and fear-mongering ways?
And second question, which of the two sounds more like Alf’s Dad and which one like Droopy Dawg? For now I would go with Alf’s Joe and Droopy Ledeen.
Message from broken hearted Marc. I’d really like to go to this but I’m pretty damned broke right now. Plus I have to work. :smack:
Hey-
I’ll be pulling red hot steel rods out of my heart and pounding them
into funny on the anvil of the stage at the UCB Theater in Los Angeles
this Friday, Oct. 5 at 9:30. As some of you know these shows can be
awkward and intense but always entertaining. Come on, how often can laugh
directly at someone’s pain before it is submerged in jokes.
Here’s the link for reservations and whatnot:

Love you all,
Maron
I definitely go with Joey for Alf’s dad. I guess tough talk about Iran/q makes up for being wimpy, pathetic, cowering losers. Or something.
Well, let’s see, if I blow off work tomorrow, expedia says I can book a round trip flight to LA, hotel room for three nights (I can come back on Monday, since it’s a holiday), and a rental car for about $1200. Oh, plus whatever it costs to get in, and maybe eat and drink. So, around $1500 ought to do it.
Well, that aint gonna happen. Unless Marc comes to Syracuse, I don’t think I’ll be able to stalk him in person. I’ll have to stalk him virtually.
I believe Quiet Girl is going on the 5th — I hope. :dancers:
Humboldt State University is about 20 min to an half an hour away. I think I will contact their “talent” section. I wish we had a place here … but Marc is to wonderful for “cafe” talent.
I saw that yesterday when he also posted in other places tooooo …
he sounds so sad. Well “The Students” are back. :yippee: A!I!V!
where’s my IV of Tea. I guess time to Brew mwah haha, Tea that is TeeHee … :dancers: A!I!V!.
It rained off and on this week. Danu even woke me after about a few hours into my few hours of sleep, yesterday. But I finished 1 project
:yippee: … so onto finishing others :yippee:
Kristapea (you are the age of my husband) so I think sometimes “people” (students are “gentle”) ,hubby is not “gentle” but students in this area… what do you think? We have “certain nice” talent (even from China.) here …but south now seems to be a touch more in truth aware … even my “city”, which has turned conservative of late. :fustrate: .
This is a town with the Greens here (Independent Party?) … and here the students are vehemently peaceful :fustrate: :jerk: ๐
I might host at least a Gore, go to some Greens, :fist: … There is that wonderful person whom ran as President (and we have worked together before … He didn’t win as Prez (Green) put I might run and have him a VP
… and he does have a zillion contacts (and I a decent few in this area and with Gore meetups) and Sis is working there HSU :smack: … and what does it spell? … what for it….. what for it……
MARC audience. :yippee: A!I!VI ๐ (I hope) :pirate: :yippee:
BUT didn’t a sweet puppy (adult dog) was murdered in “Spud”… we Americans did not kill in first launch, so I will, before a certain “blink of my eye” PROCLAIM truth of the murder.
George Takay on Stephanie Miller :yippee: :rofl2:

Damn! I knew I forgot to do something this morning when I was online. Give me a day off and I forget my own name.
I had planned to dub some programming from VCR to DVD as a birthday gift for someone, but my machine won’t let me because I taped the shows off HBO and there’s a copyright issue involved. Shit. But that frees up six hours for me to do other stuff, so it’s all good.
Went to Target looking for the new Springsteen. They didn’t have it, but they DID have the new PJ Harvey. Go figure. Of course, they probably don’t have a lot of people buying that one in the first place.
Polly
I’ll have to take it to work tomorrow and brighten my Friday.
And agreeance with whoever it was (I’m too lazy to go back and look) who said the Dems should beat the Repigs over the head with Bush’s veto. We can’t afford health care for poor kids, while his bullshit war bleeds future generations dry? BITE ME, CHIMPUS.
Shit, even MY Repig congressman voted in favor of it, and he may not be running for re-election next year.
Someone should get a bunch of kids together to gang up on Bush, like the karate class did to Kramer in that Seinfeld episode.

Republican Sen. Larry Craig of Idaho reversed course on Thursday and said he intends to remain in the U.S. Congress despite his conviction in a sex-sting operation.
In a statement after a Minnesota court refused to let him withdraw his guilty plea to a charge of disorderly conduct, Craig said he intends to complete his third term that ends in January 2009.

Hubby and I made it back to Shelter Island this afternoon, so the next few days should be pretty easy. The dogs don’t need walking, they can go out in the back yard and the house is one story so hubby can make it around on his crutches and even go out on the deck.
Of course there’s no Fairway with its prepared food, but hubby swears he’s going to cook some veggie stew and we can eat that for a couple of days. If that fails, there are TV dinners, cottage cheese and sandwiches.
I also managed to get one last Tuesday off, so I’ll be able to watch Sam and Marc. Maybe after this they’ll get it together and post at least the audio fairly quickly. (Hope springs eternal.)
Does anyone know how Roxie is doing?
:fustrate: damn you pj i just was about to invite you and you signed off………
:tommygun: halo 3 it is then………
Oh, sorry man. I can’t seem to get past this part that I’m on, and it’s pissin’ me off!
Warning-Sports related content but I don’t usually see shooter around at this hour (nor is anyone else)

Today was a pretty good day. I found Maron-Not Sold Out at Amoeba as well as a used copy of Left of the Dial and the newish (rhymes with Jewish) Harry Shearer CD.
The great free “bluegrass” festival kicks off tomorrow afternoon so I will get to see great music and many friends.
Only bad part is Fleet Week and 4 days of the Blue Angels flying around frightening the livestock. Pretty cool though watching tens of thousands of people in GGP at the festival flipping them off. They also usually appear appropriately during a set by the likes of Steve Earle or Eliza Gilkyson doing anti-war songs. I have a feeling that they may be flying during James McMurtry on Saturday.
I guess roxie has not resolved her password conundrum. Hope she is OK.
