Here we go again….
On Press the Meat, Timmy Potatohead (you know, if you google Timmy Potatohead, you get this blog?) hosts Chris Dodd, who’s showing more spine than all the other Democrats running for President combined. Then it’s everybody’s favorite retired Republican pundit, William Safire & Tom DeFrank, who gave us Gerry Ford’s posthumous memoirs.
Over at Faze the Nation, Bush Booby Bobby Schieffer hosts Carl Levin, Lindsey “hey, shut that closet door” Graham, and asshole from the ever-incorrect Politio.com, Roger Simon.
On Fux News Sunday (#1 if you search for “Fux News Sunday”), Weaselface Wallace (yep, a google for Weaselface Wallace, gets you this blog, right there at the top of the list) hosts the First Lady of Lithium, Laura Bush herself (next week, King George will stop by to play), plus the latest Republican Redneck Governor, Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, and artistic director of the Shakespeare Theatre Company, Michael Kahn. Plus, the usual assortment of Fux Noise scumbags.
On the Goebbels Network, George Snufalufagus (BTW, google George Snufalufagus, and guess what comes out at the top of the list?) hosts St. John McCain, plus fake Democrat Dianne Feinstein, and authentic asshole, Duncan Hunter (both of California), on to talk about Michael Martin Murphey, and a political Rountable of Paul Krugman, Chrystia Freeland (from the Financial Times) and George :jerk: Will (#1 for “George :jerk: Will”). And This Weak’s “Voice,” filmmaker Molly Bingham whose new film, “Meeting Resistance” focuses on the Iraqi insurgency and what motivates Iraqis to join its ranks (maybe it’s because we’ve killed a million or so of their civilians? Just a thought).
Wolf Blitzer’s Late Emission includes Mohamed ElBaradei, Director General of the IAEA, Barbara Boxer, Senator Brylcreem®, Trent Lott, and Mike “Huckleberry” Huckabee.
Later, on 60 Minutes, Hamid Karzai will ask his good buddies the Americans to stop fucking killing everybody in his country with indiscriminate airstrikes, Steve Kroft asks where all the bees have gone, and Lesley Stahl does a story on how “Sarko L’Americain,” Nicolas Sarkozy is pissing off his fellow Frenchmen by becoming an American lapdog (I guess dubya’s lap was getting cold, what with Tony Blair being gone). Hey, I told ya you shoulda gone with the pretty lady.
Happy Anniversary to my parents, who’d have been married for 61 years today, if they were still alive.
Enjoy your Sunday everybody, ‘cuz it’s back to the salt mines tomorrow.

:yippee: im in iowa……… at least there s internet here………
Good morning :joe: :joe: . Chilly, breezy morning, here, really nice.
I slept late this morning because the dog in charge of waking us up, continues to bother hubby and not me. Why is this? She is not stupid when it comes to getting us to fulfill her desires. I can’t complain. (She’l probably read this, while googling Fux News) and decide to stick her wet nose in my sleeping face, tomorrow.
Chilly and breezy here in the Great White North, too. And with all this damn rain, I’ll be needing to cut the damn grass again. WTF, it’s damn near November. I shouldn’t have to keep cutting the grass.
It’s been warm here too. The cooler keeps kicking on even at night. Still getting into the 90’s but a couple of people saw 100 degrees on various temperature displays around town. I’ve always known that the weather people lie! :fu:
Dana Perino says there is good to come from global warming. Youse guys don’t seem to appreciate the great gift that it is The preznit will not be happy with you
When we moved to Red Hook I got very curious about wind. The weather channel would report little or no wind and there would be quite a stiff breeze in Red Hook. (a real blessing in the summer but a nasty biting curse when it’s cold) I got a Davis weather station thingy that measures wind and temperature and discovered that the wind in the Hook was indeed much stronger than other nearby places, even those on the water as I am. The temperature on the other hand is usually several degrees higher though thanks to that wind, the wind chill makes it feel much lower.
Happy Halloween!

The NY Times is running a long magazine article called “The Evangelical Crack-up.” Here’s the link:

Lincoln Karim, the photographer of Palemale, NYC’s redtail hawk, took pictures this August of a young hawk playing in a sprinkler of Central Park. I love this seriers of shots. they never fail to make me smile. Click on the link and then scroll down, they are the last pictures.

Sue, thanks for posting the NY Times article. I sort of had this conversation on the phone with my sister last night. My problem with the media referring to the christofascists as “values voters” is a) many of them espouse values that are opposite the preachings of their supposed savior, and b) it implies that I have no values because I do not share their beliefs. Wrong on both counts.
There was an opinion piece in today’s St. Petersburg Times referring to the widely held opinion that Hillary’s nomination would unite the Repigs in hatred of her. I wonder how much Guiliani’s nomination would make the christofascists’ heads explode. Not that I want to see either of those nominations come to pass, just food for thought.
It’s http://www.sptimes.com if you want to look for it. This crappy server probably won’t let me post a link, and at this point in the dwindling weekend I’m too lazy to try anyway.
Sue P, (giggle) I am keeping article to reread…and “dissect” and devour…again and again. :growl: :fist: HiiiYaaa A!I!V! .. :dancers: .. I keep articles like this to add to research.. 😉
