On Press the Meat today, it’s Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, plus Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, the totally irrelevant (to everybody but the media) Newt Gingrich, and Rev. Al Sharpton.
Over at CBS, Faze the Nation has Pete “Hokie” Hoekstra , the rankest Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, Sen. Pat Leahy, Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, the WaPost’s Dana Priest, and Juan Zarate, CBS News national security analyst.
On Fux News Sunday, Weaselface Wallace will whine about the Obama Administration’s insistence on relying on the US criminal justice system to prosecute criminals, along with Guidi Ruliani. Also on, Sen. Jack Reed, chinless f*ck Mitch “the prick” McConnell, and the man who is singlehandedly keeping us all from dying of the Swine Flu, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
The Goebbels network will have the two most qualified people on the planet to talk about foreign affairs, as George Snufalufagus hosts Former NYS Senator and current Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, and guy who used to mayor of a big city who appointed a criminal as Chief of Police, recommended the same criminal as head of Homeland Security, and put an emergency command center above ground in a complex that had already been attacked by terrorists, Guidi Ruliani. At the roundtable, it’s George :jerk: Will, former journalist Bob Woodward, the Washington Week’s Gwen Ifill, Douchebag Dave Brooks and David Corn.
At CNN, Fareed Zakaria Fareed gives us a sneak peak into the upcoming HBO film (it premieres on the 19th) he narrated entitled Terror in Mumbai (those attacks were just about a year ago, if you recall). Plus, a panel discussion on President Obama’s first trip to China and the relationship between Beijing and Washington.
Damn, half way through November already?
Have a good Sunday.
Crap! Now I gotta find another milk to make my coffee white. I’ve been told by many that rice milk or almond milk is better as soy has a lot of estrogen.
Mrs Art has been using almond milk for a few months. She just found ‘chocolate’ almond milk this week.
Question- How do you milk an almond? 😯
My daughter uses rice milk which, IMHO, has a nicer texture than soy which always looks too goopy to me.
First, make goddamn sure it’s a female.
I use Silk, but it doesn’t say “Dean” on it. It says White Wave. It doesn’t say “organic,” either. It says “all-natural.” It’s not goopy, though.
Otherwise the product may be goopy.
I tried many of the ‘milk’ products when my macro-psychotic ex-girlfriend convinced me that it might be good for me to get off the dairy cow but I slowly drifted back by way of the gateway of goat milk. (Oops, I just remembered to put my pumpkin ice cream into the freezer.) btw, she was not a big fan of the soy milk. Too processed.
I bought a lot of these products from Pacific Natural Foods and was very satisfied. Some of them should be available at Trader Joe’s.
Then there was this local product that got a lot of attention but it may be hard to find and I am not sure that it is organic.
I have tried lots of soy milks and Silk had the best texture and made my coffee sufficiently white. Goat milk is supposed to be pretty good but it’s kind of expensive for me. Maybe I will see if we can get goats at the farm. The chickens are doing good. Nothing like fresh eggs, man.
Rosco, the First Friday pup is quite a handful, but I have been anesthetized by his cute! :pup: I saw a sign for a lost dog that matched Roscos’ description but thank goodness it wasn’t him. I don’t want to find the owner, I wanna keep him.
:pup: love the puppy dogs, KP!
Who needs to drink “milk” anyway? Do other species drink other species’ milk? And maybe the milk products I do have is bad for me. :penguin:
Organic 1/2 & 1/2 for the Peets coffee and organic Greek yogurt for the cereal. Milk is way overrated. Can you tell I rarely drank the stuff? Except for awhile, my mom had a stainless commercial milk dispenser that kept the milk chilled perfectly and she only filled it with Jersey cow milk. Now that was drinkable (couldn’t drink it now, though). Anything else is blech…
and those have to be some tiny :boobs:
I haven’t drunk milk since I was a kid. I drink water. Oh, and an occasional beer. And coffee black, no sugar (I mean, why ruin a good cup of coffee by putting crap in it). I kinda like a little something wet on my raisin bran in the morning, though. Water doesn’t cut it, and it’s too early in the day for beer. So, being secure in my manhood and unafraid of a little estrogen, I go with the soy milk. And, what the hell, I’ve probably ingested enough pesticide in my life to become immune to it (and even if not, what’s a little more gonna hurt? I think it’ll be a stroke that gets me anyway).
I used to know a guy who would put milk on a bowl of popcorn and eat it like cereal, though.
And that wasn’t even the oddest thing about him. Not by a long shot.
milk & popcorn sounds soggy & sloppy
I like the taste of black coffee, but it looks odd if there’s no milk in it. Besides, milk has calcium so I can feel virtuous when I drink coffee.
We have stores out here called Grocery Outlet (aka ‘Gross Out’ in Berkeley, those wacky UC kids!) that sells closeout, surplus and near expiration type food items. I love these stores since they often have great deals and interesting and unique offerings. Somethimes they might have what looks like a product like something Aidell’s sausage made up and then decided not to take to market.
A while ago Ben & Jerry’s had a Cracker Jack flavor there that was a big loser. Those Cracker Jacks could not retain any consistency other than soggy.
Doesn’t milk contain enzymes that your body needs to break down the food you eat? (Which soy doesn’t have?). The God of Google isn’t clear about this. I guess goats milk is okay.
I love milk, miss the butter.
I love milk, especially with spaghetti. But mostly I just have it in my coffee. And of course for occasional baking and sauces. But I carry water with me all day.
From what I remember, raw milk has enzymes in it that help you to digest the milk itself (not so much anything else), but that pasteurization destroys those enzymes, making it harder to digest.
I seem to remember reading that milk is best drunk alone, ‘cuz it doesn’t mix well with other foods. Something to due with the fact that milk curdles as soon as it hits your stomach, and the “curds” coagulate around anything else down there, which keeps your gastric juices from breaking the food down, so the food putrefies. In other words, instead of getting digested, the food rots.
my brother has sworn by raw milk for years. I think when you sell the stuff on the mega-corporate scale, you may run in to problems. Hence, it has been deemed evil. This is only an anecdotal comment.
