Bad news, homos, heathens, and perverts: Rick Santorum stormed through the Minnesota and Colorado caucuses and took the non-binding, what the fuck’s the point, Missouri primary. Better make a piacular (today’s word of the day) sacrifice and change your ways, lest the frothy fury of President Santorum rain down upon you. And nobody wants that.
It’s not all good news for the righteous, though. Yesterday, the godless 9th Circuit struck down California’s Prop 8, spouting some kind of cockamamie drivel about people having the right to marry whoever the hell they want. Balderdash, I say. Don’t fret, though. This will end up at the Supreme Court, where Saint Thomas Scalius and his hooded colleagues are sure to set things right.
It’s every-other Wednesday meeting day but, alas, the stupid meeting has been cancelled. It was cancelled last time around, too. I just don’t think this guy is taking this thing seriously anymore. Or perhaps he’s realized it’s a pointless time waster.
Nah, can’t be that.
Guess yesterday was a bad day for the Mormons what with Prop 8 & Mittens’ loss. Imagine the righteous will appeal to full en banc court of appeals before heading to the Supremes. :joe:
How do you think that this case is going to go down? It was very narrowly decided but if it it gets appealed to that uber-librul 9th en banc, could they broaden the scope of the ruling? Would that be better or worse for the anti-Prop 8 cause? As a narrow ruling, it may mean that the Supremes might just pass on it although I can’t imagine them keeping their noses out of an opportunity to preserve and extend hate and repression. The dissenting judge of the three was a mormon. Since Prop H8 was predominantly sponsored by the LDS, it smells bad. Of course, the other side objected loudly when it was discovered that the judge who wrote the original was Gay :omg: and conflicted. Perhaps maybe some of the str8 judges might be conflicted in a different way. Funny that recusal is only an issue when the perceived conflicts of a lefty nature.

Sorry for the bad grammar or omissions. Reply doesn’t give an edit function that I can see.
Well, OKat, you should be comforted to know that your State Legislature is working hard to protect you from Aborted Fetuses in Food. :omg:
Another public health problem to worry about. I will never cease to be amazed by the crazy shit the wingnuts come up with. :sammy:
