I went out to work at 7am and there was a Fox News helicopter right over my front yard. I looked at it for a bit wondering what the hell it was hovering there. I didn’t see any cops or other helicopters either so it was strange. So I got into my truck and headed to work. As I was leaving the neighborhood the helicopter seemed like it was following me. It had been hovering over my house, for who knows how long. And now it was meandering towards the intersection near my house where I was stopped looking at where it was. I drove out to the main street and it seemed to keep up with me. I started heading to the freeway feeling weird but telling myself it was just a coincidence. I got on the freeway and looked in the sky and the goddamn Fox News helicopter was heading right towrds me! WTF! Before I left the house I heard the traffic report and they said there were no accidents to report so they weren’t doing that. It kinda freaked me out a little.

It’s Billo. He has a clean loofah and he’s coming to get you. He will teach you the meaning of the word respect.
“Say baby, put down that pipe and get MY pipe UP!”
:rofl2:
No Kevin, Bill’s super hero special weapon is a falafel. :smack: I’m much more frightened of falafels than loofahs. :tinfoil:

You got to the “dread Monday right after work on Friday” stage within a year, PJ. You have yet to beat my time of getting to that stage in under a month when I worked at the scene shop last year. :crap:
Wi-Fi causing autism?
According to a study by Dr. George Carlo in Australasian Journal of Clinical Environmental Medicine, the signals emitted by Wi-Fi routers cause metals to be trapped in brain cells, thereby accelerating the onset of autism.

I am pretty sure we had mindless zombies wondering around ( at least in the admin building) long before we had Wi-Fi :tap: :tap:

I am still wondering what is going on on Friday.. The schedule shows nothing yet we were specifically told not to shut anything down for a long weekend.. Perhaps they are flying in some employees from China to work things during the the 4 day Amerikan holiday.. 😮 😯 😯 Lets hope they don’t take anything home with them. :reaper: :reaper:

Group says wearing their shirts on campus has caused quite a stir
The heckling began early in the school year, according to group members. They say they were putting small posters promoting peace on friends’ lockers with their permission. They thought it was OK, because the cheerleaders and football players had signs on theirs. Eventually, though, group members say they were told by the school’s administration they could no longer hang up the posters.
“People tore them down and drew swastikas and ‘white power’ stuff on them,” Lauren said.
andy aka Aquaman and Sean M,
AaA, re 20 I sent me an email and MUST have time to post on my sites or pages or whatever so EVERYONE will send P.P. Camp = Picture (some poison pen) Postcards’ Campaign.
Thank You Sean for “saving me” 😉
(BTW ‘save’ is an archaic way of saying “except”. When I was in grammer school, I got really into books from Poe and Dickens and archaic poems .. name it I most likely read or heard and knew of ye ol’ books.) that is why I am hardly able to know of which I speak. Since taking “American” I knew the older form more in truth and at a younger age than the contemporary. :fustrate:
Has anyone seen the movie “Across the Universe”? We saw it last weekend- hadn’t paid it much attention. Very slow start and not much expectation but it developed into a very touching evocation of the sixties (some would say superficial). Excuse our sentimentality but we spend most of our time looking at the increasingly bad news on the tube with emotions in check, compartmentalizing and just trying to get through to the weekend when we can forget it all. The recruitment scene in ATU brought tears to my eyes as I wondered why I was having to fight the same mindless militarism and imperialism that was being fought 35 years ago.
Occasional outstanding visual set pieces
32 Beatles songs woven in (mostly skilfully) with a few outstanding performances by the likes of Joe Cocker and even Bono and Eddie Izzard (who can’t sing) :bong: :peace: :yinyang:
re 22 :peace: 8) cool – :yinyang: …A!I!V!
I am so glad for a possible “good” film about that period. I will have to wait until probably on DVD cuz I no longer live near a big city, like SF or LA. We made so much to occur and made so much possible! Thank You! A!I!V! :dancers: Oh, I really like Eddie Izzard (Thank You Someone of Yesteryear).
I must get to work…Tea Cheers) :dancers:
druid- just keep in mind, it’s not an ‘in-depth’ look at that era- it mostly exists as a musical but still, generated some deep emotions on my part :reaper: :bong: :billcat: :cat: :fist:
:peace: 😉 :yinyang: …A!I!V! :dancers: Pink… Live at W … Let’s Get This Party Started. ( I love her tat. Recently I was told men should beware of a woman with a Dragon Tat…LOL My Tat for meditation: I use my 4″x4″ Tat of a Black Dragon with thin yellow/gold just starting below calf inside of lower Right leg).
Senator Hillary Clinton, D-NY, announced today that she will forgo CBS News’ upcoming presidential debate unless the network can reach a resolution with its striking employees.
“The workers at CBS News have been without a contract for close to two and a half years,” the Senator said. “It is my hope that both sides will reach an agreement that results in a secure contract for the workers at CBS News but let me be clear: I will honor the picket line if the workers at CBS News decide to strike.”
In issuing the statement Clinton becomes the first Democratic candidate to publicly state her refusal to cross the picket line. Others have expressed solidarity with the strikers.

Right on, Hillary. I hope the rest follow suit.
Jordan Fox was seriously injured by a roadside bomb earlier this year, and the Army asked him to repay $3,000 of the $10,000 enlistment bonus he received.
“It was kind of like a slap in the face to know that I had done my best and tried to serve my country with honor and have them turn around and say, ‘Well you owe us money,'” Fox said on MSNBC’s Live with Dan Abrams Tuesday.
Perhaps realizing the wave of bad publicity that would result from Fox’s nationally televised appearance, the Pentagon reversed course just before the program aired and vowed not to send its debt collectors after the wounded soldier.
Fox is not alone, though. According to KDKA, a local station in Pittsburgh, Pa., the military “is demanding that thousands of wounded service personnel give back signing bonuses” after being injured in combat.

You’ve heard “the conservative doth protest too much.”
Ooh, that info comes right from the front page of Conservapedia.

Its always nice to live in a world where there are two sets of facts on the same subject… The facts that exist in the real world and the facts that exist in the Orwellian world of the conservative alternate reality. :tap: :tap:
i assume they just cant comprehend how good we are at special effects………
from the conservapedia entry on dinosaurs “Dinosaurs were large, reptilian creatures which are now generally believed to be extinct.”
GENERALLY :crap:
I don’t know Sean after all some of the current batch of conservatives resemble reptiles and the world can only hope that will go extinct. :omg: :crap: :paranoid: :paranoid:
Still trying to work my way through Half Life 2 right now, Sean. I’m at the sand traps.
Sammy is subbing for Randi in case anyone didn’t know.
PJ if you set it up right you can use one of the old doors lying around the area and make it act like a sail. I was able to cross the sand almost in one shot.
❓ Gay Bowel Syndrome ❓
I’ve been working in hospitals a long time & have seen all sorts of crazy diagnoses, but ain’t never come across Gay Bowel Syndrome.
Wonder if they treat that with steroids or falafels. :sammy:
re 36 (giggle) RAGING Ganny maybe cuz I was from the City, I heard about something like that throughout latter ’70’s & early 80’s. 😮 😯 seriously (gentle, very quiet snicker with hand over mouth). 😀 :pup: :cat: :growl: A!I!V! :dancers: :pirate: 😉

No matter how many bankers with their pockets filled with inflated green backs the chief engineer throws into the breach caused by the subprime mortgage ;fiasco the water continues to rise . The democraps continue to hold out hope that the ship will go down while the rethugs are are still at the helm..while the :sheep: continue to run in circles bleating loundly hoping they all don’t drown. :reaper: :reaper:
Meanwhile the talkOfools continued to tell the :sheep: what deck the water was up to in one case and the color of the table cloths being used for the party going on in the main dining room in the other case . :paranoid: :paranoid:

Aside from the ridiculousness of the topics and their sources (i.e.they use a Family Research Council study to say that 75% of lesbians have serious mental problems) the fact that the most interesting topic to the Conservadorks is homosexuality, convinces me that they are all gays who fear that they’re gay.
It must be nice to belong to a conservative think tank where you can just make up whatever data you need to prove the current talking point.
Vigilance committees :sheep: le vigilance committees
One would think that if it was just a ride on the :fire: you wanted KP that as long as you brought your batteries there would be no need to bring a toy. :reaper: :reaper:
Fred, I think it would be great fun to sit in a room and make crap up, especially knowing that there are millions who’ll believe and echo the crap.
I don’t think they require that you actually believe the crap. In fact, if you do, I’m sure they think you’re nuts.
In Red Hook we had a non-profit group devoted to promoting the business interests in the neighborhood over the residents, of course. There were a lot of Republicans among them (Republicans are a rare breed here) and they would lie about everything. It never mattered to them if they were caught lying. They’d just go on.
Their spokesperson was interviewed by the local newspaper three times one month. With each successive interview the number of businesses grew by hundreds and the number of employees by thousands.
When they were confronted with the obviously wild exaggerations they said something about how they were counting different things and went right on making crap up.
I have to confess, that I have spent a good deal of my life, completely flummoxed by what people do.
About as much as I did when I quit to go back to school. I was tired of doing web stuff then, and I don’t really like doing it now. I have a masters in telecom, but the experience in web and database work made it possible for me to get a job locally. So, whattya gonna do?
Speaking earlier in the day, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, declared that: “The workers at CBS News have been without a contract for close to two and a half years. It is my hope that both sides will reach an agreement that results in a secure contract for the workers at CBS News but let me be clear: I will honor the picket line if the workers at CBS News decide to strike.”
Hours later, her chief opponent for the nomination, Sen. Barack Obama, D-IL, weighed in as well, issuing the following statement through his campaign: “If CBS News is unable to reach an agreement with its workers and they decide to strike, Barack Obama will not cross the picket line to attend the debate.”
Finally, former Sen. John Edwards, D-NC, offered his support for the strikers, declaring that he and his wife Elizabeth “will also honor any picket lines at CBS News, up to and including the CBS presidential debate on December 10th..

From an old union talking blues:
If you want higher wages
Let me tell you what to do
You gotta talk to the workers in the shop with you
Gotta build you a union
Gotta make it strong
And if you all stick together boys
It won’t be long
Vacations with pay
Take the kids to the seashore
Ya gotta bring something for the kids, Fred. :tommygun: :fire:
