Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and his estranged wife are fighting a legal battle over Gracie Mansion. Donna Hanover asked a judge Monday to bar the mayor’s good friend Judi Nathan from the official residence.
Lawyers for both sides spent more than an hour in a closed hearing Monday. Court records show Hanover’s lawyers asked for a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction.
The issue is whether the mayor’s official residence should be considered a public place or a marital residence. Giuliani and Hanover continue to live there with their two children while divorce proceedings continue.

In Denver the mayor lives in his own house… Not some castle with Blackwater guards.. I would say that is not a public place. The governor on the other had has a state owed mansion surrounded by a steel picket fence with pointed spikes on the end of the pickets and has a double entry gate with a guard house..
