MYSTERY PRISON BUSES IN THE DESERT

On a recent visit to Tucson, where I was invited to give a presentation on monetary reform, I was disturbed by a story of strange goings on in the desert. A little over a year ago, it seems, a new industrial facility sprang up on the edge of town. It was in a remote industrial zone and appeared to be a bus depot. The new enterprise was surrounded by an imposing security fence and bore no outward signs identifying its services. However, it soon became apparent that the compound was in the business of outfitting a fleet of prison buses. Thirty or so secondhand city buses were being reconfigured with prison bars in the windows and a coat of fresh paint bearing the “Wackenhut G4S†logo on the side. more
Vigilance! I’m starting to get suspicious of our Gov Napolitano who is now heading the dept of Homeland Security.
In case you missed it…
:fist:
KP, I have no idea what the prison bus depots are but I have trouble thinking that there is any entity in the US which is capable of planning for a widespread crisis of any kind. Theft, yes! Control the population, I dunno!
As for raising revenue by fining everyone, that’s always been the way of NYC. Whenever there is a financial downturn in NYC, that’s exactly what happens.
Parking tickets are a big revenue raiser, lately. If you are parked at 8:01 on the side of the street with no parking from 8-11, you get a ticket. 8:01 is determined by the cop’s watch, not the parker’s.
One neighbor got a ticket for co-mingling recyclables. Did he commit the dastardly deed? No. But someone threw a can in his paper recycling bin. Go explain it to the judge (which requires taking a day off) or just pay the damn thing.
Giuliani liked ticketing jay walkers as part of his revenue raising plan. And, cameras at intersections are always good fundraisers, that is until their presence is noted and everyone makes sure to behave at that locale.
Re:#2 What would we do without the sanctimonious stupidity of Fox Noise?
You know the old saying- The couple that fists together, stays together. :billcat:
You beat me to it, Vern! :rofl2:
I wish someone would have video taped her reaction when she found out what fisting is. I bet the Obama’s got a good laugh over it too.
In Cali we have a budget crisis as you may have heard. Something about the repugs not wanting to have taxes for anything at all.
We also have a hands-free law that prohibits the use of handheld cell phones while driving yet I see countless drivers still talking on their mobiles. I usually notice because they regularly are the ones doing the stupid and the dangerous on the streets and highways. Tremendous untapped revenue stream.
I do agree with Sue :bee: that a lot of things like the recycle co-mingling is ridiculous and like airport ‘security’ just authoritarian population control.
Kp, it would have been my lead story at the Last Minute Post.
“When there is nowhere left for the news to
fistfit, there will always be The Last Minute Post.”I didn’t see it til after I posted else I would have posted that. I just took the first thing in my inbox from my friend who keeps me up to date on what’s happening on prison planet.
The Schwarzenegger Effect
Probably similar to what Sue Ellicott’s expression was when she found out what ‘poontang’ meant.
LOL! I had (almost) completely forgotten about that.
:rofl2:
The New York Times: All The News That Fists.
Hey Krista, don’t forget all the concentration camps built by KBR.
In Nazi Germany, Andy?
No right here.
