So, what’s up for today? More of the same, no doubt.
For instance, on Press the Meat, Timmy Potatohead hosts yet another battle of the surrogates. This week, it’s Obamite Bill Bradley vs. Clintonite Nita Lowery. Plus a roundtable of Dean David Broder, David Gregory, and NPR’s Michele Norris.
The parade of surrogates continues on Faze the Nation, as Bush Buddy Bobby Schieffer hosts Clinton guy Leon Panetta, and Obama speech writer supporter Deval Patrick. Plus NY Time hack David Brooks and the Chicago Tribune’s Clarence Page.
Yet more of the same over on Fux News Sunday, as Weaselface Wallace has Chuck Schmumer on for Clinton, and Chris Dodd on for Obama. He also has Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, and of course the usual fuxheads.
The Goebbels network breaks the pattern on This Weak, as George Snufalufagus has Nancy Pelosi, and a retread of Henry Paulson. Then at the roundtable, it’s the Washington Post’s Ruth Marcus, Time Magazine asshole Mark Halperin, political masternind Donna Brazile and George :jerk: Will.
CNN returns to the formula with DINO Dianne Feinstein for Clinton and Pat Leahy for Obama. Then Henry Paulson gets trotted out again, along with Clinton Economic AdviserccGene Sperling, McCain Economic Adviser Douglas Holtz-Eakin, and Robin Wright from the Washington Post.
Later, on 60 Minutes, Dennis Quaid tells Steve Kroft about his twins, and Lesley Stahl reports on the ‘Science of Sleep.’ I don’t know about the science, but I could sure use some more of it.
Have a good Sunday y’all.

OOOH! I slept very late today. What happened to the dogs? They slept late too!
Clifford the very fussy red cat, deigned to eat some “New England Boil”, and munch a few Iams crunchies. I am blessed, I guess. He likes those cat treats hubby gives him and all the foil bags, in which they come, have holes in them that Clifford has gnawed in his successful efforts to eat the treats when they have not been offered.
McInsane is n Iraq, today. A “surprise” visit. I guess he reassuring the troops that they need not worry about their families, as they won’t be coming home if he hs anything to do with it.
Nice NYC hawk pictures, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Wall Street fears for next Great Depression
The headline speaks for itself.
Bush is th embodiment of Herbert Hoover, who also tap danced and sang while the country was driven into the depression by laissez faire capitalism.
The next Great Depression should be pretty cool with a nation armed to the teeth this time around. :tommygun:
🙁 :pirate: :reaper: :dancers: … A!I!V!

JPMorgan Chase & Co bought stricken rival Bear Stearns for a rock-bottom price while the U.S. Federal Reserve set an emergency interest rate cut and opened direct lending to Wall Street.
The shock news, the biggest sign yet of how devastating the credit crisis is for Wall Street, slammed the U.S. dollar to a new record low against the euro and pummeled Asia stock markets early Monday.
“The fear is how many more skeletons in the closet are still there in the global credit markets?” said David Cohen, economist at Action Economics in Singapore. “This is another effort by the Fed to calm things down, but the cloud on the horizon is just how much more of these credit issues are still out there.”

AAAARRRRGGGGG
Came close to missing Sunday altogether :tap: :tap:
I wouldn’t be surprised if these investment companies have all borrowed in many cases through front companies that turn out to be fronts for themselves… $$$$ in the wrong hands( generally the hands of republicans) == the root of all 👿 …… :tommygun: :tommygun:
I have wondered where the $$$ came from that the FDR administration used to bail us of the first Republican great depression…. The Germans and the Japanese had a lot to do with providing Amerikans with jobs and putting some spendable income back in their pockets but who financed the WPA, The TVA and all the other infrastructure investment that took place. ??? :paranoid: :paranoid:
Of course the FDR admin didn’t find itself 54 …errr… 55….errr…56…….trillion in the hole to start with either. :reaper: :reaper:
I think Amerikans were pretty well armed in the 1930s too it was just that the population density wasn’t very high and every one was broke so it was of little avail to hold up the guy next door. One may have to see how well the gates in the gated communities work this time around….It may be a case of all of Blackwater’s horses and all of Backwaters men not being able to fend off the hordes of IDIOT MORONS with their 30-06s. :reaper: :reaper:
You might be gone. Well, rats and I am getting more tea :pirate: A!I!
V! and back to work
Well my goal is 25 or 30 :pirate: :joe: ….I might have to work at it. :tap: A!I!V!
