There’s a bit of a pattern on the morning shows today, if you’re sharp enough to pick it out.
On Press the Meat, it’s a Haiti kinda day, with Bill Clinton, George two-terms mandate Bush, the administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development, Rajiv Shah, and the deputy commander of the U.S. Southern Command, Lt. General Ken Keen.
Faze the Nation has Clinton, Bush, Keen, Shah.
Fux News has Clinton, Bush, Keen, Shah, plus ferret face Mitch McConnell
On the Goebbels network, This Weak (no longer with George Snufalufagus) has Clinton, Bush, Keen, Shah.
CNN’s State of the Union has Clinton, Bush, Keen, Shah, plus Eleanor Holmes Norton.
Fareed Zakaria isn’t really with the plan. He looks at how Haiti’s past plays into its present troubles (pact with the devil, I guess), plus the gigantic Wall Street bonuses, and nation-building in Yemen.
Have a good one.
Trying to stay on theme but shill for friends, a friend and fellow SF Giants fan writes about a CD box set released by another friend and local.

Pardon my French
Pardon my English
Hey Jim,
I wouldn’t need the gauge if the table saw I bought wasn’t such a clunker. I had to build a sled just so I could get a straight crosscut. But I have to admit that was fun.
I was looking at this one.
Nice, the other one doesn’t read upside down I don’t think. I recently added a bandsaw to the rapidly growing shop at work, and I’m currently building a small workbench which I’ll use as a prototype for a full size one. I am seriously getting into the wood working stuff, it’s genuinely fun!
Yeah, I’m pretty terrible at it, personally. That’s why I don’t think I’ll be needing to measure my bevel angle down to .01°. The weak link is me, not my table saw. I’m kind of in the caulk and spackle school of carpentry. My dad was really talented. I’m amazed at what he managed to do with just the most basic of tools.
I’ve never been really good at it either, but recently build projects have come up at work that have pushed me into woodworking, like the xmas table display. Wasn’t sure if I could do it, well lo and behold I pull it off and make the top section rotate. I’m getting better with each project (my circles now look like circles) and I really like learning something new.
I like doing it, too, even if I do suck at it. I just wish I had a real workshop. The garage just doesn’t cut it.
I just found out the manager at our store passed away. Holy crap he was around my age.
That sucks. I hate it when people my age die. Although, it gets more commonplace with every passing year.
On the bright side, GO JETS!

Major life decision. Do I start watching 24 again? Sat out the last season.
Vern, I will start a season, but can’t remember the last time I actually finished watching the entire season. Don’t think I’ll bother starting this time ’round.
Watched McLibel. I’m a little behind, I guess. Those are two amazing people. It was an interesting documentary, especially after seeing Food Inc.
Well, I sorta watched some of it and it was OK but I am always suspicious of the underlying motives of the producers and the network. Interesting the guy in charge is a CYA African-American who’s getting heavy on a pretty blonde who can’t cop to an affair with a Middle Eastern leader and a lie detector is the only ‘tool’ he has to use now. Not sure if he was there last season. Some really classic Chloe faces in there. :40:
