10 minutes ago, at 6:30 AM, we got a call from the driver who is elivering our dishwasher. He’ll be here any minute. I’ve never had a delivery before 7 AM. I think it is my fate to have strange interactions with delivery folk.
Oh, yes, but here is a bit of good news for Italian women (shoot! I’m Greek! :rofl2: :
SueP, I kind of think whenever you encounter someone, there is a connection, even if you have eye contact with someone on the sidewalk, n’est ce pas?
FK, no doubt. But, at 6:30 this morning my eyes were shut.
In this county, the SBR according to Fred, we want the TRUTH about extramarital affairs. We save our lies for the little stuff like reading the whole country’s emails, stealing elections and going to war.
:joe: :joe: :joe: 😮 😮
:omg: :sheep: le already 😮 😮 😯 😯
In a race that has become surprisingly close, voters will decide today whether a Republican dairy magnate or a Democratic scientist will fill out the remainder of former Republican House speaker J. Dennis Hastert’s term in Illinois’ 14th District.
Democrat Bill Foster and Republican Jim Oberweis are virtually deadlocked in what should be a solidly Republican district in the northern Illinois exurbs, according to polls and political observers.
In the past few days, two independent political handicappers, Charlie Cook and Stuart Rothenberg, each have reassessed the contest as a toss-up instead of one that leans in favor of Oberweis. At least one poll has shown Foster with a slim lead in the final days of the campaign.

Lincoln Karim spent yesterday photographing some of the new hawk nests around the city. But, as a teacher, I have to agree with his commentary under the second photo.

It’s 3 am in the morning and the phone rings. Somone tells you in a hushed voice that your favorite democratic candidate has betrayed your party, your beliefs, your future your country by throwing the other candidate under the bus by favoring a rabid insane neo-con from the party which has destroyed the country , commited murder, spied on it’s citizens and shredded the constitution in order to further her political career.
What will you do……?, what will you do? 😮

Hey Andy. Didn’t see much in there to do with audio, I’m afraid. I’ll have to pull it apart again one of these days, and see if I can’t find a loose connection or something. Dell actually has pretty detailed teardown manuals online. I wish Lenovo did. I’d like to get my other laptop working again.
Thanks for sharing.
Which model, I’ve got some IBM disks as well.
It’s a 3000 V100.
The plastic part of the DC-in is busted. Odds are, it’s something that’s soldered to the motherboard, but it’d be nice to know if it’s not and is replaceable.
Spin the Bottle :40:
The notebook disk is in flash with videos, I could transfer the whole thing if you want. I doesn’t seem to cover individual models but I haven’t sat throuh all of it.
Well, I guess if you have time and you want to, that’d be cool. I think I’m just gonna have to pull the thing apart and see. I have to replace my pellet stove igniter, too. Just not feeling motivated. Got a sore throat, and feel like I have what’s going around coming on. Been hitting the oregano pretty hard to make it go away.
Oregano, eh? Is that what the kids are calling it these days?
:bong:
If your throat is sore, try gargling with something that has alcohol like Listerine. The idea is to change the environmental conditions in which those little buggies are presently enjoying themselves, in your throat. Keep doing it every time you remember. It really helps, but it takes consistent gargling.
I do not know if beer wold have the same affect. I think the sugar in it would just help to feed the bugs.
I believe in the solution of whiskey with sugar or honey
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/09/us/politics/09wyoming.html?hp
Brandy & a “touch” of Honey…..
I wonder if all four of the democrats in Wyoming voted in the caucus :tap: :tap: .
I think Whiskey and honey works best .. one has to wonder if the makers of NyQuil might try to make that illegal . :40: :alc: :yippee:
They say Alcohol kills all germs ( even the good ones not to mention a few brain cells too) :40: :alc: :nixon:
emergen – C stops must of the stuff I start get to get. I jamb that stuff down everyone.
hot water, fresh lemon juice & honey used here for sore throats, gargle w/salt water – feel better PJ!
Vern- what’s thuis about my  heartthrob, BB? (spin the bottle? The guy sounds too sad….)
Con Edison blames flat-screen TVs record high winter electric bills
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/2008/03/08/2008-03-08_con_edison_blames_flatscreen_tvs_record_.html
================================
See its all PJ’s fault. :tap: :tap:
Actually I find it hard to believe that a flat panel consumes more power than a CRT :reaper: :reaper:
I was about to mention salt water but thats no where near the fun :40: :alc: :yippee:
had no idea that flat-screens used that much energy. :tinfoil:
no, but the salt might actually help the throat!!!
We found that when we use Flat panel displays with the control computers in wafer fab that the UPS keeps things up about an extra ten minutes over the stations with conventional CRTs ..
Perhaps its the extra size .. of the TV replacements or ConEd is making a rather large ASSumption :tap: :tap:
Plasmas use a lot more. LCDs a lot less.
I have an LCD.
I would think that most :sheep: le that are buying new TeeVees to get ready for 2009 would buy LCD’s .. they are both cheaper and are in general more viewable under various light conditions.
I understand the Plasma displays have “memory” issues much like CRT displays. :yuck:
   :nixon:
ZZZZZZZ
There ya go, thinkin’ again.
