I didn’t pay a bit of attention to what went on in Michigan last night. It was fairly meaningless on the Democrat’s side. Supposedly, a lot of people wanted to see Romney win, just to keep him in. Personally, I don’t give a crap what these people do anymore. I’m just too damn tired these days.
Are the good guys winning yet?
So let me see if I have this straight. Willard made his millions by buying out companies, downsizing the employees and pocketing the savings, but this is the guy who’s going to RESTORE the broken economy in Michigan? How much crack are these people smoking?
Willard gives a shit about the working-class and middle-class voters of Michigan about as much as Larry Craig gives a shit about having sex with his wife. But at least it keeps him (Willard) in the race, emptying his pockets to beat the shit out of Walnuts and Saint Fuckabee.
And fuck NBC for throwing Kucinich out of the debate. Again. The media should not be allowed to decide who gets to run for president. Unless you believe that they already have.
:fu:
The good guys are all dead. Our only hope is the not quite as bad guys.
Apparently Lee Rayburn is now doing the morning show for AAR, at least for today. Nothing against him, but AAR used to have this really informative and funny show on in the mornings. I guess they think this is better.
:fu: :fu: :fu: :fu: :fu: :fu: :fu:
I’m going to put my finger :fu: down now, because I need to go to work. But I’m sure I’ll have it back up by the end of the day. Especially when I get home, turn on the TV and see the twenty-gazillion ads for Riudiani. Bald-headed piece of shit.
:fu:
That didn’t last long, did it?
:rofl2:
:joe: TEA CHEERS ALL :pirate: :yippee: A!I!V! :fist:
It’s not if you have your finger up, Kevin, it’s what you have it up.

Hey Sue, more Walmart crap you don’t hear about.
Why does the news have to report on American Idol?? My morning BM would be more interesting. Cripes! :crap:
The news and entertainment divisions have all merged.
The sad part is that – IMHO – American Idol is neither news nor entertainment.
As for you morning BM, if you set up a web cam, I’m sure you’d get lots of hits (mostly from Germany).
I keep seeing why Stalin did what he did :reaper: :reaper:
Because he was a murdering sociopath?
If you start your morning listening to liberal talk radio sitting on the toilet at the same time is an excellent idea. :tap: :tap:
Its not because Stalin was a “good” guy but we seem to be in need of a purge rather than an selection. Rethgs are 👿
You can’t fight cockroaches by “reaching across the isle”.. You need to call Orkin.. :reaper: :reaper:
There was only one show that was really ever worth a damn, and that’s been off the air longer than it was on the air, now. There were a couple others that were passable, but they’re mostly gone now, too.
Fortunately, there are plenty of Christian and rightwing stations to choose from.
I don’t want to reach across the aisle (or under the stall), but I’d just as soon set the bar a bit higher than Stalinism.
Aw, I feel so sorry for John McCain. How’s it feel, Johnny?
Have you ever noticed that when the politicians talk about how to fund these programs they are proposing they never talk about getting the money by cutting defense spending. ?? :tap: :tap:
Vietnam Veterans Against John McCain.
Interesting. That site is registered to Cindy Brochure, of North Carolina. She seems to be involved with the Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce/Kinston-Lenoir County Convention and Visitors Bureau, as well as the Historical Preservation Group in that area.
Re: 12
So, German’s are into the scat porn, huh. How do you know this, PJ?
All subjects & humours = & :rofl2: … well spoken ALL
:fist: A!I!V! :fist: Tea Cheers
Kristapea 😉 , I was going to mention 12 also, but I was going to “emo” about using this statement:
American Idol is neither news nor entertainment.
:rofl2: :fist: :rofl2: : A!I!V! :fist:
KP, I used to be a projectionist in a porn theatre (two of them, actually), so I know these things.
Heh. Every seditionist should have one of these.
KP, Walmart seems to be acting as responsibly as they did during the other Chinese product scandals.
This sentence comes from a NYT’s oped, this morning:
All economists know that when American jobs are outsourced, Americans as a group are net winners. What we lose through lower wages is more than offset by what we gain through lower prices.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/16/opinion/16landsburg.html?_r=1&ref=opinion&oref=slogin
I guess one of the gains is interestingly shaped chemical burns.
BTW, the rest of the oped is as ridiculous and disgusting as that sentence.
A little escapism for Sedetionists: Lincoln has posted more wonderful eagle pics from New Hampshire.
Re: 22. The Rethugs know how to destroy. They have proven this with our constitution, economy and voting systems as well as John McCain and Obama. However, their new Hillary film seems to have run into a snag.

Poor Rudy, beaten handily, again, by Ron Paul:

I’ll bet Judi is giving him hell. After all, she was counting on being first lady. Heck, she changed her name to Judith just so she’d have a proper sounding first lady name. What do you think the odds are that their marriage goes poof if he doesn’t get nominated.
Sue P :pirate: :yippee: …. 😉 A!I!M!
That oped is obviously written by an IDIOT MORON who believes that the advertised unemployment rate is correct … When the national average is 10 – 18 months between jobs its not 4 or even 5 percent. :tommygun: :tommygun:
Over at Sedertown, Sunnyland Jim has posted this link twice and it is a little tricky playing ( not sure why, maybe QuickTime) but give it a shot if you need a Maron fix.
Maron/Proops experiment!
btw, it is not a movie but if it turns out to be one for you, let me know or send me some of what you are on.
Better yet, here is Maron/Proops in mp3 format. I’ll put it over on the right, too. About 53 MB, 57 minutes long.
Excellent, pj! You have the best right going.
btw, there really is visual on the .mov link if you just give the thing a long time to load. I have not watched it yet. Send me some of what you are on anyway.
np Fat Headdie on O’Really :omg:

Emphasis mine.
I’m sorry. I don’t give a shit how he qualifies it. I can’t abide anybody including Reagan amongst “great presidents.”

:fist: A!I!V! :fist: :dancers:
Since I’m getting ready to move, I’m rebuilding the hard drive I had my Morning Sedition and Maron Show archives. I finally got the thing to mount on an OS9 machine after much wrestling with it. The question is: where can I upload these?
:cat: #31– Sue P — re Judith — when I think of her, I always think of Cartman & his song about Kyle’s mother — “She’s a bitch, bitch, bitch, she’s a big fat bitch” — no offense to female dogs. “Judith” is absolutely a blood sucking opportunist attached to “Rudy” who is exactly the same. I’m sure she will leave him in a heartbeat when he loses. They don’t have a shred of a scruple between ’em. :fu:
#38 — SBlue — lotsa tarps & bungees in this house between barfy/poopy (irritable bowel syndrome for the old kitty) and stinky doggie. I am constantly washing the sheets and various other camoflages for the tarps & bungees — glad I’m not alone in this!!
Siggy’s new buddy is a dream to take care of — no barfing, no shedding, no pooping, no peeing — but also not very animated
Dru — GET SOME SLEEP!! It’s Winter!! Time to  & hiberate as much as you can — you can stay up all summer!! :bee:
Well, time to
Later Bloggies :cat: :pup: :cat: :cat:
35W bridge update, for anyone who’s interested!
…off of what I remember from the news story last night, since I’m entirely too  and…well, no eating icon…so  that’ll be hungry…to go hunting for a link.
Preliminary findings ARE…the gussets were the weak points in the thing. They were only 1/2 inch thick, when they were really supposed to be a full inch thick.
For 40 plus years.
DOOMED from the start, to quote the news-caster. DOOOMED, I tells ya. :omg:
Apparently, renovations on the bridge done in the 60’s and 70’s added more weight, which added to the stress, and there was surface construction going on, which they said added more weight. They also said the “extreme heat” 91 degrees, had a big factor in it as well.
Never mind the fact the bridge was at half capacity, the river was way down, and Minnesota has experienced days of close to 100 while that bridge was at full capacity.
Though, to be fair…what weighs more? Resurfacing equipment or rush-hour?
These are just preliminary findings, yeah, but I’m still pretty sceptical about it. It could just be that there’s something a little bit too convenient about blaming it all on a design flaw, or that the original calculations have mysteriously dissappeared into the mists of time.
Or, y’know, I could just be reaction to the smug attitude Pawlenty was oozing when he was standing in front of the cameras and “suggesting” that his opponents revise their previous statements.
Actually, never mind.. here’s a link to the story. Hey, as annoying as I find Nick Coleman, it’s good to know that at least we can agree on SOMETHING.
Ugh. I think I’m gonna go attempt to wash this nastiness away. :peace:
re 48:
I saw that story this morning or last night on BBC and It does make sense. I f one gusset were to fail it would put more stress on the others causing a cascade failure of all of them. And don’t be fooled, there are plenty things built here bridges, pressure vessels, and the like that are built to a zero fault tolerance simply because it’s cheap. I inspected a cat cracker at a large refinery in Delaware that had a fluid connecting pipe that was deforming outward about 3″. They simply put anoither piece of steel around it instead of determining what had caused the connecting pipe to fail in the first place.
Most of the time when the gubberment asks for bids on things they specify the safety factors but all it takes is for the design company’s engineers to get a stamp of approval from some registered professional engineer that the design meets specs and it goes into production….
There is what is called the high bridge over the Mississippi river at St Louis a dual span cantilever truss bridge that carries what was Conrail ( probably now CSX) over the river .. It was the first welded all steel bridge built in the United Stats and went up in 1880 something…..The total span is around 4000 feet long. In those days the typical “heavy” train was probably several thousand tons if that.. .. Today one can routinely see three if not four loaded coal trains sitting on it waiting to get into the St Louis yard.. The “typical” loaded coal train weighs around 14,000 tons…. just the six to eight locomotives found on a normal coal drag weigh more than the whole trains it was designed for and they had no computers to aid them in their design…
Some students at MIT put the design into AutoCad and came up with safety factors in most supporting members of around 60…That implies that the bridge could hold a load of around 100,000 tons.. One has to think about how the designers pulled those out of their A*…
Railroads typically operate on the principal of if ain’t broken don’t fix it and most infrastructure is what ever they put in when they built the railroad in the 1890 – 1920 time period.. :reaper: :reaper:
Ah Fred, I missed you -I was exercising   A!I!V! but that was awhile ago and many chores later.
I guess I will just talk to myself. :dancers: :omg:
