I might say that it sucks to have to go back to work today and leave the puppies. But I actually need the rest, so I’m kind of looking forward to it. Between trying to take everybody outside to play (and poop and pee) and trying to keep Fritz from killing one of them (things are still a little tense when we’re all inside, and the cats, well, they are definitely not happy with the new situation. I’m just hoping that the puppy containment area will hold them. Otherwise, I shudder to think what I’ll come home to tonight.
I was worried about the toll the two would take on Fritz transitioning from an older and slower buddy to two rambunctious southern dogs fresh off of the underground railroad. I didn’t even think of the toll they might take on Bloggy Daddy. As for the sleeping question, every night is :pup: :pup: :pup: night now.
Just like I do on the other amateur nights like NYE, St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween, and whatever day that is when the Asian cultures ignite large amounts of explosives, I will make sure I am safely inside before sundown today.
Saw this guy last night.
Someone suggested that I should have posted this link the other day.

Whenever I have introduced a young animal to my menagerie I’ve found the old ones seem aware that the babe is a babe and have treated it with tolerance. Once, however, I left a very tiny kitten and my 95 pound dog together and went to work. When I came home the dog had the kitten in her mouth and, horrified, I assumed the kitten was dead. But the dog came trotting up to me an deposited a very wet but very much alive kitten in my lap. Not surprisingly that kitten got named Puppy as she spent many hours being carried around by her adopted canine mom.
I think your new puppies, PJ, have done what we all thought was impossible: they made you want to go to work.
