Sad news this morning: Trip will be raised by a single mom, as the shotgun wedding between Levi and Bristol has been called off. Gee, what a surprise; I really though they had a future.
Speaking of surprises, the Goebbels network actually debunked charges by wingnut tools Judicial Watch that Nancy Pelosi is always flitting around the world on military aircraft. Of course, these idiots never let facts get in the way of their talking points (especially when it comes from the “liberal media”).
Have I somehow missed the reasons why Meghan McCain has gotten her 15 minutes of fame (most recently appearing on Rachel Maddow’s show). I mean, who gives a crap what this chick has to say? It’s not like she had a litter of babies or married Brad Pitt or something.
So, looks like everybody’s favorite billionaire, Bernie Madoff, will be pleading guilty in Federal court today. They say he may go directly to jail, without passing GO. A shame they have to persecute the poor man, with their silly anti-free market rules and regulations and such. At least he’ll get a nice safe place to retire, unlike most of his “investors.” Personally, I think they ought to toss him over Niagara Falls without a barrel; if he lives, he’s free to go. Hell, if this guy can do it, so can my man Bernie. He might want to check out today’s Woot first, though (I seriously want one).
“Trip will be raised by a single mom, …”
I read that initially and I could not grok the grammar … an activity raised by a person? … never mind.
See, now, I think of the character on Star Trek: Enterprise (a highly underrated show, IMHO).
Anyhow, little Trip would probable be better off being raised by a pack of wolves; too bad grandma shot ’em all.
Ooh, I like this.
Jim Cramer from CNBC is scheduled to be the guest on “The Daily Show” tonight. Much amusement is sure to follow. Stewart hasn’t even run the video yet where Cramer is admitting using a million of his own dollars to drive certain stocks lower to make his hedgefund more profitable- something he said he would never admit to on television. ( I guess he thought a video camera didn’t count).I think Stewart will have a problem maintaining his comic ironic distance :slap:
Forgot the annual DST homage
Tripp — the littlest shrillbilly of them all.
Uh-oh. Big Love’s gone and gotten the Mormons mad at them.
Disaster morning! We got 1/2 way to work and the car, which had been running fine, stalled and wouldn’t start again. 1 1/2 hours later, the tow service and hubby were on their way to the service station and I got a taxi home.
I was counting on the car because puppy Lola is supposed to go to the vet to be weighed so she can get the proper amount of worm medicine that is part of the protocol for doing away with round worms with which she was born. Puppies are born with these parasites even though their mothers do not have an active infestation. I wonder how that happens.
She’s really growing, plumper and taller. In another week she’ll have all the necessary shots that will allow us to start walking her on the street…I hope.
The former chairman of the Cook County Republican Party denies he was with two prostitutes when his wife allegedly attacked him over the weekend.
Palatine Township GOP committeeman Gary Skoien (SKOY’-ehn) said Wednesday that two female friends were at his Inverness home around 1 a.m. Sunday when his wife assaulted him.

Seymour Hersh, in answer to a question, said the there is a unit called the Joint Special Operations council which was assassinating people on a list on enemies.
“Congress has no oversight of it. It’s an executive assassination ring essentially, and it’s been going on and on and on. Just today in the Times there was a story that its leaders, a three star admiral named [William H.] McRaven, ordered a stop to it because there were so many collateral deaths.
“Under President Bush’s authority, they’ve been going into countries, not talking to the ambassador or the CIA station chief, and finding people on a list and executing them and leaving. That’s been going on, in the name of all of us.”

I always wondered with that name if she has three…. Well, never mind.
I met Tavis Smiley this afternoon walking down the AVE. :yippee: It was bizarre because I was listening to him on KUOW maybe an hour before the encounter. I called Heron to tell her (and to catch up) but she’s busy doing business (and probably hates me) and I didn’t mention it. My incessant calling habit bugs the hell out of people, so they feel obligated to answer and to tell me to stop calling.
Why doesn’t Tavis officially change his name to Tavis 😀 ?
It would be symbolic.

cool trav! HERON – the only thing that has worked for my ole bod which looks like a road map of scars is silicon patches. A doc gave me some. You have to keep it on the scar for quite a while though. I think over the counter they now have those scar patch things and that is what they are. I’m still hacked up but it looks better I think 😯
love #5
and hope Lola got her meds
I did a google search and found out that Tavis will be at the Seattle Central Public Library tonight at 6:30. I think I might venture on down the road.
Koolhaas!
That Woot’s pretty cool but I’ve always wanted one of these, it’s a Mike Nelson thing.
I may have to repost this tomorrow.
That’s a yellow submarine, Andy.
