Today on Press the Meat, it’s two – count ’em two – exclusives! Obama Press Secretary Robert Gibbs talks torture, and Jordan’s King Abdulla talks about his meeting with fellow Muslim Barack Obama. Then there’ll be a discussion on the bogus “100 Day” yardstick with Jon Meacham of Newsweek and presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin.
On Faze the Nation it’s St. John McCain, Pat Leahy, Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Beast, Tina Brown, and Bob Woodward.
On Fux News Sunday, Weaselface Wallace has Larry Summers, Carl Levin and Kit Bond. Plus “Power Player of the Week,” commanding general of Walter Reed, Maj. Gen. Carla Hawley-Bowland. And a whole bunch of fuxheads.
At the Goebbels network, George Snufalufagus chats with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Then its a roundtable with George :jerk: Will, Donna Brazile, Matt Dowd, the New York Times’ David Sanger, and U.S. Editor of the Financial Times, Chrystia Freeland.
Later, on 60 Minutes, Lesley Stahl talks to VP Joe Biden, Scott Pelley talks about coal, and Bob Simon reports on an elephant orphanage in Kenya.
Have a good Sunday.
Is the elephant orphanage story a repeat? Hey Vern, have a safe trip.
This is rather interesting. If you’re going to drill, do it as sustainably as possible.
Had my welcome to OK last night. Tornadoes! (maybe we need a funnel cloud emo.) Home alone with 5 dogs. We had a slumber party! Wasn’t relishing getting us all in the shelter, though. Mr. Fk has weather jurisdiction in our family so he kept an eye on the OK radar even though he’s in Baghdad. That way, I could go to sleep knowing someone was watching. The city here does have sirens, though.
I never ( or nearly never) watch the Sunday bobbleheads. They usually say what I expect them to say and/or they talk over each other and/or the host is not knowledgeable enough or curious enough to ask good questions.
Lately, though, I’ve watch Fareed Zakaria a couple of times and, so far, I haven’t wanted to throw a shoe at the TV.
Here’s today’s listing for him. He’s on CNN:
Fareed brings together a panel of historians to discuss Obama’s first hundred days in office. Walter Isaacson, Jon Meacham, and Peggy Noonan share their insights into Obama’s successes and challenges. Plus, Niall Ferguson on the severity of the economic crisis, and Malcolm Gladwell author of Outliers explains whether or not there is such a thing as talent.
FK, a very long time ago, as we were passing through OK, there was a small tornado. Very scary. Stay safe.
According to CNN there are 20 confirmed cases of swine flu in the US, 8 in NYC (lucky us). Of course the NYC cases are in schools where sneezing and coughing kiddies, who cover their mouths AFTER the sneeze, and hug their teachers, spread all sorts of infections.
I can’t wait to get to work, tomorrow.
:hot: fucking florida………
And the best part is, it’s only April.
Wait until July! :hot: :hot: :hot: :hot: :hot:

Last week it was pretty chilly. Definitely jacket time. Today it’s air conditioner time.
Now, all the warming deniers, who take every snowfall as proof the planet isn’t warming, should (if only they were consistent) take today as proof we’re getting too hot.
Less than two weeks after raising the prospect of seceding from the union, Texas Gov. Rick Perry is calling on the federal government to come to his state’s aid in the midst of the swine flu outbreak.

When you believe in nothing, save having power, it doesn’t take much to do an about face.
Well, since Vernon is off to N’orleans, let me just say, I’m a fan of stringed instruments.
i’ve recently discovered the Gu Zheng.
And from investigation of that instrument I ventured into the awareness of the Japanese version called koto, and then to the Dave Brubeck quartet song by the same name. Flippin genius song
Not quite gone but busy getting there and listing stuff on Amazon.
That’s a great clip including Albert Lee, Vince Gill, Jerry Douglas, and Marty Stuart. This one with Tony Trischka and Bela Fleck is pretty swell as well. I always thought it interesting that the master of the 5-string banjo had a quintuple bypass.
I must say, it’s always seemed a bit unfair to me that somebody like Steve Martin would have been graced with the ability to be an exceptional comedian, writer, actor, dancer, and musician, while I got, well, none of the above.
I’ve been avoiding writing an essay due Tue. I guess I should work on that soon.
You forgot juggler, magician, and Balloon Guy.
