Here it is, the night we’ve been waiting for, for what seems like years now – the final presidential debate of 2008. Tonight’s debate takes place at 9:00 PM Eastern time from the campus of Hofstra University. I can’t imagine how tonight’s ceremonies can actually change anybody’s mind, barring something really odd happening. Like maybe McCain flipping out and having his cheek lump explode, or Obama saying, “yeah, you know what, I am a fuckin’ Arab terrorist, and I’m still a better candidate than this pathetic, crazy old half dead miserable son-of-a-bitch you dumbass Republicans nominated.”
But that would be both interesting and fun to watch, and if we’ve learned anything from the first two debates, it’s that there’ll be none of that.
At any rate, much like a train wreck, I just won’t be able to look away. For those of you who feel the same way, the Debate Chat Room will be open for the festivities. Hope to see you all there.
Trooper Wooten, the Palin brother in law whom they kept trying to fire and Monnegan, the fired commissioner are both planning lawsuits against the Palins as well as the state.
Probably not the best news that Sarah has had recently.

I wanna see Grampy’s head explode, dammit!
Maybe Longoria, Pena, Upton and the rest of the Rays can take turns hitting it over the Green Monster. They seem to be good at that these days.
So, I went to canvas yesterday and Congressman Harry Mitchell visited us to thank us for our work. That was kinda cool. He was the one who beat J.D. Hayworth, blowhard sportscaster and asshole rethug in 2006 and now is a talk show host. I asked him about solar energy here in Az and he said that a deal is in place to build a 3 mile square solar panel field and that were working with Germany on the technology. Then I asked him about any efforts in education to help people who may want to make a career change to solar. He said there was nothing going on there and I told him to work on it. Since he was a high school teacher for years and years, hopefully, he will.
My horoscope for today.
Thank GOODNESS! Damned Mercury in retrograde seems to be the bane of my life!
Gee, mine says:
I guess I’ll have to tell my wife I’m working late or something.
way to go YarnHarlot! :knit: :knit2:
If you had plans with friends and family today then you should definitely cancel them straight away. There are strong indications that this could be an extremely exciting and romantic day for you that you certainly don’t want to miss! Someone special is hoping to have you all to themselves today!

Sarah Palin is in Syracuse today?
No way. We don’t allow her type in our town. Hell, we were one of the first places to pass an anti-war resolution back in 2002.
Dennis Hopper: have the drugs finally worn off?
This is great.
Sounds like Maron and Seder will be doing a post debate show.
Marc is in AZ at a truck stop, K-pea.
Here is some nay-Farias news from LTR.
Are they? Damn work rose up and interrupted me, so I didn’t get to catch any of it. They ought to join the chat with us tonight before the show so they can get a sense of regular ‘mericans are thinkin’, goshdarnit.
Oh those wacky Ohioans (you gotta click the link to see the mug shot).
The Dow is down over 700 points today. I guess they didn’t think much of grampa’s capital gains tax cut plan.
My Safari kept crashing with the NYMag article. Meanwhile, I’m looking forward to chatting with you guys later. I’m actually forgoing a debate party tonight (I’m still preparing for a craft fair on Saturday), so I’ll have a glass of wine ready for the drinking games!

A Middletown woman is accused of being disorderly in public — while wearing a cow suit.
A police report filed about the incident said Michelle Allen allegedly chased children in her neighborhood while wearing the suit on Monday evening.
Allen also urinated on a neighbor’s front porch, the report said, and was warned by officers to go home and stay there.

As a former Ohioan, I feel compelled to note that Middletown is in the southwestern part of the state, near Cincinnati. This is the area of Ohio that trends most Republican. As if that were a surprise.
My people don’t dress up like cows. They just tip them.
:rofl2:
Breaking news! Grampy and Caribou Barbie throw in the towel in two more states!

Wisconsin I can kinda understand, being the land of Russ Feingold and the devilish citizens of Madison. But Maine? Two-Republican-senators Maine? Granted, Snowe and Collins aren’t exactly fire-breathing right-wing loonies, but still. Interesting.
Just a reminder, the Chat Room is open, and things are starting to hop over there.
Holy CRAP! I had the 12 hour day from HELL! I’ll tell you about it later.
As for Farias. A friend of mine called in to the station to see WTF was up with Farias being gone so very suddenly. And he got this kind of nasty response, something like, “Oh, so how do you like your radio station being taken over?” He said it was very snotty. I’m starting to get very suspicious. :tinfoil:
Hi guys!
Mr. Fk’s web site is up. It’s the soft opening – beta stage but thought you might like to start keeping an eye on it.
xxoooo
you all may be in bed now, though. :sheep: :sheep: :sheep: :sheep: :sheep: :sheep: :sheep:
If I could figure out how to embed a video to start a thread I would try to save pj this morning but since I can’t, I’ll leave this here anyway.
