Why is this thing not over? I mean, really?! Why? Is it a Black thing? Is it a Smart thing?
Why is it not over?
Good morning, everyone! I sure hope pj wakes up and replaces this.

I just had a quick look at the postgame reports. Seems pretty clear that Obama “won” (whatever that means), but I thought it was more of a tie. And McCain wandering aimlessly around in the background looking for brains (or whatever he was doing) wasn’t going to change many votes. Calling Obama “that one” probably wasn’t too smooth, either. Basically, if you thought McCain was an asshole before the debate, then you still think he’s an asshole. If you thought McCain was great before the debate, well, then you’re an asshole (no offense).
The real loser, IMHO, was Tom Brokaw. What a schmuck. Time to put him out to pasture.
The good thing about lst night’s debate was that I had NO diffficulty getting to sleep, when it was over. The bad thing was that I had to listen to and watch McLame, who should not march round stage looking so stumpy and spastic.
The “that one” remark was the most memorable moment which is a sad comment on the performance. Now he and the lovely moose killer can go back to inciting riot and racism.
Work beckons! Gotta go!
Damn, pj, I meant it. You could have just taken me right off of the top.
I watched the thing again since the chat is usually better anyway and distracts and I was even more appalled by Brokaw. I thought he was out to pasture and just came back to save the GE network from out and out warfare from everyone looking to ascend to the Russert throne.
Too bad Spivak is probably dead or that they did not go with Gene Shalit.
McPOS must have been made to listen to this song a lot as a POS.
That’s it for the other one.
So, the National Debt Clock is, um, broken.
I had Grampy at 20 “My friends” last night. Did anyone count more?
Maybe that explains the lack of posts today, if people were playing the drinking game.
I neither drank nor inhaled, and yet I feel severely hung over today. Also filled with a fair amount of despair, for no apparent reason. To quote David Bromberg, “I think I got someone else’s blues.”
Big rally on Wall St., as the Dow is only down 189 points. Might be able to get ‘er down under 9,000 tomorrow!
McLame decides to vary the “my friends” line. Somehow this is not an improvement:
Sarah Silverman :hot: :hot: :hubba: on MVS today. They even took a couple of calls at the end of the show!
