And so this is Christmas…. I don’t know what that means to you. I don’t even know what it means to me, to be honest. I kinda sorta remember what it felt like when I was a kid. Lots of anticipation over Santa’s arrival (I pretended I believed in Santa for a lot longer than I actually did, so I wouldn’t lose out on any presents; my parents must’ve thought I was kind of a simpleton or something), either going to relatives’ house, or having relatives come to ours, which was kinda fun. Turkey and pumpkin pie were always my favorites, and the fact that you got to have them twice in about a month was pretty cool. Plus you got a lot of time off if you were a kid in school, and that was great. Ah, to be a kid again. All the fun, with none of the bills.
Now, it’s just nice to be able to take a few days off, maybe spend some time with family and friends that you haven’t connected with for a while, and get ready for the Twilight Zone New Year’s Eve Marathon.
Whatever you have planned for today, have a good one.
Merry, merry all. Somehow, we’ve made it this far without Bushco blowing up the world.
I hope Santa grants all your wishes. :santacool:
We opened all our presents yesterday because little granddaughter and family were going to spend Christmas day with her other grandparents. We tracked Santa on Norad which she found very exciting and although they left fairly late last night, she was wide awake and very excited.
So, it’s relatively quiet here this morning. They took their dog with them but have left us their cat who will be staying for the week. I’ve got catnip toys for all the cats and I’ll give them to them later when I’m ready for the racing around that will follow.
Peace!

Happy Holiday :sheep: le
:rofl2: I can just picture PJ at 16 years old, insisting to his friends that there is so a Santa, don’t blow it for me!
Merry Christmas all. I thought I’d be going to the service at Trinity church in Swarthmore (they have an amazing choir and chamber orchestra) but I’m just too lazy today. I had dinner at my next door neighbor’s last night late. I don’t know how Gladys does it, her husband is bed ridden and she takes care of him by herself and then put’s together a huge spread for family and friends.
So peace and joy to Gladys, my brother and his family, and all my blog family here.
My mom forwarded this to me. Since yesterday Google has been acting funny. when I click on a google thing it doesn’t respond after several clicks and then it finally does. Clicking on anything else is fine. The blog was also missing it’s images when I got on this morning.
My mom used to try to take us to Christmas services when we were kids. We’d get to the church and there would be no parking and my mom would just say, “Ah, screw it” and we’d go home. Yay! :yippee:
Intersting. I just tried a bunch of You Tube links and I’d get to the page but no video. Everything else on the page was there ‘cept the video. No response from the back button. I just restarted and things seem fine now. Anyone else having problems?
We don’t need no stinking evidence.
McAfee says it’s a hoax.
Is snopes a legitimate source? I get stuff from my family and they always say its been cleared by snopes or some such thing and I always wondered if it’s some kind of neocon trick to decieve or muddy the waters.
It’s technically an urban legend page, I don’t know that I trust it with virus definitions.
The zero-sector stuff, and really the whole content of the e-mail are bullshit, but there were some e-greeting card scams going on over the summer. They were trying to get people to click on a link that would install a keystroke logger, if memory serves.
Peace
:santacool: :peace: :jesus: :cake:
Have a merrymerry! May none of your new goodies scream quite so much as this thing! 😯
:santacool: :peace: … BTW I liked the chicken poor chicken. Rats are 1/2 way done and soon Mystery Mouse :omg: :rofl2: :dancers: A!I!V! :santacool: :peace:

And A Dance In Your Step :dancers: :pup: :pirate: :cat:  :peace: :billcat:
We woke up to 3″ of snow in chrismorado this morning- now the wind has picked up to near blizzard conditions.
Merry Whiteout :santacool: to you and yours.
We’re settling in to watch “Fargo”, Mrs Claus’ new DVD- a little black humor during the snow.
I got the only thing I wanted for giftmas- “The Jerusalem Syndrome”
Vernon- thanks for both songs yesterday- I don’t remember “Slade” but I was concentrating on jazz that year. I thought that could have been a Beatles christmas song- liked the Ozzie-like yell at the end :omg:
Re #15 OMG! Nellie would love that thing so MUCH! :pup:
I just read about a strange beast Sue P first spoke of. Awwwchoooo :rofl2: … Rereading some of the “stacks” 🙄 … now must “FEED THE FIRE!” 🙄
Nice SlowJazz Song Jeff…from 60’s ….. Bumper at 3:36pm pst Very Nice. :santacool: :peace:
Hah! I’m…assuming Nellie’s a dog, since dogs and small children would love that sucker. I’m trying to figure out what would possess a person to make a toy with that kind of sound coming out of its mouth!
Back when I was living in the sticks with hubby’s family, something very much like that scream sounded in the middle of the night, right outside the window. Scared us both half to death, so what do we do? We go out to look for what made the sound.
‘Cause we’re smart like that.
We didn’t find anything, but we do now think that someone was sitting out there playing with that toy, now. 😛
Wait…Druid…what’re you doing to the rats?? 😯 Glad you liked the chicken.
Yep, Ex-Dead-Rats-Walking had 5 GEMS immediately. I was at first “weird” about having Rats … but soon fell for them and sad they are in their lucky last year, which has already started. 🙁 .
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl … 8) :pirate: :santacool: on ABC . Let’s see how far I make it through since I am watching up here in my bedroom 🙄 cuz I need to get under covers and get warm and snuggly. (Snug as a bug in a rug)… (I fell asleep during watching 1/2 way through SUPERMAN II. Rats.)
:santacool: :pirate: ….. :fist: :fist: :fist: A!I!V! :pirate:
