This could be one of the ugliest Press the Meats ever, and the potatoheaded one has Bob Shrum, James Carville, Mary Matalin & Mike Murphy. And Mike Murphy is the pick of the litter.
On Faze the Nation, it’s Maverick McCain and the man who’s gonna change everything – honest – Barack O’Bama.
At Fux News Sunday, Weaselface Wallace also has St. John, but they’ll swap Obama for the woman who voted to authorize the war, except she didn’t know it was for war, so it wasn’t a mistake, Hillary Clinton. Plus the usual Fuxheads, of course.
Continuing the presidential round robin, George Snufalufagus has Hillary, but swaps out McCain for Mitt and the magic underpants. Then at the roundtable, it’s Clinton Press Secretary Dee Dee Myers (she was actually quite likable, unlike the evil nazi robot spokesbitch we have now), l’il Robert Reich, ex-Pentagon spokesbitch Torie Clarke and George :jerk: Will.
Wolf Blitzer’s Late Emission has Mike “hey, I’m still running you know?” Huckabee, Bill Bennett (on to take your action on the elections), Willard Romney again, and the man who helped get us where we are today (whether he’s willing to admit it or not) Ralph Nader.
It’s Mormon night on 60 Minutes, as they rerun a Mike Walace interview with the now dead grand wizard (or whatever they call it) of the Mormons, Gordon Hinckley, plus interviews with a couple of your favorite Mormons, Steve Young and Orrin Hatch. If you want more than Mormons, there’s also a Steve Kroft story on Dubai.
Oh, and there’s apparently some sort of football game on tonight, too.
That PTM panel ❗ :omg: Mike Murphy is PoTL. 😮
Not much chance I’ll sleep again this morning.
Thanks, Wanw. 🙁

Susan Joy’s obit.
I wanted to let her folks know the we’ll miss her. i left this for them there.
Susie Joy was a friend and is missed here on the blogosphere. We considered her to be interesting, compassionate and brilliant at times. Her art and writing were always enjoyed and will be missed by many of her online fiends. It was a shock for many of us to learn that she was sick. i can’t remember her ever mentioning it to me. She did use her time here well though. Susie was a treat to know and many of us will miss her. Hope she does well on this next adventure and I hope she puts in a good word for the rest of us.

I was listening to a rebroadcast of Randi, last night (one of those I didn’t really sleep well nights)….anyway, Randi said that if you vote for Edwards your vote will not be counted. The other day, Donna Brazile said that Edwards had made a technical decision to suspend his campaign so that he could continue collecting delegates. I don’t know which statement is correct but for those planning to vote for him, it’s very important (unless, of course, you vote with Diebold in which case that computer will decide for whom you vote and you won’t have to bother.}
Good morning, Druid. What time is it in SF?
I was waiting for a Voice from beyond to be a literalist :rofl2: but it is 5:26-ishAM. :pirate: :yippee: A!I!V! Plus computer was having a fit.
Top of the VERY early morning to you, Ms. Druid.
Dear New York Progressive Democrats:
Several of you have contacted me with questions about how the delegate selection and voting process happens in New York State. This is very relevant information for those who may want to vote strategically for delegates along with their choice for presidential candidate in the upcoming Super Tuesay Primary Election on February 5, 2008.
Well, I wish that the delegate selection process in NY was simple enough to convey in a short email, but no such luck. So I have included links to pages on the NY State Democratic Committee website that explain the whole process in more detail.
However, I can also distill the voter’s decision on delegates down to this “simple” directive:
1. Vote for the presidential candidate of your choice
2. Vote for the number of delegates you can vote for in your Congressional District– you can vote for less than the number allowed, but you cannot vote for more than the number allowed. You can choose the delegates you wish to vote for from any of the candidates’ lists of pledged delegates. For example, say you vote for Candidate A and you also vote for a delegate who is pledged to Candidate B. Your vote for candidate is still for Candidate A, but if Candidate B gets at least 15% of the vote in your district, then you will have furthered the chances of the “Delegate-who-is-pledged-to-Candidate-B” (whom you voted for delegate) being one of the delegates that represents & votes for Candidate B in the first round of voting at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, CO.
Wow– really “simple” huh? For more information, see the following links:
1. This link goes to an article which explains pledged delegates, at-large delegates and super-delegates and how they each will play a role in nominating the Democratic Presidential Candidate at the National Convention in Denver, CO. (Note: this blog was posted prior to Edwards dropping out of the race, but the information is still valid).

2. This link provides more comprehensive information on the delegate selection process.

3. This link takes you to the homepage of the NY Dems website, where you can find out all sorts of (hopefully useful & accurate) information on Super Tuesday in New York.

Good Morning, Thanks for posting the link to Susans’ guest book Wan!
Just a tad nit of bias but WTF :pirate: :yippee: 😉 A!I!V!
When residents in Illinois voiced outrage two years ago upon learning that the Exelon Corp. had not disclosed radioactive leaks at one of its nuclear plants, the state’s freshman senator, Barack Obama, took up their cause.
Obama scolded Exelon and federal regulators for inaction and introduced a bill to require all plant owners to notify state and local authorities immediately of even small leaks. He has boasted of it on the campaign trail, telling a crowd in Iowa in December that it was “the only nuclear legislation that I’ve passed.”
“I just did that last year,” he said, to murmurs of approval.
A close look at the path his legislation took tells a very different story. While he initially fought to advance his bill, even holding up a presidential nomination to try to force a hearing on it, Obama rewrote it to reflect changes sought by Senate Republicans, Exelon, and nuclear regulators.
Those revisions propelled the bill through a crucial committee. But contrary to Obama’s comments in Iowa, it died amid parliamentary wrangling in the full Senate despite removal of language mandating prompt reporting.
Instead, the new bill simply offered guidance to regulators, whom it charged with addressing the issue of unreported leaks.

Why job market is even worse than you think.
Nation’s first job loss in more than four years tells only part of the story of the weak labor market. The ranks of the long-term unemployed are growing.

sheesh!
what happens when you post to Obits at 4 AM :
“Her art and writing were always enjoyed and will be missed by many of her online fiends.”
and theres no way to do an edit…
(on the other hand if Susie Joy was around i’m pretty sure i’d have gotten a LMAO or at least a LOL from her.)
Here’s one for Vern.
Thanks, a, and greetings, fellow online fiends :hubba: :rofl2:
Well done, Sunny ❗ Just remember I gave you a pass. I’m sure the other SJ loves it.
Yeh, Sunny Jim, & & YEA  from a fellow friendly fiend & or fiendly friend :dancers: :alc: 😉 the “gangs’ all here  ..A!I!V!

Just watched the Declaration of Independence being read by old NFL’ers- WTF! How long have they been doing that? I just don’t trust fux sports-anything coming out of their mouths…, except that Pat Tillmans’ widow was on more than any others….., and Jim Brown was looking fine in his african cap 😯
Aw, I missed Jim Brown. But Art Monk is finally in the HOF, so that’s cool.
I hate having to look at belichek and his fucking red sweatshirt- the man has no respect :fu:
Must be nice to be able to afford an NFL team.
Having to watch Jimmy Johnson and Howie Long. That’s cruel and unusual punishment.
Having to watch anything on fux is cruel and unusual. I miss madden and crew. Howie long wasn’t a great player- just a dirty player
PJ, you say that about Art Monk only cause he is on the bored of trustees at ‘Cuse.
That wasn’t a better clutch received in all of football in the ’80s.
Is he on the Board of Trustees? Didn’t know that. Donovan McNabb is.
Monk redefined the position. More importantly, he is a class act, and he certainly deserved to be in the Hall before a dirtbag like Michael Irvin.
Typical selfish boorish behavior by belicheck to leave the field while his players have to stay on for one more second :fu:
:yippee: :yippee: :yippee: Giants! :dancers: :dancers:
On behalf of old farts everywhere- :yippee: for all the old Miami Dolphins- still the best :pup:
Great game. Belicheck is a selfish fuck. The Giants were truly blessed by having all those Syracuse guys. 😉
You see Doug Williams next to Terry Bradshaw? Hard to believe they both played the same game.
PJ R U Having Fun Yet? :40: :pirate: :yippee: A!I!V!
“fiends”
still LMAO on that one.
well most of her folks are bound to have a sense of humor…!
