They promised us a warm(ish) sunny(ish) day yesterday. They lied. Or, they had it bass-ackwards, ‘cuz they said it was gonna be nice early, then get increasingly cloudy, then have some scattered showers. Instead it started out cloudy, got cloudier, rained, and then kinda cleared up. But it never got all that warm. At least it wasn’t a total loss, as I managed to get the oil changed in the tractor and some weed-whacking with the grass blade (which always kinda scares me ever since I hit a rock with one a couple years back and the guards kinda exploded. So now I’ve got no guard). Today they say it’ll be sunny, so we’ll see what happens. Since we’re back to a stinkin’ two-day weekend, today is laundry, shopping, and grass-cutting day. Not necessarily in that order.
I’ll also be trying to restrain myself from ordering an Android tablet that I’ve been coveting from afar for a while now. Stupid Tiger Direct e-mails.
It’s back to the MacBook this morning, as the touchpad seems to be cooperating again. It seems to work for a week or two, and then I have to shut the thing down and let it sit for a couple of weeks before it’ll play nice again. I guess it’s some sort of a feature.
If you ask me, Apple needs a lot less Jobs, and a whole lot more Woz.
Damn, only 7:00? How early are you allowed to start making noise on a Sunday?
The ayn Rand problem for the GOP:
As long as the subject of weather has been raised, I’ve got one.
Rare June rain smashes records in Bay Area
We’ve have had to close to record setting rain for the month of June before the 5th. Thankfully there was a dry window yesterday for the Rockies to triumph over the Giants in a game where the Giants totally out-pitched the Rocks and also banged the ball pretty well but mostly into a mitt somewhere. when they needed the clutch hit.
They lost from a few defensive miscues as a sudden rash of injuries has a lot of younger players thrown into the breach. Still fun and I did get a Cody Ross bobblehead on a day he went deep for the only run. And no, pj, I don’t know if the head was smaller than the Bonds bobblehead. I am back out to the ball yard today. I hope the rain holds off again for a while.
Well I don’t know if the Rockies were “totally outpitched” on a four hit game that they won yesterday but I know today a slightly less anemic offense-challenged team beat a very anemic offense 2-1. :fustrate:
I apologize for not captializing the “C” in Champs yesterday so that there could be no mistaking my intent. :tap:
I was going to be nice and only say that the Tim Tebow appearance on the Daily Show was not the best thing that I have ever seen on the show.
Today the Rockies hurler took a no-hitter pretty far into the game but the Giants pitcher wasn’t to shabby either. Yesterday those were 9 hits pretty scattered and the Giant pitcher was more in control whereas they should have take Chacin apart. Their relievers totally shut down the Giants in the last 3 innings. They hit the ball as I said. It turned on a defensive miscue. Today the shoes changed feet.
To everyone from the Springs, Timmy Tebow is :jesus:
If you like pitcher’s duel’s, the last two games were pretty exciting- for me, not so much.
I miss the Blake Street Bombers-
Gallaraga, Bichette, Castilla
Hell, I miss Tulowitzki and Cargo from last year 😐
These days being a Giants fan requires a love of great pitching. As for Tebow, he seemed nicely boring enough but I don’t like the jocks that wear the :jesus: on their sleeve.
At least he didn’t mention :jesus: with Stewart (that I remember)
He’s just cashing it in while he can. It’s not clear at all that he’s going to be starting for the Broncos (or anyone else).
If what he said is true, he’s doing some good with his millions which is more than I can say for my thousands.
At Neumos again. Probably shouldn’t be here; should be studying for my final that’s on Thurs..
