It’s been a long week, and a good one to get over with. It was summer for a couple of days, but now it’s winter again, and the ground is covered with a thin blanket of snow. But that’s only supposed to last for a couple of days, and then it’ll be warm again. Quite a roller coaster. Or at least it feels like a roller coaster. It was really windy while I was driving home last night, and the car was getting blown around. At least, I think that was happening. It’s getting hard to tell if things are really moving, or it’s just me. Speaking of me, I guess I’d better get moving and get this day over with.
Although going to work is not your favorite activity, PJ, I am glad you have been OK enough to do it. I hope you’re feeling better.
When the Wall Street Journal/NBC News survey asked last summer which party should control Congress, a slim 46-42 percent plurality of women said it should be the Democrats.
But in a survey released Monday, compiling polling since the beginning of the year, that figure had widened considerably to a 15-point advantage for the Democrats, according to polling by the team of Democratic pollster Peter Hart and Republican Bill McInturff. Fifty-one percent favored Democratic control; only 36 percent wanted to see the Republicans in charge.

William Brown — a Rutgers-Camden law student opposes the governor’s plan to merge his school with Rowan University, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Brown asked the governor during a town hall meeting in Burlington County to consider how the merger would affect students, and veteran students in particular, before going ahead with his plan. Christie responded by telling Brown the merger was going to happen because it would provide bigger and better opportunities.
The situation escalated into a shouting match, and Brown continued to make his argument while Christie was speaking, saying that no one in South Jersey wanted this to happen.
Christie ordered Brown escorted out and said, “If you decide what you want to do is put on a show today, let me tell you something, I can go back and forth with you as much as you want. And let me tell you something, after you graduate from law school, you conduct yourself like that in a court room, your rear end’s gonna get thrown in jail, idiot.”
After Brown left, Chrisite said, “You know, I tried to be patient with the guy. Every time I tried to answer, he started yelling over me again. Damn, man, I’m governor, could you just shut up for a second?”
