Too tired to insult the states of Arizona and Texas today, and what with the South being flooded, I guess I should leave them alone, too. Things are drying up around here a bit, with the sump pumps running a mere 5 times an hour. Before you know it, the sump pond will be all dried out (which will give me a chance to dig it out a little deeper). Looks like the farmer dude managed to plow at least part of the cornfield yesterday, which is good news for the cows. Yesterday was a beautiful day, and today is supposed to be even better. Seems a shame to spend it locked inside a windowless office. At least I can spend my day trying to glean information on the Royal Honeymoon, and relive the good old days by watching the Osama home movies. Hopefully (unlike yesterday) I can also get away from my desk for a few minutes to get some fresh air. Before you know it, it’ll be so hot that I won’t wanna leave the a/c. I suppose I ought to think about getting the pool open. Assuming all the shit works. I have no idea when it was last in use, and am not really sure what I need to do. Hopefully just open the valves and run the pump (and dump whole lot of chemicals into it, which I don’t really want to do, but converting it to a saline system just aint in the cards this year). Oh well, time to go seize the day.
So, Maria Shriver finally decided she had had it. Perhaps she saw one of his movies.
When I get to school this morning I will have to walk up a long flight of marble stairs to enter the building lobby. Then another long flight to get to the office. Then 2 more flights very long flights to get to the first class. (The school has 18′ ceilings so it’s a long climb. By the time I get to the top I’m already tired. But, then rather than carpe diem I can carpe spiritum which at that point will be coming in short spurts.
Opening on the today show for Maria …err .. no, it looks like Ann Curry finally got her chance
The Jonathan Winters WTF was the best thing ever. Like Maron said it was like listening to a Buddha.
Sad too wake up this morning and discover that it wasn’t all a bad dream.
Thanks for the Winters tip. I don’t always get to WTF right away.
Well, I tested the the little kindergarteners today. It was as difficult and disturbing as I thought it would be. One little boy cried. All of them tried to help each other and all of them checked the answers of their neighbors for support and verification. The only thing that can be learned from the results of this test is how stupid the testing is.
Hey Vern, you still have contacts in the music business? Like the kind that can help me get a job touring with a band.
Sorry, Travis. Not really.
