Good morning, PJ. I was thinking about you saying that Siggy and RG are your only friends. Then I read yesterday’s blog and thought that you may have misunderestimated.
I hope you’ll have some good news soon.
Patsy, the big dog and I wish the best in finding your best pal. Totally understand the feeling. Is right above guts, below the other guts and never goes away.
Ms. Sales, I think you got that right.
I thought about volunteering to write Booblehead for today but decided that I was not worthy. I might have said something about Alvin Poussaint/Allen Toussaint and made a fowl pun that maybe one other person might ever connect.
Looks like it might not be so cold and rainy in Syracuse today.
As the United States prepares for the next great debate on its ailing health-care system, support is growing for a shift from the traditional employer-based financing to publicly subsidized individual health insurance.
A measure co-sponsored by Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon and Republican Sen. Robert Bennett of Utah to convert to such a system has attracted a total of nine sponsors. Last week, presidential candidate John McCain introduced a variant that is a partial step in that direction.
And this week the Committee for Economic Development (CED), a high-powered business group, will give a strong push to the idea with a report saying in blunt terms that business can no longer afford to pay the rising costs and lacks the clout to curb the forces that are driving health-care inflation.
Instead, the report calls on government to restructure the private insurance market in less rigid form than Hillary Clinton proposed 14 years ago — and then step back and let competitive market forces do their invaluable work of forcing recalcitrant insurers, doctors and hospitals to bid against each other on the basis of price and quality.

Good Morning, I was hoping to see some good news when I opened up the blog. Maybe my visualizing Siggy safe and sound will take some time to get there. I am a whole country away, after all.
Wouldn’t be the first time these fucks did anything premature. I don’t understand why they think they can do these things without retaliation. These idiots really think their shit don’t stink.
Re: #4
I want the insurance companies out of it, period. They simply don’t have any interest in paying for very sick people. People with pre existing conditions are made to feel like criminals and are punished because of it.
KP, I too think that a single-payer system is the ideal. But, if that is not an immediate possibility, I think a bifold system in which people can choose between Medicare and private insurance is a good start.
The health care in the US is terrible. I read recently that infant mortality and maternal deaths are higher here than in other industrialized countries. So much for the “we have the best health care” crowd.
I’m afraid Fred is right. We’re the SBR.
I found this over at Brilliants blog. Cripes! If this aint a case of the pot calling the kettle black and proves my point above that they think their shit don’t stink. I don’t understand how people can be that oblivious about their own actions or how they can say this crap with a straight face. :fu:
people with sirius MARC MARON on lynn samuels show n about 15 to 20 minutes
oh he didnt end up being on for some reason
Sorry about Siggy, PJ.
I caught Marc last night at Comix. I can only fulfill the prophecy from one of his bits: I hope he’s okay. He did the bit about how he hates the word “fine,” traffic taking away empathy, God having the voice of the claymation dog Goliath, waking up seething, wanting to crash the car in front for the immediate gratification, etc.
And then he got to the divorce bits: she got tired of his anger issues, marriage counseling is like paying for an ambush, marrying into a german family as a jew, masturbating in front of cats, begging, and finally a sad, uncomfortable ending.
I heard a few others near me mention the radio show, but no one mentioned the blog.

…masturbating in front of cats, begging, and finally a sad, uncomfortable ending.

More sad and uncomfortable than listening to him talk about masturbating in front of cats? ๐
PJ, I’m holding out hope for Siggy. When I was in college, our dog either escaped its leash and ran off or someone stole him, we never did find out, so I know what you’re going through and it sucks. Hopefully someone found Siggy and will help him make his way home.
Brown County GOP Chairman Donald Fleischman has resigned his post, says a spokesperson, after being accused of enticement and fondling of an underage boy, reports the Green Bay Press-Gazette Saturday.

Another one! Sam says that these guys think everyone has these urges and they simply control them. Therefore, they’re not really gay, just giving in to normal urges.
Not sure if you’ll be able to see this or not (it’s from Salon), but it’s pretty funny.
I’m not gay, I’m just pretending.
PJ…any word?
I saw Marc last nite too…excellent show and he is doing much better than he has been…hes busy and was booked every day that he was here during the day on local radio and at night doing different shows.
He uses his pain in the funny, but many of those bits are reworked and shined up older bits, and the newer stuff about Scotland is hilarious (there was a Scotsman in the audience)
and about the lack of black people in scotland he said that they were what the haggis is made of…Soylent Green, with Charlton Heston screaming on a gurney “haggis is black people”
Lots of the funny…really great universal truths about life…all that stuff. Just what I needed.
And he is OK…he will be OK. Marc is actually pretty stable, for all of his flailing about…and tremendously talented.
Jill and Mr B and I were sitting up away from the stage.
We both blogged about it, with mine cross posted to B@B, as I am a team member there now….
Some former rethug aide to former thug governor owens (the little man on the wedding cake) pled guilty friday to (count….one, two…) child molestation. Look for it on republican sexcapades thursday wiith the young turds. It’s been constantly raining here but somehow they’re playing baseball. Expected starting time temperature monday night-38 degrees :cold:
If we get into the World Series, look for the first snow-out in major league history. :omg:
The excuses these “not gay” guys give show great creativity and an impulse to lie. Just what you’d expect from a rethug (the lying, that is). They must think the general public is really stupid, but I guess if you deal with Republicans all the time, you could well come to that conclusion.
The “poop” watch and cat “box” was serious. My cat had ran away during a move. I had walked and walked calling and crying and I had heard of this “stray” cat and dog family and The Cat Lady for that area. I thought she wasn’t home and I sat on curb and cried ….. some of her cats felt my tears … she did answer her door. (Sounds a bit like me now.)
There is the CONSTANT familiar “smell” I guess. My cat only knew the old place ….. Cauldron was gone for several days and had not known the new……I put 1 of the used cat boxes WITH a few “smells” of the FAMILY OF CATS……….and that night just a few hours I had been home and the cat litter “box” on my corner of lawn …………………………. and “cat” came back. But his :crap: is 8) and joined with cats. They can smell what we can’t ON THEIR LEVEL. :cat: :pup: :billcat: ๐
One cannot kill energy ….. form of spirit. That energy always will travel with you. One does not know … but SOME animals want to pass while running wild…..SOME animals do NOT want to have their “pals” see them pass….I had a few EXTREMELY CLOSE cats and a few dogs throughout life that did “certain” actions so one knew. There are many reasons why they “run” …..and it just “haunts” but as Buddhists say, they (the one no longer here) traveled with you for years with  thus will travel with you.
But DON’T STOP CALLING SIGGY HOME. /|\ :cake: ๐ก Candle In Window. /|\
