What with the crappy weather, I got around to watching the pilot (so to speak) episode of Pan Am this morning. I had high hopes – well, moderate hopes, anyway – that it would be a decent show. I mean, who doesn’t love 1963, when cars were made out of metal, skinny women packed themselves into girdles (I think the purpose was to make their beehive hairdos pop out of the tops of their heads), and the USA ruled the skies?
Can’t say as I’m too impressed so far. I thought it would be, well, what’s the word? Interesting. First episode? Not so much. Maybe it’ll get better, though I’m not sure I’ll give it many more chances. Perhaps Suburgatory will be better.
I gave up pretending I give a crap about who’s on the Booblehead shows quite a while back. However, if you’re bored and the weather sucks in your neck of the woods the way it will apparently suck (again) in mine, you might want to kill three hours watching BookTV on CSPAN2 starting at noon (Eastern) today, because Michael Moore will be on.
Then again, maybe you’d prefer to kill time watching football and doing your laundry – ‘cuz you sure as shit aint gonna get the grass cut. Not with all this rain and cold – though they say it’s supposed to get up to 60 today and just be cloudy. So maybe I can cut the grass after all. We’ll see. That reminds me, I need to fill up my diesel cans.
