Today really ought to be a holiday. Or at least tomorrow. Aside from the big holiday, it’s also an exciting day because DirecTV 11 will be launched from the Sea Launch Platform somewhere on the equator. Hopefully it’ll be a successful launch, with the result being more HD channels in short order. For anybody who enjoys watching rockets blasting off into space, you can watch a live webcast of the launch here, starting at 3:30 PM Pacific Time (6:30 Eastern), with the launch scheduled for 3:49 PM PDT.
