Hey, how about that weather, huh? It’s something, isn’t it? And that other stuff, too. That’s amazing. Yep, sure is.
I hope that was sufficiently non-confrontational.
Have a good day. If you want to. If not, that’s cool too.

Spotted on Buzzflash so it must be true.

Did anyone listen yesterday? Audio archives?
I caught yesterday. Vernon posted a link to the VOD on last night’s thread. At one point, you can see Mark Reilly behind Sam, chatting with Rachel Maddow. They tried to get him back as a surprise special guest for Maron, but they couldn’t track him down.
I spent most of last night watching the DNC. No matter the media-driven suspicions raised about the Clintons, I thought they both came through big-time in the end. I still have a hard time watching Bill… :jerk: :barf:
Biden is a good attack dog and has passed his share of good legislation but did anyone notice his threat of a new war in Afghanistan that was a small brief reference in his speech?
RNC seal………., :rofl2:
Didn’t watch last night. I decided to go to bed nice and early. I’m feeling pretty good about that decision right now.
I’m kinda sorry I didn’t take off the week and go down there. I just don’t get to merge with my progressive bretheren enough in my cloistered life. Who knows? This might be the last time to party :tinfoil:
You could have gone in drag and infiltrated the PUMAs.
My gold lame is at the dry cleaners.
I think this time of year a nice pink chiffon would be lovely. Or maybe a grey poupon.
May I borrow your grey poupon?

I don’t think I can stand another day of Seder saying, “uh…uh…” throughout the intermittent tech woes.
Great interview with Brad Friedman about
-our corrupted voting system;
-why Colorado will probably be counted for the thugs:
-and the nearly complete corruption of the democratic leadership
(read the comments section at the bottom also)

Hangin’ Chads in Alaska
I really like the GOP seal.
Lincoln has posted some photo from Denver;

I may print that out and put it on my truck, PJ! :rofl2:
Maron should really be doing his on show on the web completely independent of Air America.”Screw me once, shame on you. Screw me twice, shame on me.” That’s how I see things playing out. Or tertiary in his case, whatever that means.
Maybe Maron just needs some extra income to get him through his divorce.
A Washington law firm filed a lawsuit yesterday against KBR, one of the largest U.S. contractors in Iraq, alleging that the company and its Jordanian subcontractor engaged in the human trafficking of Nepali workers.
Agnieszka Fryszman, a partner at Cohen, Milstein, Hausfeld & Toll, said 13 Nepali men, between the ages of 18 and 27, were recruited in Nepal to work as kitchen staff in hotels and restaurants in Amman, Jordan. But once the men arrived in Jordan, their passports were seized and they were told they were being sent to a military facility in Iraq, Fryszman said.
As the men were driven in cars to Iraq, they were stopped by insurgents. Twelve were kidnapped and later executed, Fryszman said. The thirteenth man survived and worked in a warehouse in Iraq for 15 months before returning to Nepal.

You think Maron is packing up and moving back to NYC for nothing? I would guess the boys are going into this with eyes wide open. AAR is in new hands and it appears the new ownership is starting to make some moves. Judging from how Marc was joking about Mark Green the other day, it seems like the power is shifting. I am wondering if Riley is hanging around because he thinks he might be able to get back in.
I have been making Breakfast with Jill a habit. Today a great piece about how the media will be framing O’Bama’s Mile High acceptance tonight. I was thinking we should have taken up a collection to send Jill to Denver but I think she is doing much better from afar (note Seder’s comments from yesterday about actually being there but not really).
Just imagine what Jill might do after her job ends tomorrow. Best wishes to her as she makes this new ‘transition’.
:gate:
I may have to do this tomorrow if I don’t have too much convention fatigue.
Zombies of Eureka
I think he mentioned that he was glad to be getting health insurance again. Plus, you can see how wonderful the independent Sammy technology works. If they’re going to be doing this, they need at least some basic level of tech support, and somebody to pay for the bandwidth to get the show out to people. I think I read a while back that AAR was paying $4,000 a month for the bandwidth required to keep the Air America Place free podcast archives going alone.
Now, that doesn’t mean AAR will actually have its shit together, of course. I wouldn’t trust them one bit, but hopefully they’ll try and do this the right way.
I’ll pay to support Marc and Sam’s efforts, but I have to admit I’ll need to hold my nose if I have to send money to AAR.
It seems like the video out of AAR studios has worked OK, not that I monitor Lionel cam or others. The AAR end of SammyCam always seemed to work fairly well. I hope they get Lauren in the mix. Also, it sounds like Brendan McDonald is on board from the outset.
Opportunity is limited in liberal talk so you have to take what you can get and try to cover your ass as best you can. I think it’s a good idea that they use the internet instead of radio because they have a better chance of forging their own path.

:yippee:  NICE JOB, LADIES!!! :yippee:
This guy is a brain.
Good clip, RG.
I hope we see some Riley later today.
John McCain goes to AFL-CIO and offer workers $50 perhour to pick lettuce for a season.
I wouldn’t hold my breath on the Riley now that Marc has had 24 hours to find out who the ‘guest’ is if he was indeed the one. Maybe they can bring back Sarah.
Vacation continues. I had planned to see Vicky Cristina Barcelona today, but I stayed up too late last night and slept in accordingly today, and now I don’t feel like it. Maybe tomorrow.
Nice Republican seal at the top of the thread. Next week should be a toe-tappin’ good time for those fellas. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Does today’s thread seem a little different? Less agitiation, perhaps? At least Speedy was fun to fight with sometimes. 😀
Toe tapping is sooooo gay! Just like gays have supposedly ruined the word gay, I think repugs have ruined toe tapping! What am I spose to do when I like a song, sing?? You wouldn’t want that, trust me! :smack:
:tap:
:ear:
:tap:
This could be fun
Marc Maron
Marc Maron is doing a load of whites.
or else he is doing the same laundry as me.
Sarah! I called it.
I love it when Sam and Marc bicker! :rofl2: But I can see how it makes people uncomfortable.
I’d much rather see Riley than Silverman.
I didn’t mean to drop my coffee on the blog :joe:
Not me. Riley never brought much short of radio vet as things went.
Now News daddy would be a whole ‘nuther thing.

wait…never mind
Greetings from Svetlana land.
A drismal day half way around the world. :knit:
Wish I could listen to the stream -is there a link?
Riley I thought, was the perfect foil for Mark. Part of the reason MS was a great show was the chemistry between them.
or here
http://www.samsedershow.com/YKCam
You don’t need to bring much to be a foil. Don’t get me wrong. I liked Mark OK.
Blue, Here’s the link:

Just amazing…The stream is perfect by wireless, by satellite in St Petersburg, Russia. There is no excuse for this not to work eventually.
My battery is almost dead and my dogs are barking and I don’t have my headphones
Your dogs are barking?
Marc is stuttering a bit.
Good night sheeple….
:knit:
Sam don’t rub your eye! :yuck:
Say Hi to Marc for me Travis!
You are going to the show right? ❓
Marc and Sam bickering. :rofl2:
Call me prejudiced but I i find it funny when Seder 🙄 s Marc and Marc is usually right yet Sam acts like he is somehow superior to Maron. Not an endearing quality.
That worked pretty well, today. And ended right on time, so I guess now I can head out to the park with the boys.
Yeah, it did work pretty well. Not much utilization of the star with all those tube hits, though.
Thought it was pretty funny she was just hanging out and blogging.
Nuremberg rally
Hey, this is probably a little late, but I’ve set up a chat room for Oama’s acceptance speech. If anybody cares to hang out:
http://morningseditionists.com/mschat3/
Audio DL for today’s Maron v. Seder, again courtesy of Jmach1JP
I invited all kinds of “famous” people, so who knows who might show up? Be there, or be square.
Probably none, actually.
What time is the speech?
10:00 eastern.
http://morningseditionists.com/mschat3/
I’m signed in at the chat but it’s not showing up. Maybe there’s a huge delay 😯
anybody know where i can find the audio of this speech?
Try CSpan, I think they have radio feed or try NPR
RG- what else have we got? where else do we go? you’re sounding a little like D 😮
npr maybe i checked cspan

I want to watch the O’Bama speech again first and watch some chatter.
Good speech; I was surprised by the tough talk about McCain and the
steely eyed looks delivered directly to the camera.
But…among the promises of what he would do as President, I really
needed to hear that he would restore our Constitutional rights; stop government torture and spying on us; restore habeas corpus rights. Did I miss something? On the anniversary of the MLK speech (“Free at last, free at last, thank God almighty, we are free at last!”), I wanted to hear about our rights and freedoms. Did I miss something when
I went to the kitchen for peppermint ice cream?
Holy CRAP! We just had a storm like I’ve never SEEN! I think we had a micro burst because everything is FLATTENED! The big Mesquite tree in my front yard is UPROOTED! 🙁 :holla: We had to help bail out my neighbor that lives in the guest house. No way to keep it from coming in, only thing to do is bail out!! :fire: :fire:
:pup: thx vernon
