About the only thing I have to say this morning is that Maron is on AAR at 3:00 Eastern. Be there, or be square.
And Happy Birthday, Roxie. I hope things are better where you’re at.

It’s wednesday, maron’s going to be on the radio, the sun’s going to come up………, but “Where’s Fred”? :omg: ๐ฎ
HB :dancers: ROX :knit: :cake: wherever you *fly* sniff  always :yinyang: :om: :pent: /|\ :peace: :billcat: :cat:  :gate:
Yesterday was warm and muggy until it got windy and rainy and then went back to muggy. Today is chilly and windy, although yesterday it said today would be warm. :fustrate:
What a sad birthday. Roxie you are missed. :gate:
Fred, you are missed also. I hope you are OK.
Did anyone else catch the discussion of Scott McClellan’s book on MSNBC last night? Sounds like he’s throwing Cheney, Rumsfeld, et al. under the bus for lying to America and (more importantly) to him, but he seems to be giving the Chimp in Chief a pass for also being lied to, assuming W wasn’t in on the conspiracy. Puh-leeze.
I’m not buying the premise that McClellan has blood-free hands, let alone Bush, but this might be interesting reading if it could start the war-crimes machine into motion. However, I will feel extremely shitty if I buy this book and not David Sirota’s, which also goes on sale this week or next. Guess I have some reading to do.
McClellan’s going to be on KO’s show monday. Should be interesting. Probably all the good stuff will be quoted for free.
Fun watching those f-tards on The Today Show, Matt Lauer, Timmeh Russert, and David Gregory breathlessly reporting on McClelland’s book. You could see the vapors coming on as they were heading to the fainting couch, incredulous that these facts were coming to the forefront.
The sad fact is that there is nothing new in Simple Scottie’s book. We already new everything in there, and if it wasn’t for the blogs and Democracy Now and early AAR (gasp). Last night, Malloy was more upset at McClelland than anything in the book. Matt would never report it. Russert actually got a dig in there, saying it sounded like something that came out ov MoveOn.org. :sammy: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
You can’t kill me, I’m sacred life!
Grey Day
Happy Birthday, Roxie! We miss you! And happy birthday today to my 11-year old son. Late May is a great time to be born along with all the birds and flowers of spring. Perhaps some future great is being born today.
And we get Maron today in the NYC studio so hopefully he’ll have some company in the studio and it won’t be Don from Levittown. Don isn’t bad but Maron’s better with a crew and there’s a better chance of assembling one in NYC.
Happy birthday to Colette’s son. Please tell him that we are trying to leave a less screwed-up world for him.
White House spokeswoman Dana Perino called McClellan’s description of his time at the White House “sad.”
“Scott, we now know, is disgruntled about his experience at the White House,” Perino said. “For those of us who fully supported him, before, during and after he was press secretary, we are puzzled. It is sad. This is not the Scott we knew.”

He’s disgruntled, now. Must be something he got AFTER his great experiences with Bushco.
whatever
:cake: :knit:
In 1999, at a hotel suite “somewhere in the Midwest,” McClellan recalls the Bush mind when dealing with rumors that the then-Texas governor had used cocaine.
Writes McClellan: “‘The media won’t let go of these ridiculous cocaine rumors,’ I heard Bush say. ‘You know, the truth is I honestly don’t remember whether I tried it or not. We had some pretty wild parties back in the day, and I just don’t remember.’

Thanks, Sue.
Things looked much brighter in 1997 when he was born.
One hopeful thing for him is seeing Obama run for president. I was
and Edwards supporter but he quickly became excited by Obama; a guy with an African father and an American mother just like he has.
It scares me to think what my son is inheriting, especially in terms of the environment and the economy. But some ways, are getting better. It is actually hard to explain to him some of the nastiness of the presidential race. Why would voters have trouble voting for a female or a black candidate? Why shouldn’t gay couples get married like anyone else? The case against prejudice seems much more obvious to him than it did to the folks of his parent’s and grandparent’s generation.

Well played.
One of the best songs ever written and seriously appropriately perfect. I must say Tom has a bit of an Andy Kaufmann quality
My 2nd choice
More California voters now support allowing same-sex marriage than oppose it, according to a new poll released Wednesday.
The results mark the first time in over three decades of polling that more California voters have approved of extending marriage to gay couples than have disapproved, said Field Poll director Mark DiCamillo. The survey of 1,052 registered voters was conducted over the phone.

The poll found that 51 percent of respondents backed legalizing same-sex marriage and 42 percent opposed it, DiCamillo said.

Well done, Californians!
Is it just me or is the happiness of some of the newly-married same-sex couples contagious? In Mass. and now in California, I can’t help but feel
joy when I hear the stories of individuals who have waited years to marry and now feel they can live their dream. I don’t know these folks but I feel a sense of joy and liberation watching them just as I did when I watched Nelson Mandela walk out of jail. My neighbor, who is part of a same-sex couple, worries that California will pass an amendment prohibiting same-sex marriage. But when I see the individuals celebrating on TV, I believe it will not happen. You just can’t oppose all that happiness or put the genie back in the bottle.
When Ellen DeGeneres gets married (later this summer?), opposition to same-sex marriage will crumble. She’s mainstream.
No stream for me here at work, I guess. Too bad.
he’s in nyc
AAR stream is working fine
They throttle down the Internet connection for streaming media here at work, so it’s constantly rebuffering for me. I get a few words here and there, and then it drops out. Sounds like they’re having fun, though.
re 11 whatever … so Well Said, sniff :embrace: aka
She and her Sister did leave special gifts…she gave one from her and her spirit sis and ….to further destiny, you, Heron, passed on some which was meant to be seen ..and embraced ……..

my smaller replica is “put” in a special place in the 80’s (which is downstairs) or it was stolen as some Quartz Crystal figures were … luckily not the real Q.C. Balls … Cheers to the late great Mystic Eye and those I met there…

I think AAR throttles down their streaming capability when someone with a popular following is on air. It took about five minutes for my at home computer to stop buffering. It never takes that long for nova m- it’s always pretty instant.
:fu: – now is stopped after two minutes. ๐ก
It came right up strong through Itunes.
Who’s playing the congressman?
Me too tried for five minutes to get it started ๐ But I am listening to the last 1/2 hour. Hope there is a link to the whole show soon.
How do you add an image to your profile?

I had the same problem. The stream was about five minutes behind real time. But knowing AAR, I considered that it might be a problem on their end, especially given their history of screwing over certain former employees.
David Gregory said McClellan will be on KO tomorrow- friday.
I watched Gregory and all the “insider” on his show excuse themselves for covering the build-up to the war ‘as best they could’ they were subject to the same propaganda that was being foisted on all of us.
If only there’d been, say, an alternative source for news…perhaps an internet or say, some alternative radio information

Where’s Fred? Hell, I’m still working on where’s Waldo…
Nothing from Fred since the tornado ๐ฏ
Fred was AWOL well before the tornado.
Mike Malloy regarding Evan Cohen:
FRED … this is a difficult period for similar signs … accidents abound … paranoia is bountiful … so how the BLANK are you…? You should use what you ALWAYS have said first… but with colours for an ICON… I wonder where is “the elan”? (I would say, “where is ‘my elan’ but that sounds kinda possessive …giggle) :hubba:
Another great song
What a setting for a concert. Tough choice, I’d be on the water maybe.
