More primaries today, somewhere or other. Supposed to be another Obama sweep, I guess. Eh, can’t say as I’m even interested any more. Except it’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out, I guess. Neither Clinton nor Obama look like they’ll have enough delegates to win, so somebody’s gonna have to be big about it and give up. Not sure I see either one of these two being magnanimous, so I wonder how this’ll work out. I say the hell with both of them – time for Al Gore to step in and take over.
Just found out somebody I graduated from high school with was murdered in her home in Boston. Very sad.
Looks as though her ex-husband bludgeoned her to death, then went on the run and eventually killed himself. A shame these people don’t just kill themselves first.
Unforgivable. That’s what you are.

I could point out that Amy won her Grammys without singing over her dead daddy’s backing tracks, but that would be rude. So I won’t. But I could.
I thought a Grammy was for music, not as reward for living a ‘clean’ lifestyle, or to be denied as punishment for having a substance abuse problem.
Shit, very few people would ever have won a Grammy if that was the case.
Next you’ll be telling me you shouldn’t get into the baseball Hall of Fame because you have a gambling problem.
Oh, wait….
Not a bad morning, today, but I think it’s supposed to snow, rain and sleet later. Can’t wait.
I agree, PJ, time for Al Gore to save us from the Rethugs and ourselves.
My boss is coming to visit one of the schools I’m in. Can’t wait for that either. Some :joe: :joe: is what’s needed.

Sheesh! Just say it already!
I had a SW Delco Dem committee meeting last night and apparently Joe Sestak was on Fux newsearlier in the day claiming that no matter who wins the primary he is casting his super delegate vote with Clinton. Not if we have anything to say about it. Unless Sestak wants rioting in the streets he must cast his vote with the overall winner whoever it is, you know reflect the will of people, that whole democracy thing. Someone from the committe has already been on the phone with his office so we’ll see what happens.
Maron v. Seder starting now
http://samsedershow.tv/index.html
Technical difficulties but double Maron.
Now Maron has IM mmaron . That should add even more hilarity.
PJ, what do you know about Qualxserv? I’ve been offered a job with them.
Maron very loud. Seder very not loud. Even after adjusting levels independently. Not good to have Marc screaming ‘fuck’ very loudly while I’m at work.
I think Sam suggested to Maron that the IM might not be such a good thing for him. Somewhat insulting, I’d say. Apparently, Maron does not have it set up yet so it will scroll. Anyway, the IM is ‘mmaron’ and the shoe is on the other foot today. Seder can’t get his shit together and is on cell phone speaker. He claims the audio will be OK on the VOD. What would be funny is if the VOD of this show ends up being Maron only.
Maron mimicking Seder at the beginning of the show was pretty funny.
What’s maron doing with his blackberry?
Sam’s mic doesn’t work :rofl2: . He is coming through on speaker from the blackberry.
Hey Andy, never heard of ’em. Found a forum here, and this one here. Looks like they do contract support for companies like Dell, and Apple and such. Sounds like how they operate and pay varies from location to location.
Doesn’t sound like it would be a bad deal, assuming they pay OK and can throw you enough work.
Had to turn them off. Too much freezing up (at least where I’m at), and couldn’t regulate the volume properly. Oh well. I think they need to come up with something better than this SmackChannel or whatever it is.
Thanks PJ, I just had a conference call with them @ 1100. They 32/call, and average of 5 calls per day up to 30 per week. We are considered part time. Of course no bennies, but welcome to bush’s America. I’m going to take the job. My biggest concern is my lack of notebook experience, apparently they even replace mobo’s on them, I’ll have all the tech drawings but still, it ain’t a tower.
Had mine apart all the way. It was a little scary at first, but not so bad. The plastic shit feels like it’s gonna snap off, and it’s all easy to scratch (might need to invest in plastic pry bars or something). Have to keep track of the way the wires are routed (like, from the wi-fi radio up through and into the lid, where the antennas are). Not bad though. If you get the Lenovo 3000 v100 stuff, let me know; I need to replace the DC in that broke. One of those forums I read said it was a good way to get some contacts with companies who don’t have the time or staff to do their own support, so hopefully it’ll work into something bigger and better for you.
I’ll be working strictly with Dell. I’ve got 5 business days to come up with 17 Dell certs. They provide all the materials and such so that shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
You’re right about the plastic. I replaced a fan on a VIAO a couple of years back and everything on it feels like it’s going to break.
Well Iv’e got aprint server in a church to fix, I’ll check in later.
Have I mentioned how much I appreciate that you guys are my friends?
Maybe they do need to look elsewhere but I think most of the recent M v. S problems in past weeks have been of their own making. Sam’s tech guy was trying to get everyone to update their flash player yesterday and today. I think those missing Maron sides in the VODs may be of his own desire.
Amazing turnaround (untested)
Today’s Maron v. Seder MP3 here
Today’s Maron v. Seder VOD here
although Maron’s monologues and signage while Seder struggled was not included on the VOD. There is more on the MP3.
Democratic traitor Senators who voted with Republicans to grant retroactive telco immunity:
Jay Rockefeller (D-WV), Evan Bayh (D-IN), Daniel Inouye (D-HI), Tim Johnson (D-SD), Herb Kohl (D-WI), Mary Landrieu (D-LA), Claire McCaskill (D-MO), Mark Pryor (D-AR), Blanche Lincoln (D-AR), Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Ken Salazar (D-CO), Tom Carper (D-DE), Barbara Mikulski (D-MD), Jim Webb (D-VA), Ben Nelson (D-NE), Bill Nelson (D-FL), Kent Conrad (D-ND), and Debbie Stabenow (D-MI)
Full vote. The amendment to strip the legislation of retroactive immunity failed miserably, 67-31.
I can think of no reason, other than they are bought and paid for by the telecom companies.
Dodd says it’s up the House, now, but he’ll “absolutely” filibuster any bill coming out of conference that contains Immunity.
Wouldn’t it be nice if one (or, god forbid, both) of the Democrats still running for president were out there standing with Dodd on this? Or maybe even out ahead of him?
I can’t believe Webb voted for that. I heard it on NPR on the way home.
Britain kow tows to China as athletes are forced to sign no criticism contracts
British Olympic chiefs are to force athletes to sign a contract promising not to speak out about China’s appalling human rights record รขโฌโ or face being banned from travelling to Beijing.
The move รขโฌโ which raises the spectre of the order given to the England football team to give a Nazi salute in Berlin in 1938 รขโฌโ immediately provoked a storm of protest.
pj, how did Clinton vote? What?! She did not vote?! OH, MY ๐ฎ !
No, she skipped the vote. Not too concerned about that, so long as she supports Dodd’s filibuster. What really pisses me off is 67 votes against. That’s a filibuster-proof margin. I really hope the House conference committee comes through, since we obviously can’t count on the Senate.
The difference in the meaning of the word pimping when used in reference to Chelse and that used when talking about members of the Bush admin is that Chelse is not a whore while the members of the Bush admin are. :reaper: :reaper:

Not to mention also that in the case of Clarence “Call me Bill” Nelson, he has the backbone of a sea slug. Florida progressives have GOT to find someone to run against him in 2012. He has sold us out at just about every opportunity.
Maybe he doesn’t give a shit about his freedom, but fuck him if he thinks he’s taking mine.
:fu:
And no, before anyone suggests it, I ain’t the guy. A single atheist who wants to curtail development? Pigs will fly before Florida elects someone like that.
It is snowing in Brooklyn and for the moment all looks clean and white. It didn’t rain and freeze first, and there isn’t a great accumulation, but it’s very slippery anyway, difficult to walk dogs and lots of skidding cars.
As for the Dems, if Hillary really wanted to get back in everyone’s good graces, she would have to really stand up to the Rethugs by perahps filibustering the telecom reconcilliation bill if it contains immunity, or putting her weight behind Conyer’s Impreach Chaney bill. It is really time to stop playing it safe.
And, I would support Obama with enthusiasm if he would do the same.
Jeffs’ on a good rant today! :growl:
Yeah, Sue, you’re right. She would soar ahead of Obama if she did that. Just one risk!
Obama takes VA
super delegates may be a problem-o. And that more than ticks me off about the dems letting off the telecoms….. I’m so sick of these guys.
Heard a great Big Band last night. since I listen to a lot of 40’s music, I thought it was terrific! Radke was awesome.
This just sucks! I didn’t get to cast my vote for the lesser of two egos.
Left my office at 4:30 to go home six miles and vote. My polling place is literally across the street from my apartment. Got in at 8:17! The polls closed at 7:00. Bloody Virginia ice storm weather! I-395 south closed. I-495 north a parking lot. I spent 2:15 on one three-mile section of Van Dorn alone!
And John Edwards is STILL on the ballot!
I highly recommend absentee ballots. Here you can drop them off at a polling place if you want to wait until the end. In Cali with our usual huge ballot of propositions it is a lot more enjoyable to sit down with the materials and maybe :40: and figure it out. Then I can still feel the thrill of going to the polls on Election Day first thing and walk to the front of the line and deposit my most recent exercise in futility.
My sister and father went with Hill today. They always vote for the losers, too.
Thanks for the traffic and weather report, NC. I could probably move back there and have a job but that shit scares me. And why the f* do they close the polls at 7 PM anyway?
they close the polls in GA at 7 pm, too.
That’s All I Can Stand, I Can’t Stand No More.
Obama deregularized Nuclear Regulations;
thus if one is for Obama, One is for NUCLEAR POWER & NUCLEAR WEAPONS.

Farmerkat re 39, that is despicable. I will sign as ALWAYS I do with similar petitions … but something more is needed since we sign … the Gov Adm says FU then we say :fu: and WE LOSE! I will probably use a bit of your letter since lately I am a bit more “bitchy” and condescending and misanthropic; thus, give off that aura, even in “things” I write. ๐ :fist: A!I!V!

I’m not sure where to go on either Nuclear power or shale oil ..
Power produced from breeder nuclear fusion reactors( all conventional light water reactors are fission reactors) would be almost free and as a by product would produce hydrogen gas in large quantities.. The reactors would be self regulating and not apt to produce another three mile island…. The breeder reactor also produces more fuel than they use. Uranium is not available in the quantiles required to make it a long term fuel on a wide scale..
Most of the shale oil in western Colorado is in deposits that are like three hundred feet thick but are also in the middle of thousand foot mesas so how do you mine it ?? I think of the messes made by gold dredging in the South Park area of Colorado and envision that 200 times over if they let private industry do the shale oil mining.
