They said the snow would stop around midnight last night. They lied. It hasn’t stopped yet. I don’t know how much we got, but all the schools are closed, and I thought maybe after I plowed at around 6:00 last night, I could get away without doing it again this morning. Looks like I was wrong about that. So, time to finish up this cup of watery coffee, and put in some tractor time. It’s cold, too, damnit. In the teens and windy. Plus, listening to the sump pumps run all night kept me awake. I know it’s only if I don’t hear them that I need to worry, but my brain refuses to listen to me. Not the first time for that. Oh well, I guess I better saddle up.
Air quality sucks here at the moment. I’ll trade you weather, pj.
I need some levity:
Well, after the morning snow (between a foot and 30″, depending on where you live), it turned into a bright and semi-warmish day. Clear skies tonight should cause the temps to plunge down into the single digits, so it ought to be a nice brisk morning tomorrow.
Syracuse got a measly 13″ (I think we were closer to the 30″ range out my way), but that was good enough to bring this to #4 on the snowfall list at 173.5″ for the season. And counting.
On the bright side, it forced Governor Andy to wimp out and skip his scheduled propaganda trip here today.
Lessons of the day: Don’t fall for the wooden spoon trick, feast off the bones of trolls while winning, and listen to more worldly music.
